Why do I ask, you ask??

Tenth anniversary dinner at The Top of the World at the Strat.

We want our reservations to be for about a half an hour before sunset so we can watch the sun set and the neon rise.

TIA

Here's a link to a neat website, gives you sunrise, sunset and phases of the moon.

In December, sunset is around 4:30 pm.

Of course that is when the sun actually goes under the horizon. I imagine it still stays light for a while.

Not exactly sure when the sun sets in mid-December, but I've seen a few sunrises.... ;) :)

Kestral,

Nice Find.

I didn't realize that there are several twilight categories.

I just learned that what I am really looking for is Nautical Twilight and not really Sunset.

Thanks' much!

you can enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail in the lounge just outside the restaurant and enjoy the sunset from there. here in vegas, we often have very colorful skies at sunset. also, it is so neat to watch all the lights turn across the valley. after dinner, a drink at this bar might be another option as they usually have great, mellow, romantic entertainment like a jazz/pop singer or combo.

enjoy. andrea from las vegas.
