There was mention of a couple of tattoo parlours in this week's Newsletter.

Has anyone had a tattoo done in Vegas? In particular, at Corey Hart's place in the Palms? I have two discreet tattoos and would like another small one as a reminder of Vegas. I was thinking of a small dice on my hip but I would really like to get this done in the Palms so that it REALLY WILL remind me of Vegas. Has anyone any thoughts on the Palms (or a suggestion other than dice?).

Why not take a ashtray home with you. Sherry

i think you have a few choices..

not in any particular order..

1. a chip from your favorite casino (old or new)
2. the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign
3. any of your favorite neons from days gone by
4. a bingo card (thats your game isnt it?)
5. a picture of Steve...(just kidding)

A slotmachine's a great idea 7777, I don't know if I could stand that long without fainting though, there's a lot of detail and colour in there :D

I would take an ashtray Sherry but I would break it or lose it (and I don't smoke lol) either way it wouldn't be with me forever like a little discreet tattoo. Once you have one you're addicted!

Those are really good ideas Scott, thanks! Well.... except the one of Steve of course because that might upset Eileen lol. I would love the Welcome to Las Vegas sign actually. I just wonder how small they could make it?

I would love to go to Corey Hart's place in the Palms but I don't like going to one without having it recommended. I don't suppose any of you have been there have you?

I have stood outside of Vince Neil's tatoo parlor for hours deceiding whether to get a vegas type tatoo.

Last trip I even went in and talked about it but when she said there was pain no matter how small the tatoo was, I left.

I have a fear of needles but I would have overcame that fear if the PAIN word was not said.

I remember going to the doctors for a follow-up vist and the doctor said I was due to get a flu shot and he would send the nurse in to administer it. I was long gone by the time she got in. :D

LOL aw Steve... it's just a little nip! :D

Tattoos don't hurt depending on where you get them, that's a promise! I have a small one on my ankle and it didn't hurt a jot. I honestly didn't feel a thing and it has colour in it so it took quite a while. I have two stars on the top of my foot and let me tell you, they were agony! It was because it was on bone though.

If you get it in a place where there is flesh, you wouldn't feel a thing. You wouldn't know it was being done with a needle. Try getting a ballpoint pen, click it to off and scratch it down your arm - that's exactly what I felt on my leg. Go on Steve..... you can do it!! :D

keep in mind you are paying 3-5x what you would pay anywhere else but it's vegas so... get some ideas local and bring them with you. i had a local cartoonist design mine then brought it to the parlor. not in vegas though. dont just pick someting out of the book. pick something no one else has. maybe blackjack table layed out over the scottish flag(the one with the lion) instead of green felt?

That's a great idea 8888! The Lion Rampant (as opposed to the flag of St Andrews or the Union Jack, we have 3 flags in Scotland but you obviously knew that!:D) over a blackjack table would be different! I don't know how small they could make it though. Hmm that's one to think about!

I too have been to Vince's shop numerous times over our past 2 visits. I am going on the Motley Cruise with Vince Neil in January and want to get a tatoo at his place. I finally have decided what to get (purple flower design) and I plan to get it while I am there over Thanksgiving. I'll be sure to let you know how painful it is at the members get together! :) I hate needles or anything medical and usally faint at the sight of them, so I am getting the tatoo on my back/shoulder blade so I won't see what is going on!

If I was to get another one, I'd do it at the PALMS.
Thinking up something origional is the way to go too...
If you can't draw it up yourself...you must have a friend whos good
at things like that, YES? Take it in next June and they'll re draw it/fix it
up if it needs it...THEN you can decide if you want it done or not, but YES...
...(price aside) I'd have it done at PALMS.
I'd also ask to see the work of the various Artists they have working there.
Like anything else, some styles you might like better than others...thats the
person you want to do yours...
I kinda like the dice idea. Red dice (to match your hair) with your natural skin as the dots might work...couldn't be real small though or the red might bleed into the
white dots.
Now............where to put it???
Somewhere where the sun don't shine and the Red won't fade...

LOL.. despite meeting me a few times you are still calling me a red-head... I'm BLONDE I tell ya! :D

I think I will get the dice, it was red I was thinking of. I was also sort of thinking of a place where the sun don't shine anyway, my hip! lol.... so Greg.. what tattoo do you have?

Mines on my hip too. Back at the end of the PEACE,LOVE San Francisco
Flower Power days...Lyle Tuttle was THE guy to get one from. My girl friend and her girl friend each had one...butterflies on the top of their foot.
I got a butterfly with a crescent flower under it...3 colors.
IT STUNG LIKE A CONTINUIOUS WASP STING!
Go for it Jacqui!...next time you see Matt you can say, "wanna see my new tattoo"
Oooooooooooooooo

LOL sounds good Greg! Matt has a "Fraternity" tatoo, maybe we could compare :D Your tatoo sounds excellent, the stinging doesn't sound too good though. Ach it's over in 10 minutes anyway and the pain's gone. I should just go for it!

So does anyone else want to share their tatoos? :D
