If you knew ahead of time that this was possitively your last trip to Las Vegas, what are the top ten things you would have to do?
Steve I do believe this might be my last trip - just getting tired of the cost increasing - yeah I get R & F but it seems as I get into my 70's everything is geared to kids - 20's & up and I'm a 280 LB Jerk in that I'm tired of all the rude people & drunks and young punks all over who don't know how to act - and it brings out the worst in me!
So 1 - we have some great shows lind up already!
2 - we have some great dinners lined up - in ceasers & elswhere
3 - we are going to rent a convertable and ride the strip at night like we
use to
4 - Dont't like the big high roller for show casinos but were going to look
at a few!
5 - Have a drink an sit & people watch
6 - forget the $50 & 100 bets find a smal limit table and make some new
friends!
7 - Maybe go downtown - one last time - not exicting as it once was -
8 - Maybe rent a electric wheel chair and wheel the strip while my lady
walks!
9 - Tell all the jerks that meet in the isles to get the hell out of the way!
10 - I will no doubt go out into the desert to see the stars - quite real
Navada one last tim! Notthing like Gods beauty!!
And of course say good bye to all the money I have left there over
the years!

I would watch the Bellagio water show (at night), go to Laughlin and walk along the Riverwalk (behind the casino along the Colordao River), have a nice steak & shrimp @ Mr Lucky's, stay in a Penthouse @ the IP and lastly, watch the sunrise or sunset at the Grand Canyon while surrounded by all of my family. I LOVE THIS SITE. My sister says I only speak 2 languages; English & Vegas (and I am proud of it).

MOVE TO VEGAS, THAT IS!
But, if I hadn't, I'd:
10. go downtown first and check out some of the less expensive shows (the caveman, Larry G Jones, Justin Tranz Hip-nosis), depending which ones are still playing.
9. Check out all the free "shows" on the strip: fountains at Bellagio, Volcano at Mirage, Human statues, TI pirate show
8. Eat my way from one end of the strip to the other, at all my favorite restaurants.
7. Go horse back riding at Red Rock canyon.
6. See "O" one last time.
5. Have dinner at Picasso, since it's been described as the best restaurant in the world.
4. See Earl Turner if he's here, or drive to Laughlin if he's there---since he's one of the best entertainers, as far as total show, that I've seen in Vegas.
3. Read Steve's awesome newsletter, to make sure I haven't missed anything new and exciting during my trip.
2. Do the convertible thing on the strip at night! After 2 a.m. or course. Before then, you're goin' no where fast!!!!
1. Spa day at Mandalay Bay, complete with massage, hot and could tub bathing, steam room, fresh fruit and nut snack in the lounging area, then out to the wave pool. No better way to experience a total rebirth and revitalization before heading back to the world of reality.
If you knew ahead of time that this was possitively your last trip to Las Vegas, what are the top ten things you would have to do?

My darling wife is helping me with this one!
10 things That we would do if it was our last trip to VEGAS
Stay in a suite at either Caesars or the Venetian
Forgo our usual 5 and 25 cent machines and play $1 or $5 machines
Take a couple of rides on the Venetian Gondolas
See either Elton John, O, Blue Man Group, or see Mystere again. (Heck, maybe we'd do all four!)
Sit at the Mon Ami patio and watch the Bellagio fountains.
Visit the Chapel of the Fountains inside CC where we got married 24 years ago.
Go Downtown and hope to visit the "old" Vegas.
Play a round of golf at Wynn Golf Course
Buy my wife a full service massage at the Hotel Spa.
Take a limo ride down the Strip and Downtown with the Sun Roof open a la Chevy Chase in Vegas Vacation

1) Actually use the pool in whichever hotel I'm staying in ( so far it was always been too cold, too hot or the pool is under renovation).
2) Upgrade to a "P" suite at Paris Hotel like we did on our most recent visit to Vegas - view is over the pool, through the Eiffel Tower and dead center on the Bellagio fountains!!! We could have stayed in the room and what with the view, the in-room Jaccuzi and the flat screen TVs we could have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves without stepping out of the room (but of course we did!)
3) See Cirque du Soleil LOVE ( sold out last time we went).
4) Catch a Neil Diamond concert (no not an imitator, the real thing).
5) Catch the shuttle to the Rio buffet (our favourite by a long shot!!). Actually we can afford to take a taxi or even a limo but the shuttle has a great party atmosphere that I would really miss!
6) Play Rapid Roulette sitting side by side with my husband - he bets on black, I bet on 13 and we both win!
7) Track down some of my favourite slot machines I haven't been able to find on the strip the last few years - Adams Family (the large version with the lighted action-filled backdrop) and Sinatra!
8) At Quork's Bar, dare to drink a complete Warp Core Breach all by myself! (Anyone volunteer to help carry me back to our hotel?)
9) Catch a great comedian (Bob Newhart, Jay Leno or Howie Mandel).
10) See the Jubilee show at Ballys, and this time jump up onto the stage and join the dancers ( a 'la Cyd Charisse in "Meet Me in Last Vegas"!!)

