This week's Topic Of The Week question is:

Have you ever lost anything (besides $$$$) money in Las Vegas and/or have you ever found anything in Las Vegas?

If you found something, and it had a value to it, did you turn it in?
(Be Honest) :D

I lost a pair of prescription sunglasses at either Paris or Ballys. Security was very nice and helped me look in the places where I thought I had laid them down. Nothing. They then directed me to the Lost & Found at Ballys and they did not have them either. They said to come back the next day to see if they were turned in but we were leaving so I did not get to check back.

Oh, well. The prescription was old anyway.

I was walking between Casino Royale and Harrah's and kicked something with my foot.

I looked down and it was a black chip from The Mirage ($100) so of course I picked it up.

I glanced around and no one was looking for anything or seemed to be missing anything. I stood there for a minute to make sure but I figured that someone had dropped it and had no idea and it was my lucky day.

I went into The Mirage and up to the cashier - the attendant's home town was Santa Barbara, CA - same as mine. I took that as a sign and just counted myself a (temporary) winner.

If I had turned it in, the hotel would have just taken it as profit as they have no way to determine who it belonged to so it seemed ok to take it as good fortune.

I did lose my little purse that contained all my gambling money but wasn't in Vegas it was in AZ at Fort McDoud. How lucky I was when I heard my name mentioned over the loud speaker. A very kind security guard found the purse and turned it in. I gave him a nice tip. Never lost or found anything in Vegas. Sherry

The only thing I ever lost in Vegas (other than Money) was my cell phone. I noticed that I have lost it upon arrival into the Las Vegas airport.

After three days of checking with the airlines and the airport in Nashville as well as the airport in Denver where I changed planes, I received a call that someone from Frontier Airlines had found it in the overhead bin. It was finally returned to me when I got home a week later. :)

You never realize how dependent you've becone on those little phones until you have to live without one for a week.

I was so thankful to Frontier airlines for going the extra mile to return it to me at no cost to me. :D

I always seem to just loose my money I came with in Vegas (still have a good time though) but up here in Buffalo, I did find a 2 dollar ticket and underneath that one was a 375 dollar ticket in the tray of one of the slot machines. No one came to claim it and surely I wasn't going to turn it into security or lost and found. Made up for the 300 I just lost minutes earlier.

A year ago I lost a voucher from the Imperial Palace for $303 and was sick about it. Hopefully somebody found it that needed the money. I got the voucher on Thursday and knew I had it up till Thursday night and discovered it missing on Friday. Went to security at Imperial Palace and they were great. They even called me at my residence and told me they had nothing a couple days later. All was not lost tho....went to the Elvis machine when I discovered it lost and won $250. Thank you Elvis!!!

My wife found some money on the floor. We turned it into security. This guard looked at us like we had lost our mind. I couldn't believe the look on his face. From now on, we just pocket it. I doubt VERY seriously whether he turned it in.
As far as losing stuff. Nothing yet.

One year hubby & I were walking to Ellis Island from Bally's in the daytime. We were taking our time since it was very hot out and as we were strolling along I kept glancing over to the ground by the sidewalk. There was construction there like always. The sun was reflecting off of broken glass, rocks - etc.by the fence. But something caught my eye that was very bright. I bent down to pick it up & it was partially covered by dirt but it was a ring......A big diamond ring. I brushed off some of the dirt (there was dirt imbedded in the ring) & saw what appeared to be a very big men's diamond ring. Obviously it had been there quite a while. It made me wonder how someone lost it back there or had the construction just unearthed it? I put it in my pocket & when we got back to the hotel, I washed it off. Having no idea who it could belong to (no, Bugsy Seigels initials were not engraved inside - haha) I took it home with me. Took it to several jewelers in our area to see if it was real. They all said about the same thing. Over 2 carats, enough gold to make several womens rings.....the biggie was it was custom made with heirloom diamonds & very old. I did send a notice to be posted in the lost/found section of the newspaper in LV to see if anyone responded. They did not. I still have the ring. The appraisal was about $5000. After about 4 years, I am still holding on to it & have not attempted to sell it. Don't think I will ever have a "find" like that again!

