Just wonder if anybody had dined there and what they thought.

My wife and I both ate at Emerils Fishhouse for our anniversary. It was an excellent dinning experience. The service was perfect. The food was great. You have to try the Banana Cream Pie for dessert. The bill for two with drinks was about $140.00. A little expensive for us, but it was great for the special occassion. Hope you enjoy.

I have eaten at Emeril's Fish House MGM twice! I loved it. It is expensive, but very flavorful! You're going to have a hard time picking what to order from his menu! My husband and I also went there and just sat at the raw bar and ate some shrimp, clams, etc. and had a few drinks. Was like being home on the boardwalk at the Jersey shore at one of our raw bars.

Enjoy your meal!

My daughter and I ate at Emeril's Fishhouse at MGM and the food is great. It is a bit pricey but well worth the money. The staff is superb and treated us like royalty. The banana cream pie is large enough for two but order your own. Yummy! I would suggest that you try Emeril's and I think you will like it.

I ate there in '99 - VERY good. It's been remodeled since; I've got
reservations there on 10/22 - looking forward to it.

The banana pie is great - the bbq shrimp app is excellent too. Worth every $$$.

We went for lunch and found the food and service excellent.
The barbecue shrimp with tiny biscuits is yummy! Hubby wanted red beans and rice, which either was not on the lunch menu, or not on the menu at all.
Our waiter brought him some from the staff dining room.

Emeril's Fishhouse makes the most awesome crabcakes! I think what really makes them is the sauce they serve with them!! It is a nice place for decent food. Been there once for dinner and once for lunch.

Sorry to be a wet blanket, however, we have dined at Emerils once, and that was enough. Being from New England, we have the best fresh fish. Had the fish, it was just awful and very pricy. Sorry

My wife and I have dined at Emerills twice - and both times we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Is it pricey? Of course it is - but you should expect it to be pricey for the kind of restaurant it is. It is a true dining experience from presentation to flavoring. My recommendation - Cedar plank steak (probably the best steak I have ever had), garlic "smashed" potatoes, and the barbecue shrimp. For dessert, the banana cream pie cannot be beat. If you are worried about the price or how much you will spend for food - this is not the place for you. It should be a treat and a dining experience to enjoy.

I've eaten at Emeril's once, and thought it was good but not great. MGM has better restaurants.

I went to Emerils for lunch. It was pretty good, but nothing to rave about. A little too pricey for me...I would only go back if someone else was treating :)

Ate at Emerils several times for lunch before the renovated. Had dinner there about a year ago and it was the worst experience we've had in Las Vegas. I ordered the tasting menu (without wine) and my wife ordered a lobster. My 'menu' was so bad and over seasoned that for the first time in my life I actually sent a dish back. My wifes lobster was dry and overcooked. Without drinks the bill was nearly $200 and certainly not worth it. I love Emeril and have eaten in 5 of his resturants but never again at the MGM.

We have eaten there in previous trips and the food was excellent and relatively inexpensive. In this last trip in November, we were disappointed. We were seated in the 'cafe' area and did not get the service we had gotten in the dining room. If you pay the same price for food, you should get the same service, too. I don't think we'll go back here any time soon.

I have ate there twice, before and after remodeling, like the layout better after remodeling, last time ate at the bar as it was very busy- and it was great- better service than even at the regular dining room! A bit pricey but still was value for the money- Emerils own wine is very good and inexpensive for a place like this in Vegas! Just ate this week at Bobby Flays at Ceasars- would go back to Emerils before Bobby's!

it's been a few years since I've been there but the food was great. at the time they had a pre fix menu (as well as the regular menu) and a wine pairing with it. that was a great way to try new wines that the chef thought went with the food. i'll eat there again on another trip

I realize that this is an older thread but I must share my experience with all of you Vegas junkies. My first visit to Las Vegas, I had a streak of Lady Luck like you wouldn't believe. I'm also a self-proclaimed foodie. My husband told me that we would take our winnings and go to one of the Emeril's restaurants and the sky was the limit. Well, I must tell you that the NO Fish House delivered.

We had a lovely intimate table and the service was phenomenal. Our server was very informative and attentive. The seafood was incredible. The mix of flavors made my tastebuds come alive. Our meal was $400 for the two of us including tip but before you turn tail and run, we also had 2 rather expensive bottles of wine so you figure about $200 for just dinner and tip, including our pre-dinner cocktails. I have also since then dined at all three of his restaurants in New Orleans and the Delmonico in Vegas. All were wonderful.

Jim,

My husband and I are foodies. One of the best places we have found is the DelMonaco at the Venetian (it's Emeril's Steak House). It's expensive, but worth it.
We've eaten at Emeril's seafood restaurant at the MGM three times. The first two times were outstanding but this past November was not nearly as good. Food was average and service was bad.
We also love going to Lawry's Prime Rib. Very attentative waiter and warm, sophisticated atmosphere. Great Food, too.
