It's no big deal to me one way or the other. Saw La Femme a few years ago at the MGM and while it was very tastefully done I personally found it boring:confused: . The topless showgirls in the big reviews like Jubilee and Folies to me are a part of the magic of Las Vegas so I think they should always be a part of the entertainment venue. As far as shows like "Crazy Girls" and the like, they don't interest me at all.
I would consider using one of the "European" pools but I'm afraid I might be arrested for "eye pollution"!:o ;)

I think the nudity is what makes Vegas interesting and different. It's part of the entertainment in Vegas in which one can choose to participate or not. I believe it has a place there and my husband and I look forward to that aspect with each visit. It's something we aren't able to take advantage of in our home setting.
As far as the European pools, I can understand the appeal but at this point I would not participate. Can't answer for my husband, but he'd probably like it!

Sorry to have to ask, but what are European style pools, and where are they? Which hotels. etc.

How do you feel about nudity in Las Vegas? I feel that Las Vegas is for adults, so nudity should be a non-issue
Does it still have a place in Vegas shows? With the numerous strip clubs, I'm not sure whether there's any appeal to nudity in the shows. I'm not talking about talent, just availability.
How do you feel about the European styles of pools + would you consider going to that type of pool and participating? If there's a pool, I'll go, especially if it has a slide like at the Golden Nugget. But I'm a guy, so what's the difference to me? The bad thing is that we have to ask this question. I heard in New York there's a law that allows women to go topless (not sure whether that's in the city or state) as long as it's not for the purpose of conducting business (whatever that means).

I saw the revue at Stardust many years ago. Some of the female performers were topless. It didn't offend me. It was rather innocuous. They just paraded around with their big headdresses on. There were no real sexual overtones or innuendo. It was part of the Vegas experience. I think the mindset there lends itself to nudity in their productions.
The European style pools are probably pretty popular. I haven't gone out of my way to see any of them. If this were 30 years ago, would I have gone? I was raised with a certain amount of modesty. I doubt I would have. Now, I have less modesty but I can't go. I'd be afraid of being harpooned.

Well my goodness the way women dress now days on TV and on the streets they might just as well be topless. With the necklines down to their belly button doesn't leave much to the imagination. As far as the Vegas nudity shows go, if you enjoy seeing this, go for it. Sherry

Hmmm, Vegas is an adult playground, but there are many family shows as well (Lance Burton, Blue men, etc...). I have bben To La Femme (sp?) and Zummanity and they were both ok. As far as the European pools why is it most people there topless, u wish would put their tops back on?

Ok, have been to Jubilee! and it was a good show, nice throwback to old days and low tech shows. Yes the ladies were stunning. I will leave it at that, and it wasnt at all out of line. I would like MUCH more nudity if it would send the kids back home where they belong. There are way too many strollers out after 11pm, and thats just wrong. i think the "family" experiment is ending, but i fear that the new trend will also wear thin: ULTRA LOUNGE/UPSCALE HOTELS. with the "theme" era ending, the new theme is alarming in a diffrent way.

If by nudity we mean casino shows, it would not be Vegas without them. I agree with other members that the shows are no big deal. My strip club days have come and gone. When I realized how messed up so many of the girls were, it doesn't seem right.
The European pools we have been to are also “adult” pools. At least there were no children there when we have been there. I love kids, but when on vacation without my own kids, I prefer not to be around other peoples kids, so we really enjoy the “European pools”.

To quote another member, I would also be "harpooned" right now. Once I get back in shape, get breast implants, turn the clock back about 20 years, I'll try it. I'd probably go just to see what types of men are there gawking at the topless women.
I've seen both Follies and Jubilee, and they were both tastefully done. The smaller nude production shows don't interest me. After I heard what Zumanity was about, the content turned my stomach, so that one's definitely out.
Now, as far as the new brothel ads on the mobile ad vehicles--I'm still not sure about them. Although they look tasteful, so far, I can just hear a kid saying "Daddy, what's a brothel?" EEKS! I feel if someone wants that kind of "entertainment," and they've never heard of Pahrump, they just need to do their research on their own.

Personally I think there are too many strip joints in Vegas and alot of them arent very good. I think the topless pool is overrated and I do think nudity has a place in the hotel shows.
I always wonder if someone like Playboy would do a topless casino I think if it were run right they could get away with it.

I think Americans are way too uptight about nudity and make it into a big issue. People always have a choice whether or not to attend a show with nudity. The same goes for the European-style pools. Right now, there are a variety of choices, and that is a good thing.
Personally, I think all pools and beaches in the US should allow topless sunbathing. It's just more comfortable than stapping on a bathing suit top, and I'm happy to exercise that option when it is allowed. I probably wouldn't go to one of the European-style pools in Las Vegas, but that's because I don't go to any of the pools there anyway. I prefer to spend my time there gambling and stuffing myself with good food. :)

nudity... nothing wrong with them.
pools... you want to, why not.
I personaly am too cheap to pay to get into the topless pools and too old to go in only to die from a twisted neck.

I understand that in Las Vegas entertainers can't be nude, if alcohol is being served.
As far as nude entertainment goes, Vancouver, BC has many nudie bars to satisfy me. That being said, I have yet to go to the Red Rooster,I understand it's a wild place

No way - although I'm in good enough shape to feel proud of the way I look topless, I'll save it for when I'm at home. I've heard the comments guys make about the women who do go topless (and I've seen at least two guys taking pictures with their mobile phones), and wouldn't dream of subjecting myself to them.
I've been to nude and topless beaches in Europe, and it's exactly the same...sniggering men acting like adolescents and making very personal comments about the evenness of total strangers' nipples. No thanks.

I can tell you there's not near enough nudity in Vegas.
The European pools are great, and I think they've done a great job at separating them from the public areas away from kids and people who wouldn't like it, without taking valuable pool space from the masses.

I don't care either way about nudity in Vegas. You want to see a show like that, go ahead. Whatever floats your boat, I always say. I haven't seen a show like this yet, but haven't ruled it out neither....;)
As far as the pools...I wouldn't go naked in public. I'm way too shy for that. I know we Americans are "uptight", but hey...that's how I was brought up and it's just very hard to be naked in front of a bunch of strangers!!! Someone had mentioned in their reply that some men were taking pics of women at the pools and making comments about their boobs, etc. Well this gives me another reason why I wouldn't go topless and/or naked in public. (of course not being a gorgeous 25 year old also helps in the decision....hehe:rolleyes: ) But hey, if you enjoy being nude in public then again....whatever floats your boat.
Vegas has so much to offer. This city can please all walks of life. I love it no matter what.:D

I think the shows like Jubilee really are a part of Vegas history and what Vegas was all about. Enjoy the headdresses almost as much as the boobs, and can't imagine what it takes to do what they do on high heels, like coming down that staircase.
Strip clubs are in every city, just higher priced in Vegas, with perhaps slightly more attractive women. Guess I am just too cheap as I get older, no attraction for me. They have full nude clubs in Denver (18 and up, but no alcohol), with topless clubs (21 and up, with alcohol). Seems a little strange, but that's the way it is.
As for the pools, too bad we make such a big deal of it in America. I don't see why its such an issue. In Europe, I have been to the topless beaches (and park areas). They don't make it an issue, so it seems pretty natural. I will admit to enjoying it, but avoided making a fool of myself. I certainly would not pay to get in one, but having friends in Europe, understand the apparent appeal of topless sunbathing for some of the women. I know my wife would NEVER go topless in America, and probably not in Europe, but it might be a possibility over there.

Topless shows in Vegas are part of Las Vegas and always should be, of course you always have the choice to go see the many others shows that have no nudity if this offends you. The same with the pools, if you like being topless or enjoy and are comfortable around bare bodies then it is great you have the choice. I do not know of any hotels with European style pools that don't have at least 1 other pool that isn't. As for strip joints, I don't know why anyone would travel all the way to Las Vegas to go to one when almost every big city in the country has them.

Yes i do!!! I also think that all cocktail waitress should be topless-Not younger than 21 no older than 35- not to weigh more than 135-cute- I
just got back a week ago and had a male drink server BLAAAAA-what the heck is going on.
I agree with 7777 ... it IS Las Vegas after all.
I saw some posts on another site a couple weeks ago that were all pics of women naked in front of the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. There were dozens of them. Next trip to Vegas I'm just gonna camp out in front of the sign with my camera ... LOL
OH ... and FYI ... the second most favorite place for women to flash
seems to be with the big brass chics at the Riviera

Nudity has always been part of Vegas and always will. It's called "Sin City" for a reason. Personally, I wouldn't be caught dead naked in public. There's a time and place for it, and if women are willing to demean themselves and to do it, and men are willing to pay to gawk...sounds like a match to me. I just wish the people with the huge bellies would keep them covered up. I keep my multitude of sins covered. I wear loose fitting clothes, not something 3 sizes too small. And I will never understand why celebrities who have millions, don't buy decent maternity clothes. I don't want to see their naked "baby bump" anymore than I would want to see some guys naked beer belly. I would, however, like to see the afore mentioned male drink servers. Where are THEY?

I've never seen a topless show, but not because nudity offends me. I just don't like that type of entertainment. I'd see a topless comedy show, or a topless magic show, so if there's one out there, somebody point me to it . . . As for the pools, sure I'd go. I posted a thread on in another category on this site to see if anyone had been and what their thoughts were. If you don't want to be seen, don't step out in public, and if you don't like the view, then look somewheres else. . . .

How do you feel about nudity in Las Vegas? It all depends on where and when: If it is a strip club or a show, yes. If it is out in public: walking up and down the strip, would have to say no on that.
Does it still have a place in Vegas shows? Why not, if some one is offended by nudity, DO NOT GO TO SEE IT!!! (should be common sense, but seems like no one uses that any more)
How do you feel about the European styles of pools + would you consider going to that type of pool and participating? If it was free, I might make a walk through by accident ;) , but if anyone wants to use them, I say what ever floats your boat, it is not any of my business.

I went to Venus, the topless pool at Caesars a few weeks ago. I'm a guy, by myself and there were several things I didn't like:
2 employees stop me at the gate to the area and put a plastic id band around my wrist.
They call on the radio to another employee inside the pool area to come and meet me at the gate.
That employee escorts to me a seat or lounge,by the pool. I asked him if I could sit anywhere and he said "No, we place you."
There was no charge to get in, but I didn't like that type of control.
(Sometimes the employee at the gate said I needed a picture id to get in. It turns out that's only if you're going to charge drinks to your room)
Once in there, I usually saw at least a dozen women, but only 2 at the most had taken their top off. If they're at the far end of the pool from where you're placed, you can't see anything anyway. The best part of the pool was there were no kids running around, so it was a very quiet place.

If you want topless magic, you're a few years too late for "Showgirls of Magic" that used to play in the late great San Remo.
If you want unintentional comedy, see "Crazy Girls".

On first trip to Vegas went to see what Jubilee was all about did not see any problem with topless women in show after you have seen a couple you got used to it. Being in the service in the sixties i saw a whole lot worse in other countries that would put Vegas to shame. As for topless at pools i see no problems with it since it is for adults only so each to there own :D

Going to a topless pool is the only way to go. There are several reasons that I prefer to go topless. Being from South Florida, laying out topless at the beaches in Ft. Lauderdale & Miami Beach is very common. In fact, Haulover Beach in Sunny Isles has a section that is even clothing optional. I like not having strap lines and having an even tan. Sure I'm vain, I admit it. I workout 5-days a week, and yes, I've done the implant thing. When my husband and I go to Vegas, I want to have complete service. That is what you pay for. Drinks are expensive poolside, but they come quick and without attitude. No screaming kids, nobody taking "your spot," just sun and fun. I recommend Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay because they treat everyone first class. Ice towels, ice water, lunch, cool music, and like minded over 21 people make the morning and early afternoon more enjoyable than ever before.
Topless is not for everyone...I understand. But, it's called "Sin City" for a reason, so besides drinking and gambling and so on. Give it a try.

If you think Americans are uptight about it, try being a Brit! Have you heard the phrase "no sex please, we're British"? Although we are European too I don't know of any of these pools (although I'm sure there will be one somewhere) on mainland Britain... but Vegas isn't Britain, it's VEGAS!
Shows like Jubilee are part of the history of Vegas like people have said before me. They are ripping down the hotels and changing most things, please don't take everything away from the past, let's retain a bit of the original Vegas.
As for the pools, I personally wouldn't go to one (I have to run around the shower to get wet so I wouldn't have anything to show anyway) but I have absolutely no objections to others who want to use them. They are out of the way in these hotels and aren't bothering anyone so why not? Like someone said, it's SIN CITY!