After a late night..hahaha I was in The Monte Carlo and I looked in my pockets and had NO MONEY. I had just left the washroom, and I rushed back in there and searched, called security and anyone I could find..Oh Crap I lost over $1000.I knew I didnt spend it In Olympic Gardens although that was possiblke.LOL.Because I was sure it was in my pocket when I went to the room..I went back to my room to cry in my beer and looked in the safe and BINGO THERE IT WAS!! Ohh the eveils of drinking in Vegas!!
I found a Diamond Tennis Bracelet hanging on a bush near Ceasars, the sun happened to hit it and I saw it...It looked fake..maybe hi end costume jewelery and everyone laughed when I said I should turn it in and I was convinced to just keep it..It wasnt fake, and I still feel guilty, but If I turned it in someone else I think would have made off with it:p

I was playing the Flaming 777's at the Flamingo and had been winning big on them for a few days( $400 each win) Friends joined me one day, showed them my lucky machines, he dropped in a hundred bucks, after a few pulls, he won $400 bucks, so I played the machine next to him and won the same, then he won again, same amount..........I started to play the machine next to me and forgot to take the bucket with my winnings because that machine hit too. So in the confusion of collecting the second 400 bucks and moving over a machine, and my friends winning twice, we got up to leave to meet a third couple and they walked in just as we were getting up. Needless to say, in all the excitement and telling our stories, I rememberd my first bucket of dollars, turned to get them at the machine, and OF COURSE, they were gone...........OMG! two young guys had been sitting there and left kinda quickly, and now I know why... they walked off with my four hundred freakin dollars/
Another year, lost a pair of $150 sunglasses in the Monte Carlo, asked around, the next day they found them.... lucked out then.
The next year, left a pair of $140 pair of sunglasses in a Taxi after seeing a lousy show at the Palm Casino.(/Bada, Bing).. never got those back......
Next time I go, i'm bringing my cheap sunglasses and staying away from the flaming Sevens at the Flamingo...LOL:( :(

Last visit I found a Cell Phone in the Van from the Airport. Foolish me I turned it in to the driver, instead of the dispatch kiosk. The driver didn't turn the phone in to the kiosk he just reported that he had the phone to the Central office. I don't know why he did this, I wonder where he thought the phone owner was? We were still at the Airport. With even my limited powers of deduction "My dear Watson." the owner was going to catch a flight to somewhere. DUH

How about Laughlin? Does that count?

I lost my Mom at the Riverside several years ago. We just got there and I went to check-in. I left her playing VP. I could not find her after checking-in. The joint isn't that big. I even got security involved. I finally found her a couple rows over from where we departed. I was stone cold sober too.

A couple of years ago I was walking through the River Palms maybe mid-morning. I found some bills under a machine and stuffed them in my pocket. It was a couple hours and a couple casinos later that I looked at my find. No Washingtons, but a couple of Franklins! Had a brief moment to consider then...added it to the bankroll.

I lost a blood sugar testing kit (not good). Seems like I never lose anything unless I am drinking...go figure. I fell on my face once and broke a pair of glasses and had to go to Lenscrafters for a new pair...I am blind w/o them. Oh, and I broke a leg at a Chippendale show and still walked on it around Vegas for 3 days. I guess that's really not losing anything but my mind. Never found anything though.

1992 and we had returned to Vegas to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Grea trip and we came out about $1,200.00 ahead for the week. So my wallet contained nearly $4,000.00 as we waited to board for the return flight. I went to play a few slots. After about 10 minutes my wife walked by and said she was headed to ladies room. I wemt tap city and reached for my wallet to replenish the machine. OOOOOPPPPPPSSSS no wallet. Panic set in. I go back to where I had been sitting and someone else was sitting there. I asked if he could move because I thought I might have lost something. Adn there it was on the seat, my wallet. Nothing missing and my heart rate returned to normal.

For some reason, in my haste to leave a slot machine that was "stealing" my money at the Wynn......I left my purse behind!!! I was several rows away when I realized what I had done. I immediately ran like back to where I had been. The purse was already gone and I had only left a couple of minutes ago. My husband saw me running around like a crazy person and couldn't figure out what was going on. One of the members of the security team came up to me and said, "were you the one that left her purse behind?" The security guard had already turned it into the Lost and Found. Since it was found by security and had only been out of my sight for a couple of minutes, nothing was missing. I have never felt more grateful in my life for the wonderful job that security does in the Vegas casinos. Thanks Wynn =)

I lost my cell phone in the Barbary Coast last year and everyone knows the fear that grips your heart when you lose something!!! I asked the security guard if they had a lost and found and he directed me downstairs to the "cage". The nicest man there had me describe my phone and produced it right away. I would like to thank the person that turned it in but I don't know who it was. People like that are so rare!!! What a relief to have gotten it back. I keep it really close now. As for found...I saw a $20 bill on the floor at the dice table at Boulder Station but didnt know who dropped it. The security camera did though and when the guy later came back to the table they teased him first then gave him the 20. He was not feeling any pain!!!!!!!! Viva Las Vegas....I cant wait for October when I go back :)

My husband unknowingly left his $100 diamond ring in our room at the Rio.
A week later, we got an envelope at home from the Rio with his ring.
We were very happy because it was my birthday gift to him.

