Came into town for pleasure on 10/13/05 and checked out 10/16/05. Stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Let me say first off I am a fan of the Hard Rock brand. I collect pins of theirs and enjoy visting the cafe's where ever I may go. I usually hit their casino as well when in town. The casino's slots havent been that great to me in the past, With theexception of hitting a $125.00 wheel of fortune spin, it wasnt that great this time either.

A friend of a friend got us the rooms at a discounted rate which was nice. I think we paid $79.00 on night, $139.00 for another two or something like that. Usual price was $299.00 from what I understood..

The casino is nice. Not as huge as one like NY, NY or MGM Grand or even Treasure Island. It's clean and has a variety of games for just about everyone.

I only ate at Mr. Luck's 24/7 for breakfast. The food is served timely however you may have to wait to get in there.. it's a popular spot. Oh, I did eat at the Pink Taco (twice!) which is a very good mexican resteraunt and has awesome margaritas.. highly recommended.

I didnt visit the pool but it was viewable from my room. really a nice one and from what I understand it ws voted #1 pool in LV.

I didnt visit the gym but understand it was $20.00 per day for use of the facilities.

Our room was on the 6th floor, pool view. Two queen beds. Room was average size. Had mini bar complete with $6.00 water. Ironing board and iron were included. Also the radio alram clock was one of those really nice Bose Wave radios. The flat screen TV on the wall was nice and big. HRH showed many concerts on their channels such as Led Zepplin or Woodstock The Movie. Walls had photographes of Jimi and Nine Inch Nails in our room. Nice touch. The A/C in there was good and got the place chilly pretty quick.

Walls are paper thin. The room next to us on Thursday night had a party. The party started about 3:00am.. (keep in mind I am still on Eastern Time so it's really 6:00am for me) complete with raging stereo. There must have been 30 people in that room. About 4:00am we called security. About 5 minutes later security came and told them, apparently, to turn down the music. They complied but the noise wasnt diminished by much. In fact the yelling, screaming were louder then ever. They moved into the hallway and sounded like they were playing football. Also, hearing someone puking wasn't what I was wanting to hear at 4:30am.

Called security a second time. 4:30am.. security came up and got them in the room and the party broke up about 20 minutes later. Need less to say, I didnt get much sleep that night.

Next morning I went to the front desk and told them what had happend. I said that I didnt know if these people were checking out or would be back but if what happend the morning/night before happend again I was going to be back and Pissed off.. the clerk apologized..said she couldnt guarentee it wouldnt happen again but to call security right away if it did. No offer for comps for my trouble.

Friday night.. 2:30am.. screaming, yelling, running up and down the halls 6th floor. Group of 7 sitting in the elevator lobby having a party. I am all for a good time.. I give them the benefit of the doubt thinking it would be a brief thing. Wrong. I got out of bed and went to the elevator to go down to the front desk. I was asked to show my "tits" on my way into the elevator. When I didnt I was called an "asshole". Class. Went to the front desk and reported the trouble and that I was really not happy. My 3rd report of incidents that were not allowing me to sleep in 24 hours. Again, no offer of comp for my trouble. They were calling security I was told. Dont know if they ever came back..the party finally broke up around 3:45. Then, you guessed it, the group next door started up. I'm going to leave the story there.

This place is a frat house. Do not stay here unless you want to party all night. It is noisy and apparently that is not much of a problem for the hotel.

I would not stay here again if the room was free. The people that stay here are younger (25-35..I'm 39) and mainly men walking around in button down shirts with a look on their face like they are ready to beat someones ass or are looking for that quick hook-up. Lots of fake people here. Lots of plastic surgery around there.

I did see a few rock stars there.. Michael Lardie from Great White, Jack Blades from Night Ranger and Damn Yankees, Bobby Dahl from Poison.

If you are really young and ready to be up all night, this is your place. If you want to get some sleep, avoid this place at all costs. I won't be back.

It's ashame you didn't get any compensation for your trouble. I agree, there's nothing wrong with partying, but...3 nights in a row is a bit much. I'm tired just reading your report. Hope your next trip at a different hotel works out better for ya!

No response from security heh? Should anything like that happen to you again, I recommend that you call Las Vegas Metro. Management certainly see them going to their rooms, they will be responsive. :)

That sounds like the 'ROCK' these days...I get the $69.- $79. emails
quite often but I don't stay there any more...just go over to play.

Years ago, before I chose the RIO as my home base, I'd stay there alot.
The atmosphere was loud/fun/Rock 'n Roll but the 24/7 crazies hadn't set
in as much as they are now.

HARD ROCK IN THE DAYS OF OLD...
I got my first Jackpot there. It was on a WILD CHERRY, quarter slot,
HIT THE JACKPOT ($380.) In those days it was a big deal...lights, bells,
floor people gathered round, got a HR baseball cap, T-Shirt, $hand-pay...
...NOT ANY MORE.
FUNNIEST THING comparing THEN to NOW...
It was just after Midnight, I was in my room (why?...I haven't a clue)
I had DAVID LETTERMAN on the tube and he was broadcasting LIVE
from London. His musical guests were LITTLE RICHARD and CHUCK BERRY.
The volume WAS NOT turned up loud and the phone rings..............
It was the Front Dest asking me to TURN DOWN MY ROCK 'N ROLL MUSIC!
...Cracked Me Up BIG TIME!

The HARD ROCK can be lots of fun. Understand it's party central if you
choose to stay there and just join in...it's not always like that, but it's
the nature of the place these days, so just be aware.

I agree with Vegas Traveller to call the police if you do not get a response from the building security. Especially if people are hanging out in the hallway or elevator lobby, that is a safety issue.

There are plenty of public places to party in a casino. Should be the opposite of "get a room" - "get away from the room"

And - its not too late. If you are so inclined, write a letter (a real letter not email to the general manager.) Especially the part about the "nice"comments from the elevator crowd. Just imagine if those party idiots decided to follow some other guest to her room. If you feel like taking the time to write the letter, I'd also make a specific request, that you felt your money was wasted, you did not get what you paid for and ask for a partial or complete refund. After all, sounds like you don't want them to offer you a future comp.

If you do so, please let us know how it works out!
