It was in our local paper yesterday from the entertainment reporter Norm Clarke that the new Management of the Golden Nugget (Landry's) has cancelled Lon Bronson and the last show will be this Saturday!
Bad decision, Lon Bronson and the All Star Band is wonderful! Hope they get a new gig soon!

I'm really sorry to read that. We were planning to hear Lon Bronson & his band in 2 weeks. It seemed like a good double-header to see Gordie Brown and Lon Bronson on the same night.
I do appreciate your posting the news, and please let us know if you hear that they've got a new venue.
Thanks!

I'll post if I hear anything new on Lon...like Norm Clarke said, it won't be long before they get another venue.
You're gonna love Gordie!;)

Just got this info from Lon's PR people:
The Lon Bronson All-Star Band will be finishing up at the Golden Nugget (where they have been headlining since May 2004) this Saturday night-October 15th. Landry’s bought the Golden Nugget and has made some changes in the entertainment line up. Lon will have a new room announcement shortly-as the longest running band in Vegas history, we’re certain that he’s putting something wonderful together.
Lon was named musical director for the upcoming Las Vegas Comedy Festival (to be held in Las Vegas Nov 17-19th). Shows will be taped for HBO and TBS-this is a star studded line up!
Lon is conducting a 12 piece orchestra at “Comedy You Can’t Refuse” on November 12th at the Las Vegas Hilton. The show (which will be touring the Northeast with 3 dates early this fall) stars Steve Schirripa and Michael Imperioli from the Sopranos (show will also be at House of Blues, Atlantic City, Foxwoods, CT and Westbury Music Fair in NY).
Lon and the All-Star Band released their first cd “LIVE” this past April. It received 5 out of 5 Stars from Las Vegas Weekly. CD features Band favorites from past 15 years and 3 originals written by Doc Kupka from Tower of Power. It is doing very well and is available at the official website http://lonbronson.com