WOW, in April, my brother found a purse at Wynn! Tried to see if anyone was looking around frantically and didn't see anyone. Hunted down security and gave it to them. Only other thing that we've ever found was a couple of cellphones that were just laying on the ground. Turned those into security. With all the cameras around, if you found something, they'll know who you are :))

Hi, yes we have done both, one time I left my cell phone on a shuttle, so I used my wifes cell and called mine. Sure enough some on on shuttle answered and told the driver and he brought back to me. He got a nice tip.
One time my wife found a nice necklace, so she tuned into security. They took her name and address and said if no one called for it in two weeks they would send it to her. In just a little over two weeks my wife received it in the mail.

Forgot to add in what I lost, not this year, but last. We had stopped at the Palms to eat (I know, I know) and when we were done, we walked over to the high dollar slots. I'm not a high dollar slot player, but like to drop in $20 and get 2 pulls on Wheel. Hit the wheel on the first spin, spun and it $250. Cashed out my ticket and went to the cash machine (I ain't no dummy). Later that evening, we went downtown and, while waiting for the overhead show, stopped in one of the little places that give you beads when you walk in. Playing another wheel machine, this time quarters, and hit something that paid $125. Cashed out, of course all in quarters. Went to the cashier and got paid. Up $375 with about 20 minutes of play. After the overhead show, we went into the Golden Nugget and sat down to play some Let It Ride. Bought in for $200. A few minutes later, someone walked by and said "Look, there's a dollar on the floor". Since I KNOW this is an old ploy to get you to look down, and someone grab chips from the table, and knowing that I KNEW I didn't have any ONE DOLLAR bills in my pocket, I just kept on playing while this other person bent over and scooped up what was obviously just a dollar. No Biggie. At the end of the night, when I get back to the hotel, I start counting up for the day and realize that the "dollar" that had been on the floor was actually a $100 bill that had come out of my pocket when I did the buy in at Let It Ride! :( That was part of my winnings and I was none to happy. Can't blame anyone by myself. Still turned out to be a good ($$$) day, overall. Just wished it was $100 higher! :D

Last October I lost the small fold that held my credit cards and drivers license at Caesar's. You can imagine the anxiety as we were leaving that morning for home and I knew that trying to get through the airport would be a nightmare. Security at Caesar's was wonderful, they even went as far as opening up the Diamond Club so that I could see if it was left there the night before. They told me that this happens quite frequently and that they would contact me should it turn up. I went back to the room and was contemplating calling the credit card companies when I noticed something lodged under the coffee table....sure enough, there it was Phew!!! I wrote a note to the casino expressing my appreciation of their security staff. I must have lost my cell phone 3 times at the Rio and all 3 times it was turned in. The only thing I ever found in Vegas was prior to TITO, there was always a handful of quarters left in the little slot under the slot machine.:D

Years ago, my husband lost his cell phone at a casino but when I
went to Security someone had turned it in. A few years ago I sat
down at an end VP machine & noticed there was a ring box & card
sitting there. I opened the box, it was a gemstone ring (don't remember
what gemstone) & a birthday card. I fully intended to turn it into
Security but I was on a winning streak & didn't want to leave yet.
A woman came by, swooped up the box & card & said "thank God".
She did this so quickly, I didn't have a chance to say anything to her.

