Does anyone know if you get free drinks in the sportsbook if you have made a bet? I'm staying at Caesars

not at MGM, not sure about others,You have to ask for a drink voucher when you place your bet. Some do, some dont

Most places give out drink vouchers with your bets.....just ask for them. Other places will have coctail service where just a tip is required.

You can always sit at the racebook, order a few drinks where you don't need a voucher and just bring them to the sportsbook. :)

I go to the Venetian Sports Book. I think it's one of the better ones on the strip.

I place two or three bets (not huge ones), then sit to watch the game. The cocktails are offered for the price of tips. The servers are very attentive and friendly. I alternate between glenlivet single malt scotch (neat) and bottled water.

The foregoing is one of the things that makes Las Vegas great. By extension, it is one of the things that makes America great.

The Venetian...

Lat summer my friends and I stopped by the Venetian sportsbook to watch a baseball game. We did not even place a wager and the cocktail waitresses made their rounds asking if we wanted drinks... al we did was tipped for every drink and they kept them coming.

Plus there were pretty good drinks at that (Mai Tais and Long Islands if I recall... :) )

Not sure about Caesars but from what I've seen the Mirage has pretty good drink service in the sportsbook.

Wildpitcher and RJE are right on. We stay at the Venetian every trip and we end up spending a lot of time in the sports book to bet on the ponies and watch the games. The drinks flow like a water fall and you tip appropriately and they are so attentive and get to know you and ensure that you have everything that you need and maybe sometimes even more than you should have (lol). They have no idea if you have a five dollar bet or a five thousand dollar bet but they are there with the booze and you can order some really nice beverages there. If you are gambling, keep the drinks under control until you have completed your analysis and then bottoms up!

Good Luck

The Ventian still gives free drinks.Best service on the strip.Barbary Coast need to ask for a ticket and selection is limited.MGM no drinks for sportsbets just ponies.

I am going out in March for the basketball tourney.

Any other suggestions in case V is crowded.

The level of drink service can be hit or miss. I've waited nearly 45 min for a drink @ the LVH superbook. And, in my book, that's not so good. Plus, the waitress asked to see if i had a betting slip in hand.

I still havent been to the V sportsbook - from what you fellas are saying - sounds like a winner.

When i stayed at the Mirage a year ago, the waitress came by and CHARGED for drinks... however, the folks sitting at the counters watching the ponies never payed for a drink.

The IP has always had great drink service in the RACE book (also in the stadium seating). There's a few girls there that a simple $1 tip will keep them coming, start tipping $2 or $3 & they'll ask you "do you want me to just bring you 2 at a time?". Woohoo!! Two bucks is norm for me anyhoo.

LJG... that's true - keep your senses, make your selections, then drink up !!!!

We where at ceasars jan 14 for the football games and could not find a place to set in the sportsbook nad the reacbook was reserved for ceasars guest and big bettors. A friend of mine went to place a wager on the football game (60) and asked for a drink ticket and the guy at the book said you had to bet at least $300 to get a ticket. We left and went over to harrahs and stayed the rest of the day and had no problem with getting drinks. The first two rounds our cw left so fast we did not even get to tip her but we made up for it the rest of the day.:D
