Hi Everyone

I would like to personally welcome everyone who has signed up for the Everything Las Vegas Forum group :)

It looks like this will be a lot of fun to do.

This Forum is for members that have a question they would like to have answered but I will also allow general questions to be posted also.

EX:
"What is your favorite casino?"
"What is you favorite table game?'
"Las Vegas Meets"

I will not allow advertisements of any type on these boards. I also will not allow any abusive posts or comments. If any member sees this type of post, you can report it by clicking on the triangular icon in the upper right corner of the post.

Also please let Hunter and I know what else you would like to see at the Forums. Your input will always be appreciated.

But the main thing is to have fun :o

Thanks, Steve, for starting this forum. Have been a member of the LVA forum since it began about five or six years ago but seldom post there anymore because of all the political bickering, the ever increasing amount of non-Vegas related threads, and the forum being turned into a personal chat room for a select few at times. Looking forward to seeing a "strictly Vegas" forum for a change.

Dear Steve,
This will be a new experience for us as we've never entered a forum before, but we are avid readers of your newsletter and are frequent Las Vegas visitors. We're looking forward to learning something from your readers' responses to questions and , hopefully, provide a few insights ourselves.
Thank you to you and Hunter for setting this up.

Hi Steve,

This is a great idea!! I am a frequent visitor of Vegas and always love to hear about new experiences and keep updated of new shows. We normally stay at the Rio (because they have fantastic comps and give us great (free) suites. I would like to hear about alternatives as well. Thanks for the opportunity to socialize with other Vegas Lovers!!

I would like to see some locals opinions on what machines pay the best and where they are located.

I've lived here 25 years and except for back in 1983 when I worked for IGT and had insider knowledge, I've never been able to figure out where is the best place to play.

Hope to see lots of replies to this post.

I'm really impressed with the new look of things and they are so much easier to read with larger print. Oh, I wanted to add my 2 cents to the earlier question - I also like some kind of marker between stories on the newsletter. It makes it easier for me to jump back and forth between the newsletter and whatever else I happen to be doing.

I also enjoy Gayle Mitchell's information on the new slot machines, but this is a question about online slots. Do you or the other members know of any sites that give you Las Vegas style slots free of charge (Hey, I'm saving it for my next trip to LV!). I wonder if anyone has any other suggestions? Many thanks!

Steve great site. Thanks for starting this!!! Will there be a separate board for trip reports or should we post them here?

As I mentioned, I am considering moving the Members Corner over to the Forum groups and with the amount of posts and participation of a lot of our members in this Forum, I am leaning towards doing just that.

The only problem I see is that I believe you all would have to resign up for the Members Corner Forum as you did for this one.

On the possitive side, this would alleviate the backlog of submissions I have for the Members Corner and articles will be posted as soon as they are sent in.

Hope, you really don't want to "delete" a thread as they change constantly. There are new answers/comments popping up on threads all the time. I am a member of another semi-Vegas related board and love it there but will come here to hopefully offer my knowledge of all things Vegas!! And a big hello to all from the "other board"!! LOL! Hopefully I'll get to know you all on this new board as well!!

We have visited the IP more since your suggestions but the hubby is still leary on staying there but he sure likes to gamble there. Our son and his wife were treated great there last month by the dealertainers and we have great memories of the discussions about some of the table mates! So thanks again for starting this. Steve, I've been a member of your newsletter for some time now, and have really appreciated all the hard work you put into it. This forum is a GREAT idea!!!

Do you think you would be able to break down the Members Helping Members topic into separate topics - i.e. hotels, dining, etc. That would make it really easy to locate the info one might need.

Yes we are considering it.

In the meantime there is a SEARCH option at the top of the page that might save you some time. These Forums are new to me also and I am having a lot of fun experimenting with all the tools that are available to us. The FAQ option may be helpful also. ;)

Also there is a NEW POST option that will bring up all the topics that have a new post in them.