When I was in Vegas this past April I lost my cell phone the second night we were there. We went off the strip to a bar that an old friend was bartending at and I left the cell phone accidently in the cab. We called it for 8 hours straight - until 6am and no one answered it. I called the cab company and no one turned it in. After about 9 hours I called Cingular and had my service suspended. When I arrived home 3 days later and checked my account online, I found out that there was $961 dollars worth of calls  to Somalia and Egypt to name a few. Because our cabbie that night had told us he moved to Las Vegas from Sudan 4 years ago I put two and two together and figured he was the one with my phone calling all his family members. Luckily I was not liable for these charges and was able to get another phone (with my original number) when I returned home. The worst part of the loss was that I was with two girlfriends and since we all basically had different agendas for during the day I had no way of contacting them so I was stuck to one of them the entire trip. You never realize how much you use your cell phone until you don't have it. MORAL OF THE STORY - if you don't use international calling on your phone, CANCEL it. I was lucky this time, not having to pay that bill but I have heard that other cell service providers do make you pay for any calls made from your phone up until the time you report it stolen and cancel service. One more kicker to this story... up until a week ago or so I was getting calls from Somolia on my phone - I would say hello and they were say something in Somolian and then hang up. I thought it was amusing the first week or so after returning but are these people that stupid that they don't realize that their friend/family member no longer has this number?? So thats my story - hopefully it will help someone in the long run!

Over 10 years ago, at the old Aladdin, I lost my cell phone. This was during the time when cell phones weren't as common as they are now. Security there was very helpful, but no cell phone was found. I also dropped $200 out of my pocket at the craps table at the Aladdin, but security came by, tapped my on the shoulder and said "I think you dropped something." Oops.

I try to lose my girlfriend, Suzy, there, but she keeps finding her way back home .... The next person that finds her, you can keep her, but you gotta pay her credit card bill every month.

On my first trip to Vegas in june 1992 i was staying at the Stardust and had meetings at the Hilton. So i walked to each place everyday. I took some back routes and i found a mens ring with lots of diamonds i thought by the garbage area behind the riveria. I took it home and had it apraised , cost me $30 and found out it was cubic zirconias and gold plate worth about $30 , so that was a bust.

Another trip i saw a wad of cash rolled up, in the washroom, at Buffalo bills in Primm, i picked it up and it was all ones about $15 worth , i kept it as i am sure no one was going to look for $15.

I never lost anything, but my Mom did quite a long time ago. We were staying at the old Aladdin and for some unknown reason she took her house keys out of her purse right before we were leaving Las Vegas. When we arrived home in PA, she realized that she did not have her keys. Luckily, I have an extra one and upon entering her home, she called the Aladdin. Sure enough, they were there. The hotel was kind of enough to send them out to her right away. :)

Walking from Flamingo Poker Room through a bank of emply slots, noticed some bills on the floor. Turned out to be $12.00. Took the $12.00 to a Wheel of Fortune Machine near the elevators and turned the $12 into a $102.00 win. Dining at Postrio's at the Venetian one evening and went to use the rest room. As I was washing my hands, I noticed a wallet that had been left behind and turned it over to the manager. He opened the wallet to check for identification and noted that it belonged to a Las Vegas resident. Out of all the tourists that dine at Postrio's, I was surprised that the wallet belonged to someone living in LV. Also found a ten dollar bill once at the foot of the escalator at the Venetian.

Left my jacket in the taxi when we got to TI. Had my players' club cards in the pocket. While at the Palms walked away from a machine with a $200 ticket in it. Was on the other side of the casino when I realized it. Did the hustle back to the machine. It was still there! Duh, another Palms dummy situation. Walked away from the silver strike machine with about $75 credit in it. Remembered about 50 yards away and headed back. A Palms employee had my ticket. Found a bucket nearly filled at the Mirage. Turned it in to a security guy. He looked at me like I was a dumb %$&*.

Several years ago we sat down at a slot machine in NYNY and there was a bucket of quarters---nearly full. Looked around (I don't really know why---must be a knee-jerk reaction:confused: ) and didn't see anyone that appeared to be looking for something. We played for about twenty minutes then I found a security person while Cheryl continued to play. The guard took the bucket and never really acknowledged us---just took it and left. Thought we would at least get a thank you, but it seemed more like a "What a pair of dummies" . Should this happen again, I still wouldn't take the money---it wasn't mine. But I wouldn't turn it in either---I'd just walk away.

Fortunately we haven't lost anything of value on our many trips other than a few souvenirs that we've left in slot trays then remembered an hour later at another casino. I will say, however, that in my Las Vegas life I have lost and left well over a hundred slot club cards:o . Probably because I refuse to wear one of those meant for the feeble-minded bungee cords!;)

The first year we went to Vegas we stayed at the Luxor. I was playing at a slot machine and when I went to cash out in the tray there was a wallet. (This was when there was no TITO.)

I did not even open it. I went straight for security and turned it in. I saw the owner stumble over to the machine and I directed him to security. I was surprised that he was in any shape to realize he lost it.

