Hi all,
I am planning a February trip and am looking for some opinions. We usually stay with MGM though with it being a holiday weekend there at not too many good deals to be had.
Since there are no comps we figuered we may not have this chance again as we usually get good offers. So we are staying where we have always wanted to. We are palnning on Paris in a Premier room.
Does anyone have any pictures of these rooms or can give their opinions? Also, any suggestions on what to ask for..floor number, room, view.
Thanks in advance,

I can't comment on Paris, but I noticed you are also planning to stay at Red Rock. We spent 1 night on our last trip at Red Rock. It was absolutely wonderful. The room was beautiful, as was the entire property. Don't miss the Salt Lick BBQ!
Enjoy.

Eileen and I stayed at a "P" suite at Paris a few times. If it's still the same type of room, then you will enjoy your stay.
The thing that makes this room unique is it has two windows, one facing North and the other facing South.

I am not familiar with a Premier room. The premium room is the same as a luxury room with a view of the strip. The Petite Suite or "P" room is a little bigger than the regular rooms. That may be what you are referring to.
The pictures on the Harrahs website give you a pretty good idea of what the rooms look like unless you can score one on the upper floors(25 and above). They have been renovated and are very nice. All done in velvet and they have plasma TV's and pillow top beds.
The P rooms are a little larger than average. They are at the end of the hall and tucked back from the hallway - kind of private. They have a large closet and a nice dressing area. There are 2 windows that give you a nice view from two angles.
The standard rooms are about 450 sq. ft. and have the closet incorporated into the entertainment center.
All of the baths at Paris are marble and have a separate tub/shower. There is a magnifying make-up/shaving mirror in the bath. They have great smelling soap.
Most all of the rooms have coffee pots. If you don't get one, call housekeeping.
Another thing about Paris that we like is that the elevator service is very fast.
We stay at Paris at lot and really like it.

Thanks to all who replied.
lindainwi we are staying 2 nights at Red Rock. We have never been there and are very excited. We love BBQ so thanks for the suggestion. I am glad to hear another opinion on it.
Steve as always thanks for the info.
sonntex that was a lot of great information. I appreciate it.
I am not familiar with Paris at all and the information on the name of the room is from the website. There is the basic room and this is the next level up. I am sure we will love it no matter what. We love the Paris and never miss a visit on every trip.

We recently stayed in a P room in August. It was on the 28th floor and was recently renovated. Sort of looked like Moulin Rouge meets The Vatican. Lots of red, leather, and velvet.
Things we enjoyed about the P room. It's in a corner with it's own sort of private hallway. You get two windows to view different directions, there is a separate shower and tub, there are nice furnishings in the room, the flat screen plasma tv is huge, and the bathroom has high end soap and shampoo. The best thing of all, there is an alarm clock with an ipod dock. Then you can play any tune you want while getting ready to go out.
The down side to the "P" room. It's at the total opposite end from from the elevators. When intoxicated it's quite hard to walk down the long hall and try to figure out where the room is. Also, when coming out of the elevator I think there's 4 hallways all going in a different direction from the central circle. Also a problem when intoxicated seeing as how you have to walk all the way to the end of the corridor before you realize you aren't actually at your room.
I would say do the P room, but don't expect a suite or anything, just a nice room with a better view. Also, beware, you could end up looking at the Planet Hollywood exhaust system and a smoggy view of the moutains with no view of the strip. The P room across from us had that view.

The next level up is a standard room with a view. Ask for a view of the pool and you will get the best view of the fountains. Try to get floor 14 or above. If you can get floor 25 or above you will probably get one of the renovated rooms. Some of them are done in green or blue and are really beautiful. I think the 1-bed rooms are green and the 2-beds are blue. The red rooms are a little garish. I had a green renovated room once and it was absolutely luscious.
But the un-renovated rooms are nice, too. Just a little worn.