I personally want to thank everyone for the positive comments you have posted. There has been a lot of time invested into these boards (mostly by Hunter) to make them as fun as possible.

There are a few issues:
1- Please do not post any links that advertise online casinos or anything to do with online gambling.

2- Please try to start a new thread for a new topic. I have seen questions posted in threads that have nothing to do with the main theme of the thread.
EX: There is a thread about Tips...there will be maybe 4 posts about Tips and then there would be a post about the weather..which is off-topic. Not only is it off topic, the flow of the main topic is thrown off and the thread goes off in different directions.

3- Please do not post personal links or link to sites that contain advertising except if it has to deal with the topic of the thread.
EX: There was a post asking about coupons. Posting a link to a coupon site is ok but posting one to a site where coupons have to be purchased is not allowed.

4- No post that would be considered either adult or sexual in nature.

5- No posts advertising an event unless permission is given by either myself or Hunter.

We may add Forums where some of the above mentioned posts can be put into at a later date, but for now, the above posting limits must be followed.

Other than that....Have FUN.

Steve

I'm not sure, If I've sent you this info or not but If you go to www.VegasResource.com and click on the coupon link, you will find a 2 for 1 coupon for the Scintas. There is a charge for shipping and handling on the coupons, but a small outlay to save $65 is a pretty good deal I think. :D

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Bob at the Imperial Palace for helping me get what I hope will be a birthday celebration to end all birthday celebrations off the ground. I have a birthday the day after Thanksgiving--I am one of the baby boomers who is a baby no longer and many of my friends were born in the same year. About a year ago, we all said it would be awesome to spend our birthdays in Vegas as a group, inviting friends, other family members, basically anyone who wanted to tag along. Since I seem to be the one who has to get the ball rolling, I decided we would do it around MY birthday!! I wrote to Steve here at Everything LV and asked for ideas, suggestions, etc. He suggested Bob at the Imperial Palace and well, the ball is slowly starting to roll.

I have sent out the first of what will probably be many emails telling everyone who THOUGHT this was such a great idea that as far as I am concerned, it IS a great idea and that they need to get their acts together and sign up!!

SO, a huge thank you to Steve and Bob for all their help so far. I think this is going to be fantastic!!

PS--I have never stayed at the IP before, last time was at the MGM (I think it took us two days to figure out how to get outside) and am looking forward to this!

Thanks guys!!:D

Just returned from Vegas...Great time...Loved Barry Manilow, and Menopause was a scream from start to finish...Disappointed to see so many of the "Old Fashioned Keno Machines" being removed! Everyone seems to be going to "ticket in ticket out GameKing" machines...Do te Locals know where I should be going? Even Stateline ..Buff. Bills, W. Pete's, and Primm....have removed ALL of them~! That is all I play when I come to town...Help me out! Still found some of the coin feeders downtown...Thanks for any and all suggestions as to where I should go next trip to town...:o

You can find some of the good old Keno machines at Sams Town(second level) and at Stardust. I play at Sams Town most of the time with good success. Hope that helps you

p.s. I hate the new Game King machines also..I will play 4-card keno on them..but thats about it.

There was still a bank of them (maybe ten 25 cent machines) at the Sahara earlier this month. They were located just to the right as you're facing the Keno lounge.

Thanks for starting up this site. We go to Vegas at least once a year. Sometimes if possible we're there twice a year. Love that town.

Going this year in Sept. Usually stay where ever we get comped. This trip will be at TI for 3 nights and possibly MGM or Fitz for another 2 nights.

Love downtown, but will stay on the strip when the rooms are free.......

Will be checking in here often.

Thanks so much for giving us this forum. It takes a lot of work to do this, and I am among the many who appreciate it. I will be checking it frequently, especially just before we leave for our December trip. We haven't been to Vegas for health reasons for the last couple of years, so we feel like newbies almost. We used to go at least 4 times a year and have missed it so much. I have enjoyed your newletter for almost a year now...got bored with LVA site...and look forward to visiting here lots and lots.
