Have a friend from back East who will be staying at the MGM in mid Oct. I will meet her there for a short time. Need suggestions for lunch and things to do within walking distance.

You have many choices, from many restaurants in the hotel, and several large casino hotels in the area. Look on the web and they list them there.

The new Hooters is going in right across Tropicana from the MGM. :rolleyes:

We like to lunch at Jimmy Buffet's (on same side of street as MGM and within walking distance). It's a bit overpriced, but a fun place to hang out for an hour or two.

What do you want to spend? The NYNY across from the MGM has several neat places that are good for lunch. Not terribly expensive.

The Rainforest Cafe inside MGM is fun for lunch . . . NYNY right across has ESPN Sportszone, an Irish Pub, a NY Deli, and several other spots . . . . .With the monorail, you can be anywhere in 20 or 30 minutes, so the sky is the limit . . .
