I am always disappointed when I get to a buffet and the crab legs are served cold. When I go in November, I will be going with a non-seafood lover so the Seafood buffet at the Rio is out. Does anyone know which other buffets have hot crab legs on a regular basis? ( The Aladdin was cold legs last time).

Thank you

The Big Kitchen Buffet at Bally's has them and I believe the Rio Seafood Buffet has them also.

The Aladdin will steam the legs for you to heat them up if you ask. Of course I have seen it there when it was so busy you had to wait a while in line to get to the legs - don't know how long it would take to get them steamed.

Sam's town has hot crab legs (very good) on their buffet on Friday nite. If you don't have a car, you can catch a shuttle from Stardust (and possibly other strip hotels) to Sam's. Also if you earn 300 points on your players card on Friday, you can get the buffet for FREE. Boulder Station also has hot crab legs. We prefer Sam's. Usually get there every trip.

why spend $35 on a buffet that serves snow crab when you can go to a nice restaurant and get a whole pound of king crab legs for about the same, sometimes even less. the buffets don't really have the quality. sure, you can choose from canned corn, instant mashed potatoes and carrots and lots of (usually dried out) desserts. but who honestly needs all those side carbs after a fine serving of crab legs? as a meal, most restaurants include a side salad, potato and vegetable. plenty of food--and much better food. don't get me wrong, i do the buffets quite frequently. but dollar for dollar, a seated, served meal of king crab legs beats the all you can eat snow crab at the buffets any day.

That is I love crab too, and agree about snow crab vs king crab. However the crab I had at Aladdin's last February was king crab. 2 years ago at Paris it was king crab.

I do hope the King has not left the building.

The Rio Carnival steamed the crabs. There are $5 coupon available.:)
The Cravings at Mirage may also steam.

Hi - I hate cold crab legs, but still eat 'em :)

Bellagio buffet has GREAT king crab legs, with very hot butter. From what I remember of Aladdin, the butter was luke warm or cold.

The Bellagio buffet is about $35 and they do serve split, king crab legs. I think that's a far better deal than just ordering them at a restaurant. I can eat more :)

Bellagio has 'em! Delicious. Worth the $35! Added benefit...the wonderful gourmet foods offered there also. Try it!

The Bellagio has good split King Crab legs, but I have never had them hot there. They are always on a bed of ice. The melted butter is hot, but last time I ate there (May 2005) the butter actually congealed on the crab meat because the crab legs were so cold. I also prefer them to be hot.
