After reading the account of the Chippendales event in Lubbock,Texas, I just have to set the record straight.
Lubbock is NOT in North Texas. Here in Dallas we call our area and north to the Oklahoma line North Texas. Texas is divided into at least 9 different areas - North Texas, East Texas, South Texas, Coastal Region, the Valley, Central Texas, West Texas, the Panhandle, and Big Bend Country.
Lubbock is in West Texas and is a 5 to 6 hour drive from Dallas. To us locals, West Texas starts at Fort Worth. LOL
No offense to you, Steve. You were just quoting some else. But it is comical to read accounts of our Great State by journalists from other regions of the U.S. They just don't get how big Texas is.
