Okay all 2nd part of my Birthday - yes this year I decided to do up my Birthday in grand style first RIO and than just got back from Laughlin - do love my Laughlin but man it gets harder and harder to return - yes the slots were ridiculous and the temp was the same as was when I was in Vegas (85-90 degrees) but man Laughlin must have a humidity problem! - it really felt like it. The air was very heavy and it zaps your energy real quick. I didn't even have to do anything and I was so tired unreal. :eek:
Harrah's had very nice package for me 2 free nights, dinner at Baja Blue, which under normal circumstances I would not have gone - it is Mexican food which is way down on the food chain with me but since it was Comp - why not. It was okay. Very unusual - the dessert was the best - naturally.
As for slots - yuk, yuk, yuik!!! :( believe it or not I hit on penny machines ONLY over $100+ each time. Lil Lucky Deviled Egg and something in Hell great machines and believe it or not on a Spin Poker machine hit $150 now you ask me what about quarter and dollar well let me tell ya it was called "SUCKER" I taka your money -- every one I played and what even made it worse you didn't even get play time - bad really bad!! :mad:
It was the same in Vegas too at both RIO and Harrah's - so I sure hope Harrah's gets there act together soon! Love to know what is going on with the machines even Video Poker wasn't good!!
Went to Edgewater same problem - same situation!! It is so bad.
Now, I even got up at 2:00 am and went to play dollar machine in High Limit at Harrah's - I was afraid to try $5 machines as bad as the $1 machine. You think they hit - "hell no" just unreal and I even tried my penny machines - well they said I gave you money earlier I taka your money!! now Stop Laughing all of you but really I had a great time in spite of all the crazyness.
I only came back with small amount of monies nothing like what I am use to that is for sure. I probably for a while will just do my thing at "MY HARRAH'S" (in SD) including use my free rooms. It is just not worth traveling if the slots are going to be that tight. Vegas I don't mind especially now that I know the situation but Laughlin wait until next year.
I will not do the same thing next year with my Birthday I did this time. I will only go to RIO if I get invited again and I probably will. The Birthday Bash was incredible!!!
Now you ask where to next. Well I am slowly working on a trip to Reno for Xmas. This will depend solely on the Airfare. So hope you all enjoy my trip report - 2nd have!!! :cool:
