My husband and I are coming to LV week of Nov. 13th. It is our wedding anniversary and I booked reservations at my favorite restaurants, but I wanted to try Michael's at Barbary Coast for an intimate romantic type dinner. Is this rest. worth the try? I've been to quite a few nice/romantic type rest. over the years...Picasso, Stratosphere, Circo, LeCirque, Delmonico's etc,.. but heard Michael's was like a blast from the past. Kinda leftover from rat pack days, very romantic. Anybody agree with that? Would love some feedback on this, and any other rest. that are romantic too!
Thanks

:) My wife and I went to Michaels last year and it was great. We went for our anniversary and my wife was a bit hesitant because she usually likes to go to the larger hotel / casino restaurants. We had gone to Hugo's a year earlier and enjoyed that experience so we tried Michaels. They have two seating times and the food is not only excellent it is abundant as well. This is an old style Vegas restaurant where the staff is decked out in tuxes and the room is very quiet and upscale. It was an excellent experience, somewhat expensive but worth it. Hope you enjoy it as well.

:) My husband and I have been to Michael's twice. Either time was not a disapointment. It is very upscale, and you have a least two waiters waiting on you. It is expensive (the woman's menu has no prices on it), but there are lots of ammenities. Sorbet in champagne, chocolate covered fruit, a relish tray, which you don't see in restaurants anymore, and a fruit tower. You will not be disappointed.
Others we have tried are the Top Of The World at the Stratosphere, Nero's in Caesars Palace, Voodoo Cafe at the Rio, The Steak House at Circus Circus, Golden Steer, Rosewood Grill, Sonoma Cellar at Sunset Station.
Let us know which you choose.

We enjoyed Michael's a couple times. It is excellent. It is a small, intimate room. The food is excellent and plentiful, the service is outstanding and the ambiance is very romantic. You will enjoy it. It's expensive, but you won't feel over charged.

Loved Michael's when I dined there in July.
I did a full review on my podcast a few weeks ago:
