Flew Out On Jet Blue From Ny And Had The Best Flight One Could Have. We Arrived At Harrahs Around 10:15 Am And Checked In. I Requested A Room With A View And Was Given A Nice Clean Room, But With A View Of The Parking Garage. On The Harrahs Web Site, While Checking Out My Offers, I Had An Offer For 2 Free Tickets To The Scintas (an Excellent Show), So I Went To Total Rewards To Get My Voucher For The Tickets. For Some Reason, I Didn't Get The Physical Coupon In The Mail, And I Called Customer Relations In Advance And Was Told That The Tickets Would Be There For Me. They Insisted That Platinum Players Don't Get 2 Free Tickets, That They Get 2 For 1. I Still Have That Offer On My Computer Right Now. After Arguing With Them, I Decided I Didn't Want To Pay 2 For 1. About A Few Hours Later, They Were Handing Out Coupons For 2 For 1 Out There In Carnival Court. You Didn't Even Have To Have A Card To Get The 2 For 1. I Waited A Couple Of More Hours And There Was Another Person At Total Rewards Working. She Was A Former New Yorker And After About 15 Minutes, She Sent An Email To The Rio And Told Me To Get My Tickets The Next Day, Which I Finally Did. I Was Annoyed That They Mail You The Cash Back As I Expect To Get Over $100 Between Vegas And Tahoe Which We Were At From 10/5-10/8. Everybody That Uses Harrahs Should Write Them And Tell Threm That Cash Back For Tourists Living Over A 200 Mile Radius Should Be Same Day. Locals Under 200 Miles Should Get Mail Cash Back. It's Bad Enough That I Got Screwed Out Of $100 Birthday Gift From Harrahs, Atlantic City As I Was In Tahoe The Day It Was To Be Used And They Wouldn't Transfer The Money. I Asked Them Instead Of Transferring The Money To Add It To My Comp Account And They Wouldn't Do That Either. As Far As I'm Concerned Thier Total Rewards Stinks, Because When It Comes To Cash Earned, You Can't Use It In Any Other Of Their Casino's Except The One You Earned It In. Their Machines In Vegas Are Very Tight As They Are In Atlantic City, But They Are A Bit Looser In Lake Tahoe. We Saw Ann Margaret, Gordie Brown And The Scintas All Of Which Were Great Shows.the Show V Wasn't That Good (legends At The Imperial Palace Is Much Better Than V). We Ate At Dishes Buffet And The Rio Carnival Buffet, Magniloa's Downtown, Ellis Island, And The Chinese Restuarant At The Imperial Palace. All The Food We Had Wherever We Ate Was Excellent. The Harrahs Casino In Tahoe Is A Real Beauty. We Were Comped All 3 Nites There (only 2 In Vegas) And Had A Real Large Room With 2 Queen Size Beds, A 36 Inch Tv, A Very Large Desk And A Large Couch. The Room Had 2 Baths, One With A Tub And The Other With A Shower. Both Baths Had Tv,s And We Had A Good View Of The Lake. The Buffet In Harrahs Tahoe Was Very Good Compared To The Awful Harrahs Buffet In Vegas. (we Tried The Breakfast Buffet At Harrahs Vegas Once And Had Better At Denny's Next Store. We Didn't Try The Evening Buffet As Too Many People Said It Was Awful. We Did Spend A Day Looking At Houses Near Summerlin And Found A Couple In A Gated Community For One Person In The Household Being 55 Or Older.

I have been annoyed with the Actual Coupon thing at Harrahs as well. If they send you the offer via e-mail, yiou should not have to have the coupon as well. A lot of times the coupon does not arrive until after the dates have expired. This is where a casion host can come in handy. We don't generally use a host, but we have booked through the website on one of the offers and did not recieve a coupon, called a host and everything was taken care of.

I Had Asked For A Host, But Being A Platinum Player, They Said That I Didn't Qualify To Have A Host. I've Been A Platinum Player For 6 Years, But All They Care About Now Are The Diamond Players. They Forgot That It Was The Low Rollers That Got Them Started. Now, You Can Write Them A Letter And They Don't Even Answer It. Next Time I'm In Vegas I Will Look To See If Any Casino Has The Same Day Cash Back. I'll Probably Have To Go Downtown Or To A Locals Casino As Harrahs And MGM Own Most Of The Strip. As Far As Up Here In NY, I Think I'll Go Back To Resorts, Where I Started.

Just saw your trip report. Enjoyed reading it. We, too are NOT Happy Harrahs Campers, with their slots payback tightened up at their casinos, and now the Caesars Casinos as well. We also played at Harrahs Atlantic City, and Caesars, AC, and are very unhappy with the slots. Used to be Platinum Cardholders, (hubby and me) but fell from Platinum because we got tired of feeding the slots and not getting anything back, no fun! They now raised the minimum to 4,000 points instead of 3,000 to reach Platinum. We loved Caesars, and now, since the takeover, they are also tightening their slots.

Well, they aren't the only ones in town, they're forcing us to try the
Trop or Trump's 3 casinos, or the Sands or Resorts/Hilton.

My hubby suggests we skip our monthly Atlantic City visits altogether, and
just do Vegas trips twice a year. It has been more fun and more profitable on our last two Vegas Trips, at the Monte Carlo and the Orleans, than all of this years monthly jaunts to AC.

We played at the Monte Carlo in Vegas in May and October, and they have same day cash back, when you go to the One Card Desk, at the end of your day, or stay. We love it there.

Good luck wherever you decide to play.
