comp rooms

I live in the U.K. and have been to most of the strip hotels spending enough at the tables to have some room nights or at least a lot of my meals comped. My question is why do I never get any offer of comped rooms in my mail. Is it because we live so far away that the hotels can't be bothered?

We have gone to some riverboats that were quite a distance from our home and got very little or nothing from them. Sometimes it depends on the casino you are playing in.

I am not an expert on mailed comp offers, but I do know from reading many Vegas boards for many years that our friends from Canada complain of not getting any offers mailed to them from Las Vegas. I would take it from these complaints that casinos in Las Vegas do not (as a rule) mail offers out of the United States.
I do not know why, perhaps if any casino marketing personel are reading these boards they could tell us. :confused:

I am constantly receiving special hotel rates in the mail and I live in Canada, I wonder if it just depends on which hotels you use your slot card and how much you spend and maybe how many times you visit Vegas. This year we went in May and Aug and the hotels are sending us specials non-stop

We live in Canada and we do get offers in the mail and via e-mail. If you have a Harrahs card, go to there web site and sign up for their e-mail program, if you have any offers from them you will see them there. We also get offers from the IP,Paris/Ballys, Mgm/Mirage. Bit not from any Boyd properties or Mandalay Bay group properties.

Most, if not all of the mailings I get from casinos come pre-printed with a postage paid stamp. I would think that postage to Canada and overseas would be more expensive. Seems reasonable they would not send lower rollers as many run-of-the-mill mailers.
