I just came home today from a 3 night stay at Palazzo. I only live about 12 minutes away but was invited for a tournament and every once in a while I indulge myself with a ultra comfy bed at the Venetian/Palazzo.

I must say that I don't think I would be bright enough to work at a hotel casino.

After lunch today at Noodle Asia in the Venetian, I started walking back to the Palazzo to check out. But before doing so, I stopped by the Casino Credit desk next to the main cashier cage to see if they would comp the lunch I just had with my kids and their friends (bill was about $110). They looked up my account and with a push of a button, it was comped....whew! Sooooooo, I continue my trek back to Palazzo, and I run into my host in the corridor. He says to me that he has comped me for all my meals during the past few days, and I told him that my latest lunch was just comped. He then says to me, "we have you coming back in on the 18th, right???" I had to laugh and said, "I don't know, you tell me, how in the world do you remember that?" I told him I would make him my PDA. I was so amazed that he remembered I was checking back in, considering he was not by a computer.

I don't think I'm bright enough to work at a hotel/casino.

NEXT:

I go up to my room, grab my bags, sent my kids and luggage to the car, while I go to the VIP Lounge to check out. Disappointedly, there was only 1 staff member there, and she was helping a guest, and it looked like it was going to be a long one. There are usually 3 - 4 people there. Five minutes later another hotel clerk arrives and looks at me and says, hey, Miss Lee, how are you doing?" YIKES! How did he remember my name? He was not the one to check me in a few days earlier. He checked me in probably back in April.

What a memory! Sigh,I don't think I'm bright enough to work at a hotel/casino.

This happened to me at Bellagio also. I just had a normal check in (not in the VIP lounge) once, and a few months later when I stayed there again, I end up with the same hotel clerk. He saw me and addressed me by my name BEFORE I gave him my ID. Does anyone know how crowded the Bellagio check in is? Does anyone realize how many guests they handle?

Double sigh, I don't think I'm bright enough to work at a hotel/casino.

About 6 years ago when I was still living in Boston, I had flown to Caesars for the weekend. I had checked into the hotel in the morning, and in the mid afternoon I saw the new shift of workers coming in. Amongst the incoming group was a cashier clerk who worked in the main cashier cage, he immediately said to me, Happy Birthday Doris! I said, "how did you know?" (It's not like he had the computer in front of him!!!!) He replied, "he just knew I would be coming in for my birthday"!

Sigh, Sigh, Sigh, I don't think I'm bright enough to work at a hotel/casino. LOL LOL LOL

To sum it up, I am thoroughly impressed by some of the people who work at these establishments. They go through great lengths to provide great customer service.

I hope that other board members have also experienced the kind of customer service I have had the fortune of receiving.

Know what you mean, girl. This past weekend we checked into the Grand at Biloxi. Never been there before....
Now our last name is NOT an easy one to remember. BUT as we walked by the lobby the girl who checked us in called out - "How is the room, Mrs. S....?" AND she even pronounced it correctly. LOL

All I ever get is, "Hey you, get out of there before I call security."

and so, after they tell you that, do you obey?
