One of the girls we are going to Vegas with will be attending the barry Manilow concert and the rest ofus have decided to skip the concert but we all wanted to do a nice dinner together before hand.

Are there any suggestions for a decent restaurant in or a qucik cab ride from Hilton? Oneof the girls is on a bit of a budget so it can't be too expensive. We are open for a variety of food. We will be doing sushi on Friday so that is out. We are from Texas so Mexican food isn't really want we are looking for either.

Also, how is the gambling at the Hilton? Should we stay and gamble there while she is in the concert or head out?

As any one been to the Icehouse?

For people on a budget, I suggest Beni Hana's. If your not on a budget, the Steakhouse is fantastic.

Gambling at the Hilton is very cordial and friendly.

Hilton is fun - though a bit off the Strip.

Benehana's is good (I've eaten there), kind of a "show"
w/ dinner...

There's a fun lounge w/ entertainment - they many times
give out 2-1 drink coupons when leaving the main room shows
good for the lounge...

The buffet is fair, unless they have recently upgraded it -

Gambling is pretty laid back; a good self-contained property
overall.

If you want to venture out, close by is the Hard Rock Hotel
(several good restaurants - Mr. Lucky's has a $7.77 steak & shrimp, w/
starch & salad - NOT on the menu, you have to ask for it, i.e. " may I have the steak and shrip special please?...")
or (non resort, just a restaurant) Gordon Beirsch - a brewpub
w/ good reasonably priced food.

Have fun!
