We had a grand time. Stayed at the Monte Carlo where the staff were extremely pleasant! Yes the walls to the rooms are a little thin but by the time I returned to my room each night I was to tired to care.

Our son, his wife and her parents stayed at the Jockey Club. Our son and daughter-in-law are timeshare memebers there. They enjoyed having the amenities of home in their room (coffe pot, refrigerator, real cups to drink hot coffee from). We stayed there once and found it to be ok. Difficult to get a taxi there.

We had breakfast at Ellis Island twice and yes it was great. Our waiter was "Steve" and he was the most friendly and attentive wait staff I can recall in a long time. Ask for him if you go there.

We visited Samstown for the first time. What a friendly bunch of people. If you like Mexican food you must try Willy and Jose's. The food is very plentiful and taste excellent. The margaritas are to die for.

We ate at PF Chang's one night. The food was great but the enviorment temperature was uncomfortable. I was told their thermostate was controlled by Aladdin. They do not have any ceiling fans upstairs and of course with heart rising it was not pleasant.

We saw KA at the MGM. The show was fascinating! We attended the 10:30 show which is kind of late since it's not over until midnight. We are early risers and don't stay up as late as we used to.

We had good luck playing craps at Sahara, Monte Carlo, Samstown and Stardust.