We'll be flying to Vegas for our honeymoon on December 4th and if we start a family, this could be the last trip - or the last for a long time... :(
So, I can apply my thinking to this one pretty clearly.
1. Go on the Speed ride at the Sahara
2. Do a helicopter ride all over the city
3. Play my favourite slots as hard as I've always wanted to (that's hard)
4. Play an all-night roulette session
5. Have a night playing all the casinos downtown with lots of margaritas for company
6. Play swim-up blackjack and spend a day in the Tropicana pools
7. Valet park *everywhere*
8. Dress in decent clothes for once, maybe even wear a suit
9. See *all* the Cirque du Soleil shows
10. Sing karaoke at the Ramada/Tropicana Express in Laughlin
Come to think of it, with the exception of the Tropicana pools, that could be my honeymoon right there!
I'm loving this topic.

If this were our last trip we would line up tickets for several shows that we haven't seen yet and book Danny Gans, The Phantom, and Mamma Mia all one more time. Then we would make dinner reservations for some of the places we've been wanting to try but haven't yet (the Eiffel Tower comes to mind). Lastly we would do some more strip helicoptor rides (both day and night) and also do a helicoptor Grand Canyon trip. As far as gambling we can do that on the many boats and land casinos near our home. I'm sure there would be some tears shed as our plane left McCarran for the last time.:(

This is my suggestion to all of you...as I'm going to do it as well:
Print out your list and on your next visit to Vegas, do as many of the things on your list as you can afford in money and time!
I'm here to tell you based on the events in my life the past few months. Life is short and you never know when that last day at home or in Vegas will be. My friends, live your next visit to the fullest!

4. Play golf at Shadow Creek, Cascata, and Bear's Best...slowly and carefully.
5. See "Love", definitely once, maybe twice.
6. Visit the top of the Stratosphere and try to talk myself into riding all the crazy rides up top (but probably settle for their best filet mignon dinner).
7. Hike & ride Red Rock Canyon.
8. Stop by Tangerine, Pure, and the Playboy Club (haven't been to one of those since they were last open decades ago, in LA-Century City!)
9. Bet $300 on black at Roulette; if I win, play 5 hands of (mini-) Baccarat.

This is a good one...
1. Well, I've stayed at Bellagio many times, so I'd probably try a suite at Wynn.
2. Besides eating at my favorite restaurants, I'd eat at other fine dining restaurants that I haven't been to yet (Eiffel Rest., Aureole, etc.).
3. Finally go to a club that the beautiful 20's crowd goes to, and dance til I can't walk anymore.
4. Play Baccarat and craps.
5. Have my own limo & driver the whole time I'm there.
6. Go horseback riding at sunrise/sunset in the desert.
7. Do the indoor sky diving experience.
8. I usually play $1 and $5 slots, but never pennies or nickles, so I'd probably spend a day playing them for fun while the waitress brings me drinks every 1/2 hour.
9. See Bette Midler, Barry Manilow, & Neil Diamond (if he's there).
10.Sit in front of Bellagio Fountains all night, with a very large daiquari and a smile.:)

3. Visit the homes and warehouses of my favorite magicians Lance Burton,
David Copperfield, Rick Thomas and Sigfreid & Roy's.

7. Perform one more time in one of the larger showrooms.

Freemont St. Experience.
9. Eat at only 4 and 5 star restaurants.
10. Shop with limitless Credit cards at Caesars Forum Shops and The Venetian's Shops.
Upon leaving Las Vegas I'd have to stop in Pioche for one more fishing trip with Dad.

Sadly, June 2007 was our last of 13 trips. We spent time in 20 of our most favorite hotels. Walked the $trip many times and went downtown. Enjoyed 4th row seats to Barry Manilow, well worth every dollar that cost! Yes, knowing it was our last trip was very very hard. My dream would be to do Vegas upscale, ahhhh the good life. But the memories we have are priceless. VIVA LAS VEGAS

Why are you saying this is your last trip? I hope it's not for medical reasons.:(

It's sad just thinking about it.
10. Staying one week at Red Rock; one week at Green Valley Ranch and one
week at Mandalay Bay.
9. Take a gondola ride at the Venetian.
8. Partake in the Masquerade In The Sky at the Rio.
7. Have an all-day appointment at a spa. Getting everything done from my
hair to my toenails.
6. Have dinner at The Top Of The World in the Stratosphere.
5. Have dinner at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
4. See at least one big production show. Not sure which one at this time.
3. Stay up all night playing my favorite games.
2. Watch sunrise/sunset in the desert.
1. Play the $100 games in the "High Limit Slots".