I have nnnnnnnnnnnnever really nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoticed nnnnnnnnnnnnudity in Las Vegas. I am there for the entertainment aspect of the show. :D
And to be honest, I don't think nudity enhances the value of the show itself in some cases. (Folies Bergere-Jubilee)
As far as the European pools, I have no problem with the concept or in the perticipation. In fact, I was considering a Pool Party for the next Las Vegas get together !!!!!! ;)
Hmmmm but would that be considered a "nude show?"

If anyone knows anything about the resort my screen name is based on, they would no that we definitely have no problems with nudity in shows or the European pools (don't really do the strip clubs anymore - got bored with them). To be honest, we were disappointed when we discovered that the European adult seemed to mean topless rather than clothing optional.
As one who enjoys C/O beaches/pools, I hate to disappoint folks, but the people you see at these places, are the same folks you see in the grocery stores - all sizes and shapes included. In fact, if anything the younger hard bodies are probably under-represented. IMHO, many of us weren't comfortable enough with ourselves when we were younger and it was only as we aged we become comfortable enough to consider it even if some of us have let ourselves graze a little too much on the Vegas buffets.

Nudity is not offensive and the way that it appears in the Vegas shows just adds a bit of flavor to the mix if done in good taste. Nudity will always have a place in Vegas.
I have not been to a European pool but then that's my choice. If it is adults only then I figure adults are able to make their own life choice and if that is what they choose then it's okay by me.

Nudity in Vegas is fine as long as it is done in a tasteful manner. Vegas shows like Jubilee and Follies Bergere are class act shows, so in that case it is fine. When nudity is pushed to the limits and beyond the borderline then that's where it ends. There's a difference between being a well respected individual vs. being a moron. As far as Vegas and nudity, overall I think it has its act under control when it comes to that. The only thing people ever complain about nudity-wise in Vegas are the porn slapper ads. Nudity in Vegas as far as shows has a history in Las Vegas. Burlesque shows use to be big and you had entertainers like Tempest Storm, Candy Barr, and Lili St. Cyr and many more strutting their assets on stage. Nudity in shows is far from anything new in Las Vegas.
The most vulgar thing that has ever reached Las Vegas was probably the past VMA MTV Awards. Talk about ZERO class. Everyone's demeanor from the hosts to the people attending came off to me as 'hey look, I'm a moron'. European pools and even the best strip clubs in town appear very tame if your comparing it to the LV MTV VMA's.

While in LV last week one night (i think it was wed sept 26) while walking back to the Excalibur from NYNY on the bridge that connect both casions my wife and i saw 2 couples...the men were walking ahead of their girlfriends who had stop and gave some money to a bum that was begging for money on the bridge...after the girls gave the bum the money they ran off screaming that they gave the bum some money..they caught up to their boyfriends that were now on the moving sidewalk that goes into the Excalibur...the girls were hootin and hollering all over the place and one of then started to flash here boobs...there was two guys ahead of them that were impressed with this but my wife was mad at this act...these two girls were almost right next to me when they did it again so my wife looked at me and said "what a slut!"...
now i'm from Canada and where i live its legal to go topless which you see all the time in the summer on the beach near where i live so the act that the two girls did seemed natural to me but my wife who has lived in Michigan all her life thought that this act of nudity was caused by drunkness and was appalled by their actions. The two girls proceeded two flash all the way into the casino on the moving sidewalk..how much longer they kept it up i don't know because my wife started walking very fast to get away from them. I'm sure if security could see them that they would be asked to behave or leave.
This type of nudity has no place in LV..all its going to do is ask for trouble

Nudity in Las Vegas is okay if it's tastefully...done on stage, or if one is at a topless pool. Other than that, IMO it's obscene, vulgar and totally unacceptable. My husband who grew up in Canada agrees with me, but said he would get a good look before I dragged him away.:D

Not from what I've seen of Vegas security guys. We were in Luxor (same management team as Excalibur) and two security guys were oogling two girls on their monitor going "ooh, she's hot!!" I sincerely doubt they would have done anything to discourage these girls!
