Hi, my husband and I are coming to LV again this Nov. and I was wondering if anybody knows a good place to drink, hear good music, maybe dance a little, party all night, but....We're not in our 20's! Nor do we want to be with 20 year olds. Where's a good place for us 40/50 year olds to go?

I'm another Cindy - and hubby and I just had the signficant 5-0 last this year. Even though Mandalay Bay has the reputation of young crowd, we felt comfortable at the lounge that has the sushi at the bar (the name escapes me, it's at the back of the casino, close to the Red Square bar) They have a dance floor, great live music, no cover charge, no line to get in. There was a mix of ages there.
I've heard the Fontana Bar at the Bellagio is great for this too - perhaps more upscale, quieter type of atmosphere (and great view of the fountains)
I'd like to hear other suggestions!

Thank you Cindy for your suggestion to go to Mandalay Bay. We'll certainly check it out. We usually stay at Bellagio, so we've been to the Fontana bar, it is very nice, upscale and at times quiet, just looking for something different. This place you mentioned at Mandalay Bay sounds perfect, my hubby loves sushi :) I'm sure we'll find it...whatever the name is!

Brendan's Pub at the Orleans has great FREE entertainment on Mondays (after Mon. Nt. Football) until around 2am and Tuesdays from 9:30pm - 1:30am. It features the "Frankie Moreno Band", who plays at the Hilton during the rest of the week and "Harry Shahoian", an Elvis impersonator, who may actually be as good as Elvis, himself. Many talented singers drop by and join the fun on the stage. We've seen some American Idol contestants there from the TV Show (several times) as well as Buddy Holly impersonators, Doors impersonators, etc. You never know who will show up. Check out Frankie Moreno's website (www.frankiemoreno.com) and Harry's website (www.harryaselvis.com). You can also hear some clips and see some videos there. It's some of the best FREE entertainment off the strip! Catch Frankie while you get a chance. He may make it big very shortly and then you'll have to pay big bucks to see him.