On another trip I walked up to a slot machine and went to put money in and there was a few credits still in the machine. I took the first spin and hit for a good amount.

We have not lost anything so far other than sleep and money!! Hope to keep it the same.

One of our "guys only" trips, one of the guys found a football betting slip on the elevator floor, $100 winner, no one around so he cashed it!

One time I took a fake watch (cheap $40 version of a Rolex) to Vegas to give to a friend. Dropped out of my suite pocket at a lounge at Caesars! If I had lost it at IP or something like that they would have assumed it a fake, but at Caesars they likely felt it was the real deal!!

For one thing, HONESTY is its own reward, and for another, who knows how many security cameras were trained on it and YOU.

About a year and a half ago, I was wandering around the Luxor waiting for my husband to finish (ie run out of money) at blackjack when I saw a crumpled bill on the floor, in the aisle near the craps tables. I picked it up and did the look around thing that we all seem to do. The only eye that was looking at me was one of the workers at the table. He just looked at me and nodded with a quick wink. I took the wadded up bill over to my husband and handed it to him... honestly, I thought it was just $1 because I only saw the number 1. Once he uncrinkled it, I saw it was $100. Then I took it back! A girl's gotta shop!!!

Then a few months ago, there was a message on the hotel room phone that the last guest called to say they had left $200 in the ice bucket and could I check and see if it was still there. I did and it was. Then I called down to the desk to say the $200 was there and that they could send someone up to get it. Hmm. I could just as easily have said the money wasn't there. I guess my instinct was honesty and maybe the hope that it would be good karma for me. I do check ice buckets when I get into hotel rooms now though.

On one trip home after we had gone thru security at McCarren, hubby discovered that his driver's license was missing. He went back to security to see if he had dropped it, but he couldn't find it and the security people couldn't find it either. They said that happened a lot.

On the way to the gate we stopped in the smoking lounge for our usual smoke. He reached in his pocket for his cigarettes and there was his DL. Phew!!

Found a cell phone attached to a velcro strap on my wife's computer backpack while waiting to check into hotel at airport the end of April. I called several #'s in the phone's directory and got many people who knew him, but didn't know where he was staying in Vegas. Seems he was meeting an old army buddy. He is from Louisiana and I forgot I still had his phone until I read this email. Guess I'll take it to the local provider and turn it in to them...

I was leaving Las Vegas and put my Cell phone into the grey tray bucket thing. then, for some reason, i reached back to it and move my small items and back pack into a diffrent tray or the small items dish. My wife and i got onto the tram and wheni got off i realized it was gone. I waited for the tram, took it back and waited untill it emptied, then the other set of doors opened to let passengers on, i got off so i had access to the end of the security line. ( actually a nice trick that avoided the huge line/ticket check etc) I went to the buckets and looked, asked and a half hearted look was made. It wasnt ever found, and i had been gone only the few minutes two tram rides take. I was stunned but it was out of contract, so no real loss. I always wonder if sercurity pocked it, as it went thru Xray in that bucket........
I did find Ten dollars on the floor of the LV Hilton. At first i thought it was mine, but then realized i dont carry that kind of cash LOL

I'm usually pretty aware of what I'm doing and seldom lose anything. But I've had a couple of incidents in Vegas where I've turned space cadet.

On my first solo trip, I had a ticket to see HAIRSPRAY at the Luxor. I actually presented the ticket at the door and went into the inner lobby. The theater itself wasn't open yet, so I bought a drink and was standing there looking through the program when I suddenly realized I had dropped the ticket somewhere. I never found it and was unable to get into the theater to see the show. The boxoffice wasn't any help in reissuing it, even though I still had all of the receipts from when I picked it up earlier in the day.

The other goofball thing I did happened in April 2006. I was staying at the Tropicana and went to the internet kiosk on my last full day to check in for my flight and print out my boarding pass. I had some problems with the process, but eventually got the boarding pass, went back to my room to change, then headed out to the pool. When I got back to my room, the red message light was flashing on my phone. I checked the message that alerted me one of my credit cards had been turned in to security. I raced down to the security desk. Turns out I had left my debit card in the internet kiosk. Yikes! Fortunately, I had no problems follow me home.

Last November, I had purchased a new money clip at Fashion Show Mall, one that had a couple of pockets in it. This was to carry around my bankroll and slot cards. After I transfered the bankroll to my new money clip, somewhere along the way, I lost my old, empty money clip. Hated to see that go as it was a souvenir from a favorite former job of mine. At least it was empty, though.

