OK guys, who is your pick for the best all around magician / magic show in Vegas. I’ve only seen Lance Burton and thought he was amazing. We will be back in Vegas in January and I wanted to take friends to see Lance unless there is a better choice. Please help! Thanks.

Lance is a good choice but if you're looking to see a different show, I really enjoyed The World's Greatest Magic Show at the dingy Greek Isles. There are at least 5 different magicians that do about 15 minutes each.

Here is a review I wrote about the show:

The World's Greatest Magic Show at the Greek Isles.

Wow, what a great time I had at this show. It has a great concept: Put 6 of the world's best magicians in one show and have them perform their best illusions. Great concept = great show.

The host for this particular evening was Kozak who looks more like an extra in a barfight scene from a western movie than a magician, but he does some funny jokes and some amazing illusions.

Kozak returns periodically to infuse his comedy and magic between the sets and is a great crowd pleaser.

Also appearing that night was Joesph Gabriel who does some amazing illusions with birds that has to be seen to be believed. I saw it and still don't believe it.

The Majestix, Michael Giles and Stacy Jones are a great team of illusionists that did some awesome diappearing/reappearing illusions that thrilled the audience.

Kevin James, a slight of hand illusionist kept the crowd on the edge of their seats with all his tricks. He is also a great storyteller which is the starting point of most of his illusions including the mind-boggling Paper Rose illusion.

This is also a family show and kids made a large portion of the audience and I have to say they were all well behaved. They are also an intricate part of some of the acts.

I had a great time of this show and I highly recommend it to my readers.

On May 20, 2005, The World's Greatest Magic Show
received the following awards:

Magic Show of The Year 2005
Kevin James for Most Original Magician 2005
Kozak for Entertainer of The Year 2005
The Majestix for Illusionists of The Year 2005
Joseph Gabriel for Best Manipulations by a Magician 2005

I agree with Steve...that is a great show and Kevin James is awesome. My husband and I are in Vegas twice a year and usually are not real fans of magic but on a trip about 2 and a half years ago we brought a friend along and when we asked him what kind of a show he would like to see, he said magic. So, we went to see this show and I actually ended up being the "volunteer" that joins Kevin onstage for the Paper Rose illusion. I know how he does the first part of that trick but I won't tell. The second part with the rose, well, that just blew me away because I never saw it coming and I was standing right beside the man - and got to take the rose home!

Great show...I highly recommend it.

WELL YOU SOLD ME! I'd like to see it too. The concept sounds great and
compared to Lance (who's still my favorite for a BIG ROOM magic show)
the smaller Greek Isles Showroom is the perfect place for 'in your face'
close up gags!
My only concern would be if it's still there the first of the year. That's the
time when Shows get changed/move around.
Call and confirm the Shows still on for 2006 1.702.737.5540

We have seen Lance Burton and saw The World's Greatest Magic Show when it was at the Sahara. They are both great shows and I don't believe you would be disappointed in either one.

Just saw Lance Burton and he was amazing. All we kept saying was "How did he do that?". This was my first trip to Vegas and I decided that the next time I want to do a totally magic trip and see as many magic shows (days and nights) that I can. I will definitely get to the Greek Isles!
