I have been reading the message boards for quite so time now so I might as well introduce myself.
I am Joy from MA and I have gambling in my blood. I along with my 10 brothers and sisters were conceived in Vegas. You could always figure out when my parents went to Vegas if you counted back 9 months from our birthdays. My parents got away once or twice a year to thier favorite vacation spot so I looked forward to the day I turned 21 so I could go as well.
Unfortunately I never got to travel with my parents as I lost my mother to cancer 10 years ago. Everytime I go I take my mothers ring with me so I feel like she is there with me. We have 2 weddings in Vegas so we have been lucky to have most of the family there (it's very hard to get all of us anywhere at one time).
I would have to say that I have been to Vegas about 12 or so times and I love it! My home away from home is the FABulous Mirage which I have stayed at the last 5 times. I have stayed at Rio, Harrah's (did NOT like it), Orleans, TI, Excalibur, and Caesars Palace. I am an avid keno player (I know!) and was crushed when they took out the ABC keno out of the Mirage...I had my own little corner that I called Keno corner that I loved to play in.
I will be traveling back to Vegas Aug 1st-7th with my gf that I got hooked on Vegas many years ago. I will be staying 3 free nights at the Mirage and after getting an offer from Wynn decided to mix it up and do the last 3 nights there.
I am still looking for that special trip where I actually come home a winner!