I haven't lost anything in Vegas, but I did find a $50 chip on the floor of Mirage. :D I did keep it. I'm not sure if that was legal or not, but I figured finders keepers.....Well, I played it right away on a roulette table and lost it..:( I guess what goes around, comes around..

I haven't lost anything, apart from money in slot machines, but a friend found $2,000 on the floor by the cashier and handed it over the counter. Two weeks later she had a phone call in the UK to say no one had reported it missing and was sent a cheque for the full amount. What a way to win!!!! About the only way.

Several years ago, my cousin and I were in Vegas and went to the airport to pick someone up. We used a cab and when he got out and went inside the terminal, he noticed his billfold was gone!.. We immediately called the cab company and the driver did return with the wallet that had fallen out in the back seat(I paid the fare, so he didn't miss it when we got out). Thank heavens for a honest cabbie!!

One time after returning from Vegas I discovered that I had left one of my shirt hanging in the closet at the Hilton, it had been a few months so I never called about it. I left a jacket in the casino at the Flamingo late one night, went to security the next day but no one had turned it in. Hate to lose it I had spent all day at the River Palms in Laughlin getting enough points to get it just a few days prior. The biggest thing I lost in a casino was my drivers license at the Grand in Tunica. It was getting close to fly back home when I dicovered my drivers licenses missing. Searched every where then I remembered I had used them to cash in some comps at the players club the day before. Just so happens the lady that had waited on me still had them there. She said she thought I would have been back sooner or she would have turned them over to security. I have found two nice cameras while in Vegas. One at the Aladdin buffet turned it in to the cashier there. The other one was while sitting on a bench outside the Wynn waiting for the shuttle bus back to the Monorail. I had seen a couple sitting on that bench just before the shuttle came. Turns out it was theirs when I asked them about it. The lady thanjed me several times stating she had lost a couple before and her husband said that this one was the last he was going to buy her...LOL. Other than that I always find a good time in Las Vegas.

a couple years ago, while staying at the Vegas Club, i was playing video poker. I got up to change machines, and noticed a door in the cabinet that the slot machines sit on was open, and there was quite a large pile of bills scattered about the floor.

i stood a safe distance away from it as i didn't want any possibility of the security thinking i had anything to do with this situation. i started waving my arms trying to get an employees attention. finally a pit boss saw me, came over and started swearing like a sailor.

it was pretty funny, but i never got a thank you or even an acknowledgment.

oh well.

other than that i have found a few credits left in machines, and lots of cash out tickets for a penny....lol

>>I lost my cell phone in the Barbary Coast last year and everyone knows >>the fear that grips your heart when you lose something!!!

Year before last, I dropped my CES namebadge somewhere between the Sahara buffet and the entrance to the Monorail. I retraced my route, with no success, but when I dejectedly made it back up to the station, the attendant/guard asked "if this is what I was looking for?" (I had dropped my badge at the ticket kiosk.) I was very happy not to have to replace my "free" pass with replacement "$100/day" credentials.

I was in Vegas at Paris a few years ago when I noticed someone had snatched my cell phone off of the front of my purse where I had it clipped on. It was mid evening and Paris was very busy that night. Everytime you went to walk anywhere, you were practically shoulder to shoulder with people. As soon as I realized my phone was missing, my husband called my phone and the thief actually answered it. My husband told him to give the phone back. Told him to take the phone to security. Well, of course that didn't work, so we called our carrier and reported it stolen and shut down my service. Good thing we did too. They later told us several calls were made to Germany just in that short time that they had the phone until I noticed it missing, which was just a matter of about 20 minutes. We didn't have to pay for the calls, but I never did get my phone back with all my pistures and stored numbers in it. Paris thought that after we shut the service down, the thieves might just leave it sit by a machine or toss it away, but, they didn't.

At Caesars AC, a cleaning attendant pointed out that there was some money in the change tray next to my machine. I looked and quickly saw 6 or 7 singles so I assumed the rest were also singles. I handed her a couple and held onto the rest in a separate pocket from my bankroll to see if anyone returned. I played at the machine for at least 3/4 of an hour and no one came looking for the money. I figured I had made a couple of bucks I could use for tips (since I'm always running out of singles) and didn't think anymore about it. Later that night I found the money, and discovered 5 Franklins on the inside of the singles. To be honest, if I had spotted the 100's earlier, I'm not sure what I would have done. Except definitely give the change attendant a bigger toke.

