Hello everyone, I was woundering if anyone has had unusual problems at the casino with the personal. We had a few problems with the casino a while back we didn't stay there but did a little gambling and had a few hassels with the floor people and the slots.I geuss we were profiled a few years ago because of dispute with the people in charge of one of shows. I think once you give them some grief they got you pegged to hassle you if they see your face again gambling or not.. Thanks

I gamble periodically at NYNY and have always found it a friendly place to spend a few hours. I stayed once at the hotel. I observed a friendly and professional staff.

I wonder how the gambling boss would know you were the same person who had a incident with a show person a few years ago?

Had my first trip to LV in August and stayed four nights at NYNY. Only problem I had was a bit of a mix up with the room reservation, but everyone was super about fixing it. I'd gladly stay and play there again.

I have also stayed and played @ NY NY from time to time. Have found personnel to be generally pleasant and helpful.
The Rita Rudner show there is VERY FUNNY! :) ;)

I don't have one of those common faces that can get mixed up with someone that has been profiled and put in the "Black Book"...My facial features just don't come up with hits if they run me through that fancy facial recognition computer...sort of a shame that more people don't look like me, because I'm a handsome devil!
(If you like overweight, white-haired, middle-aged rednecks, that is!)
But, that's just me....

We've always found the staff at NYNY really professional. However the drinks take forever. And I ordered 2 one for me and one for my husband, I literally had to show her that he was gambling.

Never really ever had a problem at NYNY..in fact, had a fantastic floor supervisor who helped me and a buddy out when we were there in Oct '04 and then came back in '05 and had to get a supervisor for a hand pay jackpot. and guess what? it was the same lady !. she even remembered us and I mentioned that when we were there that she brought us some candy(it was near Halloween) while we waited for a tech to fix my buddys machine, so when she came back with the handpay, she brought her entire sack of candy bars to share with us!...It was great! so no problems on the slot floor of NYNY.

I had the same thing happen to my buddy there. The waitress came up asking for orders, took mine, but declined his since he wasn't playing. He was actually in between plays, since the machine had just gobbled a $20 in
about 2 minutes. After that, he got mad and we left.

I play NYNY occasionally and play mostly quarter machines and sometimes nickels. Never had any problems with any of the employees. My biggest gripe with them is that some of the patrons are rude. When sitting at an aisle machine, I am always getting bumped by people walking by. And late at night it is so loud in there. There are so many younger people who are drunk and just stumbling around.:p

I stayed at NYNY once a couple of years ago, it was okay, but I must say I didn't feel like it was a very friendly casino and I wasn't too lucky there but I did put a lot of money in their machines in the 5 days I stayed and I have never gotten any kind of offer from them at all. Oh well, I don't want to stay there anyway. So there. Hee Hee!

Did you come out ahead? I have played there several times and always come out ahead or even. I have never received any offers from them. Am wondering if it's because I haven't lost enough to suit them.
Sames goes for MGM-Grand. I don't feel good about going into any of the MGM-Mirage casinos for that reason.

I didn't win anything to speak of but over the 5 days they got a good chunk of my money. Guess it wasn't enough either.

Just came back from NYNY, Oct. 24-28. Had two nights comped and 2 nights at 59.00. I had originally booked through a casino host for 99.00 per night and then received email at 59.00 through their players card. I am not a big gambler betting approximately 200-300 per day and we only go once a year in October. Everyone was extremely freindly and helpful.:)

I two have had a bad experience at the NYNY it was the first and only place I have ever stayed and left two days earlier and stayed somewhere else because the service was so bad:mad:  they screwed up our room reservation I could go on and on. We do love the Rollercoaster and always return just for that.

We stayed there for 3 or 4 nights once and it was fine.
I signed up for the MGM players card and I registered at the web site to get email offers. As a result, I get notified of low room rates from time to time.
