This is sort of old but maybe you can still get some good info from it!

Flight-US Airways, nonstop, everything went fine. We ran late getting to the return flight and just made it but unfortunately we got home!
Rental Car-Dollar, Fastlane member, worked perfectly. Have the prepaid gas option in my profile so they did that but it really wasn’t a good option this trip as we didn’t drive a whole lot.
Hotel-Golden Nugget, awesome, we really enjoyed.it, we decided it was classy without being snobby. The pool was great, never really crowded. I liked how they had cold water that you could go get yourself. We were in the south tower and while it was a bit of a hike the exercise did us good! We were able to get a refrigerator for our room, no cost and no questions about whether it was for medicine or not. This may have been due to the fact that when we checked in at 11 pm there was a line and only one counter person working.
Food-I can’t remember everything we ate but here are some of the highlights.
We did the breakfast buffet at the Nugget one of the mornings, we used a coupon they gave us at check-in. It was good, normal breakfast buffet especially for the price. ($7.51 for 2 of us)
We also did the seafood buffet at the Fremont on Friday night using the LVA coupon. We got there right around 4 and there was a short line. I wish the crab legs would’ve been hot, or at least room temperature! It seemed like the crab legs and lobster claws were still almost frozen. Maybe we were just there too early. Other than that everything was good and we only paid around $17 for the two of us.
Saturday night before the Seinfeld show we ate at that food court thing at Caesars. We were sort of confused at what to do at first but figured it out. Ok, sort of expensive. I got a stromboli from the pizza place and I think my husband got some sort of wrap.
Great Moments Room-We ate here for our anniversary on Sunday the 14th. Our reservation was for 8. We really enjoyed it. Good service although it did take a while at first for our waiter to come by. We got an appetizer of stuffed mushrooms, a bottle of wine, I got a filet and my husband got a fish dish (halibut). Everything was really good. We used the entertainment card and our bill was a little over $60. The original bill was $88. We left $80 and were happy. I didn’t finish all of my meal so we got it wrapped to go and it made a good snack the next day!!
Shows-Jerry Seinfeld at Caesar’s, very funny, totally different show than when we saw him in West Virginia a couple of years ago. I guess he tailors the show to the audience. Boy was it crazy when the show let out! I can’t imagine gambling there and having that happen every night w/ Celine. We got a couple of drinks at the Shadow bar before the show and I was able to use my Caesars connection comp slips from my credit card so I was happy about that.
Gambling-I’m not exactly sure how I did gambling since all of my money is together but I didn’t hit anything big this time. I played a lot at Claude’s Bar at the GN, especially in the mornings while I had Bailey’s & Coffee. They had 8/5 BP so I played that mostly but also saw this other game, 10’s or better poker. It paid 4700 coins for a royal and two pair returned even coins. Also a full house was 50 coins and a flush was 35 (w/ 5 in). I don’t know how good this was, but I was hitting it pretty good after a while. I probably wasn’t playing the right strategy either but tried to figure it out! I mostly played VP everywhere we went and also the penny and nickel games. These killed me, I could never get the bonus rounds!! I did have one really good session at 8/5 BP while playing at Claude’s bar while watching the Steeler game Monday evening. I got my first ever straight flush and not long after that I got quads so I was up to 400 credits or so but I kept playing and ended up cashing out my original $20. At least I didn’t lose it!! I also played some blackjack w/ my husband. Saturday morning we played at the GN since they had a $5 table. They raised it to $10 while we were playing but grandfathered us in which was nice. We both won about $25 there. We also played one night at the El Cortez. This was our anniversary night and after our big meal we went back to the room and napped, LOL! We got up around midnight and made our way down Fremont stopping in some places and then ended up at the El Co. We got on a $3 table together after a while and played all night!! I think it was starting to get light out when we left there. I had bought in for $100 & cashed out $83, playing all night for $17 isn’t too bad. I also tipped out of that money too.
My husband made some money gambling although I’m not sure how much. He played the table games mostly but made most of his money sports betting on baseball and football.
Misc.-We visited the Cannery on Sunday morning. I didn’t do too well there, losing about $50 on VP and miscellaneous slots. On the way back from there we stopped at a Denny’s to get something to eat and then went to the Speedway casino since it was right there. It’s a very small casino and we were 2 out of maybe 10 customers! Lost $20 on blackjack and then went to play the twilight zone slot. Still couldn’t get a bonus but played for 20 minutes or so on $5 and cashed out my $5.
The first morning at the nugget my husband went to check out the gym. I was going to meet him until he called and said they charge $15 a day. He did it but it wouldn’t have been worth it for me since I just use the treadmill. He was able to use some swimtrunks while there since we had forgotten his and they said he could just buy them which he did b/c it was only about $18 which was better than the gift shop. They never ended up charging us for them. Yay!!
The first night we went and checked out the new complex by Lady Luck. We went into the Hogs & Heifers bar and it was pretty lame. It was after midnight on a Thursday so I don’t know if that had anything to do w/ it.
We also got to do some things on my ‘list of things to do’: After the Seinfeld show we went to Harrahs to check out Toby Keith’s bar. There was a country band playing and beers were $6 each!!! I supposed it would’ve been fun if you really liked country music but we just sort of like it. I just wanted to see it. Then we went to see Wynn, we just walked down from Harrahs. There are some places where it’s pretty dicey to walk b/c of the construction. Wynn was nice, really pretty. We went to the car place and it was closed but the gift store was open and you could see the cars. We played some video blackjack and got drinks from the waitress even though we were only playing a quarter a two at a time. I like how they carry around bottled water, I had thought of it after ordering and when she brought us our drinks and I asked her for one she was just able to give it to me right there. After Wynn, we went down to the Peppermill to check it out. It’s pretty cool, we got some big drink to share that I think is one of their specials. And we just ordered a appetizer. We were in the bar area.
My husband drinks Jim Beam but we noticed a lot of places don’t have it and they substitute Jack. Who knows how many times he asked for a Beam and Coke only to really be drinking a Jack and Coke!! LOL!!!
Thanks for reading