Another time, I received an envelope from Mohegan Sun in the mail, which I assumed was some promotion or other. But inside was a check for $135, with a letter stating that there were credits left in a machine, and their investigation determined it belonged to me. I know I didn't leave any credits in any machine, but I remembered I had put my players card in a slot machine to check my available points very late one night. I guess there were credits left in there, and maybe they figured my card was the last one in the machine???

One time Eileen and I were playing a slot machine in Bally's. We always sit side by side when palying slots as we take turns spinning the reels. I was sitting to her left and she was more in front of the slot than I was. I went to put my water bottle down between the machines and there was something that was blocking me from doing that. I looked to see what it was and it was a bucket full of $1.00 coins. When we counted it there was exactly $100 in it so we were guessing that someone put that specific amount aside and just walked away without it.

We did not turn it in.

There was also another time that we were walking through the MGM and I found a $100 bill on the floor.

I also have a perfect record of finding some type of coin on the floor of a casino. It's getter harder to do that due to the fact that most slots are noe coinless.

LOST:
We left a bucket of coins on the table at the TI cafe. About 30 minutes later, I remembered what I did. We went back and the manager said that the waitress turned the bucket into security. We were asked what denomination the coins were and about how much money was there. After verifying that info, we got the bucket back.

I think Eileen lost a few sweaters during some of our trips.

A couple of years ago while playing the flamming 777 machine at the Flamingo the machine ran out of coins. When the person refilled the machine they left a bag full of dollars on my chair. Started to think should i or shouldn,t keep the bag but after looking around glanced up saw security camera overhead. took bag over to money cage never getting a thank you:mad:

Over the years I have lost a lot of money in Vegas. If someone finds some, please send it to me!

Actually, a couple years ago at the IP, I did find a beautiful camcorder! It had all the bells and whistles. It was left by the Bar stool near the bar by where the dealertainers play in the pit. Of course I brought it to the front counter and reported what I had found. Hope the right persons got it back! I still have a thread of honesty left in me!

Almost forgot! I lost a small bag with change and Blackjack chips and a few other collectibles this past march. I lost them from a checked bag at McCarren airport. I will never check anything of value again! I suppose there was $50.00 in there in Chips and change! Vegas strikes again.

I have lost a trail of sunglasses all over Vegas which is why I never buy a pair more than $25. I did find a $10 bill in the bill breaker at the Mirage and I used it to buy new sunglasses.

This was an excellent question. I don't think I ever lost anything (knock on wood). The only thing I ever found was a one of the downtown hotels, can't remember which, but I walked up to a nickel machine and there was 50.00 credit on the machine. I played a little and cashed it out and kept the rest.

I lost a huge gym bag filled with about $1,000 worth of prescription glasses, victoria's secret lingerie, reebok sneakers, jewelry, and souveniers from Mandalat Bay. I think it was stolen at McCarran, because it was a large B.U.M. bag, and I saw the twinkle in the luggage handler's eye as he said, "I'll take good care of this for you." Such good care, that it never made it to JFK!

My husband and I still wonder who or what is walking around with his glasses. To start, we went back to our room the night before we were leaving, I did some packing and then we went to sleep. We woke up early to finish packing and so I could go down to the pool for one more swim. When my husband went to put his glasses on they were not there! We literally tore the room apart, more than one time. We never found them. I know what you would say, "did we have a few too many the night before?", no. When we went to get new ones we told the receptionist what happened and the first thing out of her mouth was "a ghost must have needed them more!". To this day when we walk thru the Luxor my husband and I always make a comment about a mummy walking around the casino with my husband glasses on.

One of my friends left her rings on the night stand at Bally's when we were on our way out to the airport. Said the bellman came when she was putting lotion on and she buzzed out of the room and left the rings behind. We circled the block (on a Saturday around noon...took almost half an hour) and she ran in. The maid had already turned them over to security and she was able to pick them up as soon as she identified them. Made it to rental car return and airport with about a half hour to spare!

My niece left her cell phone at Sam's Town, again, when she called they had it and she was able to pick it up.

I've never found anything, but my husband found a cigarette case with no ID on the floor at Harrah's in Reno with $102. We were staying at the Hilton, but I called security at Harrah's a couple of times to see if anyone was looking for it...no one had, so hubby kept it.

