Sure hope THIS is the correct place to bring this up. Maybe it belongs in the questions about Vegas section instead. I don't really know.
I realize that this is similar to Andrea's thread, but I am looking for the hard copies that I can physically pick up while I am in town.
Anyway....
I have often wondered when I am in Vegas just where to find the booklets like "Best Read Guide", "Vegas for Visitors" etc that have some coupons and also tell what is going on during the week while I am in town. Also where can coupons be found?
For me, it has generally been a hit or miss situation. Usually, I just find some of them in passing.
When I have rented a car from Alamo, they had quite an extensive rack of coupons and several booklets. Lately, I have been renting from Dollar and they do not have such a rack. Dollar usually has a sheet of coupons in the car when you pick it up, but they haven't been ones that appealed to me.
The 18 pages of coupons listed by "Bill here" (at Vegas Resource.com) must be free to the general public, but where do they actually come from? He charges a small fee if you order the coupons from him. But, they surely must be available from somewhere.
I do know that coupons are available for 2 for 1 shows performing at Harrahs and Rio and can be obtained in the Carnival court. Sometimes their buffet discounts can be found here. too.
Does anyone know where the coupons, the pamphlets and the booklets can easily be found with a large variety available at one particular site?

Thanks. I do know about Bill here, but of course, you have to order those coupons in advance.
I'm trying to find out where members have found and/or picked up those weekly booklets, coupons, pamphlets etc. that I can get when I am in Vegas. I like "Best Read Guide" and some of the others, but can't always find them.
I'd like to know where people have seen them with some regularity.
The websites that someone (sorry I forget who) provided on Andrea's earileir posting are excellent and you can print the coupons off of most of them as well.

The first book I picked up was in a rack in my cab. Full of coupons. When I got to my room (NYNY) there were several magazines filled with what was going on as well as plenty of special offers and coupons. I didn't think to look around the airport as I was arriving. But there may be something there.

Usually you can find coupons, Booklets, etc at the Info Centers.
Additionally Las Vegas Advisor List some coupon books avail from hotels with tips and how to get them if you are not staying. Not to many hotels have good books anymore. :(

We get most of our coupons from the freebie magazines. We have good luck finding them upstairs at Imperial Palace near the bar. We also find some different things on a rack just outside the coffee shop at Barbary Coast. Our big find this summer was a voucher for Fremont Street Experience coupons. Just take the card to a kiosk on Fremont Street (we saw 2 of them) and turn them in for some really great coupons. $off, 2-4-1 ... at several downtown casinos. It's really worth it to get this if you're going to spend any time downtown.

;) I got the three small coupon books + some flyers from people handing them out on the street, have seen them near Paris/Aladdin & near Stardust/W Ho.
Some may think they are "porn slappers"
but they are "coupon givers"
I get showbiz & whatson from the casino belldesks if they are not in my room. sometimes i just look at each casino's belldesk. there used to be a rack at Bally's &
Fitzgeralds & Plaza.
Most people buy the good coupons
for meals & shows
from ACG or LVA.

I have found coupon booklets in these places in the
past HOWEVER I'm not sure if they currently are in
the same spots. Haven't checked ALL of the recently--
MGM--at bell desk, next to main check-in desk at back of casino. They even have foreign language ones here!
Ballys--used to have a rack with tons of coupons by Bell Desk next to escalators by front doors--not sure if it's still there.
Rio--at front desk/VIP check-in desk. AND ask if they have any coupons, too. I've gotten a few of them that way--altho they were Harrahs/Rio specific.
Flamingo--at Bell desk next to main check-in desk
Excalibur--on sides of front ticket booth --directly in front of main entrance area
IP--sportsbook
Palms--front desk
Gold Coast--at Bell desk
Barbary Coast--entrance to Victorian Room
LV Hilton--check-in counter and show tickets counter

If you're near the I.P. just head up to the Sportsbar and just before the entrance to the race book, on the left is a rack with all kinds of magazine's on it.
I believe they are also at the baggage area at the airport.

I kind of thought that there would be some of you out there that would know where to find those racks with the booklets, pamphlets, coupons, etc. in the hotels and within the city.
I am going to LV Nov 9th with a group of about 35 from work. They are of varied ages and interests. Some have never been to LV, some once or twice, but not recently. Although I am not in charge of the group, I can't help myself but to offer suggestions of ways to save a few bucks while in Vegas.
I will print out all of your suggestions and let them look for themselves if they are interested. I know I will be checking out the spots you folks suggested when I am in those areas.
Steve, jeanhaka and Bookkeeper, your suggestiona are specifically valuable, since the group is staying at the IP. I am staying at the Luxor so if anyone knows of any place within the Luxor/Mandalay Bay complex where these things can be found, please let me know.
Thanks, again, to all!

There is a rack next to the desk that says "Luxor Tickets" that has free magazines...not sure if it's "What's On" or the other one. (I was just at Luxor last month.)
