I am going to vegas in less than 2 weeks! :)

I am thinking about seeing Gladys Knight. Does anyone know if you can get the same dat 1/2 off tickets from one of those booths for her? (Tickets4tonight etc.)

For those who have seen her, how is the show?

Went to see the show about a year ago. Hubby, myself & another couple were disappointed in the show. The showroom had very cramped seating. Seemed like most of her show was more about her brother (one of the "Pipps") than herself. Hate to admit it, but hubby fell asleep  Thought it was too pricey for the entertainment.

If you do go, please leave a report. Would be interested in your opinion of it.

Eileen and I really enjoyed the show.

As for 1/2 price tickets, I have never seen them listed at the ticket outlets but that doesn't mean they don't have them. You can always call and ask or just stop by.

My friends and I went to see Gladys in August. I thought it was a great show. Very high energy and she looks and sounds fabulous.

There were three of us and we were in one of the banquettes close to the front. We shared with a lady from Dallas (I think) who was there for a wedding. She got same day tix at the last minute, but I don't know if they were 1/2 price.

Hi

We went to see her show in May 2004. I think it is hit or miss if her tickets are available at Tickets2Nite or those similar vendors. As far as the show went, she looked and sounded great for her age and she had a lot of energy throughout the show. But as mentioned below, the show was extremely short especially for the price of the ticket. We had the exact same opinion, far too much of the show was featuring her brother and it was funny at first but became old very quickly. The Flamingo is the Flamingo and the ballroom is of the same quality as the hotel - nothing fancy. We really enjoyed the comedy act that appears there as we saw him in April 2005. If you can obtain the tickets at half price (or reduced), I would certainly go see her as she still is a solid performer - just don't plan on being there long. Should not be giving you any tips after your White Sox eliminated my beloved Red Sox (lol).

I was told in May that they never have tickets for GK at the Coke 1/2 price place.

In stead we went to the Coasters, platters, drifters at the Sahara - WONDERFUL. Fun, small theatre, but good. Tip the dude for a good seat - we only did $10.

Got coupons for their buffet ahead of time.

I would definately also do the lounge act (free) at the Boardwalk. They do alot of Motown stuff. Just sit at the bar, not in the lounge and there is no drink uplift price. BUT DO NOT BUY the CDs - they are awful and off key.

We went to see Gladys in February and loved the show. Gladys covered the entire span of her career and the brother provided a welcome comedy relief. We used the Tix4Tonight at the Fashion Show Mall and received floor seating.