I've already reported what I've lost in Vegas. I failed to mention the occasional ticket in the machine I've found. It's never been too much. Seems people will abandon one that is only for a few cents -- 17 cents, 34 cents, etc. Oddball amounts.

I always take these to a ticket redemption machine, get the change, then toss it into whatever water feature they have at the casino where the money collected goes to a charity. NYNY, for example, gives its "water money" to Make a Wish Foundation.

:( First loss: 14k gold & diamond tennis bracelet at Caesars.
Second loss: New glasses on a custom made Swaroski Crystal chain in
really pretty pastel stones. Also lost at Caesars. (I only stay at Caesars
so anything I lose will be there.)
Security was great, but I never retrieved either of the above.

We were staying at the Golden Nugget in the two story suite ( they gave us a good deal ) I counted out $400 in twentys to give my wife she did not hear me when I told her it was on the bed. We went to a show at the orleans and I asked if she took the money and she said "what money" oh well figured it was gone as we had turn down service at night got back no money on bed our word against maid. Wife looked under pillow and found it where maid put it. Called manager got maid name and gave her $25 not counting tip. This gave us a good feeling to know honesty still out there.

I lost my cell phone somewhere between the plane and baggage pickup in Vegas in September 05. Called both airline lost and found as well as the airports lost and found 5 days in a row with no luck. Still don't know what happened to it, but I used my sons cell to cancel my service.

As far as finding anything, I've found the usual few penny tito tickets in various machines. The best thing I ever found was $300 on the floor of the restroom at Caesars. I didn't even think about turning it in as there was no identification and way too much foot traffic through there.

Was walking through the gardens at The Mirage when I saw something shiny on the floor. Bent down to pick up a chain with 3 diamonds on the pendant. I tracked down a security guy and handed it in. He took my name and address and said if no one claims it within the next month, he said it would be mine. :)
It was about 6 weeks later and I received the necklace in the mail. :D That was a nice surprise. It turned out to be white gold and the stones were diamonds. I feel bad that someone lost this beautiful piece of jewelry. :(

Never found any money or jewelry but I did find someone's drivers license at the airport. Found it just after security.

I noticed that the person lived in my state and close to my city so I figures she must be on my flight so I just went to the gate and had them paged at the gate (lord knows that the security checkpoint would do with it). Needless to say the person was very relieved to get her license back.

I lost my treasured MIckey watch while staying at the Wynn last year. I realized it was missing at the airport on the way home. I called Bally's first, since we has spent a lot of time there. Next, I called the Wynn's lost and found. All I had to say was I had had lost a brown Mickey watch, the very nice young lady says "We have it". I was amazed!!! And relieved! I had left it at the Buffet and someone had turned it in. Since I was already at the airport, she took my information and sent it to me UPS/overnight. I still cannot believe my good fortune. I wrote the Wynn a nice letter of appreciation.

I always make it a habit to collect souvenirs from new casinos. The Bellagio had just opened up and I had collected some matchbooks, bought some post cards and casino chips. I sat down to play and when I got up to leave, I forgot to pick up the bag with all my goodies in it. When I went back, it was gone. I went to security, and they said they would send somebody to get me. My husband said, "You're not going to see them again." They took me through the back of the casino that visitors don't usually get to see. The place is as big behind the scenes as it is in front. I thought I would never get to lost and found, but there it was. Everything I had bought was in the bag.:)

I left a sweater on the back of my chair while we were eating at the Cannery.
Never did get that back.:(

My husband found $20 while walking from the elevators to the casino at the Hard Rock. He thought it was going to be his lucky day. He put it in a machine and that was the end of that.

I picked it up it was a cell phone. I knew I needed to turn it in but, I did not want to leave My machine, what if someone sat there and won just as I left:confused: So, I stayed and played for a while. I did not win on My machine so I went to the cage and turned in the phone. Just as I turned around there was my husband. He said, I lost my phone! Yup, I turned in my husbands phone:D

I lost my cell phone around C14 southwest at the Mccarrin airport Tuesday the 11th around 8:15 AM.

It is a Samsung Blackjack(Similar to a blackberry), it has a full keyboard on the front, it is black and rectangular shaped. I've left a photo for it.

A man called me from an unknown number at 7:30 PST saying that he found this. But never left me any contact info. He said he would leave it there so my relatives could pick it up the next day to bring it home to me. If you could help me in anyway, it would be greatly appreciated!
