Will be in vegas next week and since cigarettes have gone up by $1.00 a pack here.I am wondering what they run for in Vegas. My wife is the smoker and she smokes generic brands.

I appreciate any replies.

The generic brands might be cheaper at you local 7-11
by the carton...they are here in Calif.
Smokes at a normal store in Vegas shouldn't be any more
expensive than at home...the casinos will charge more. Take
a carton with ya, theres no real advantage buyin' 'em in there...
SMOKE 'EM IF YA GOT 'EM.

A few years back, Wild, Wild West Casino sundry store sold cigarettes cheaper than any casino. It's on Tropicana, just west of I-15.

You might try the gift store at Gold Coast as I checked their liquor prices and found those to be the best prices around.

There aren't any real cigarette discount stores around Las Vegas that I've found. So, bring 'em from home and, at least, you'll know your cost.

Greg, the other one.

Greg may be right. 4 years ago before I gave them up, they were less expensive at the sundry store at the Gold Coast.

If you've got a car, there's an indian reservation north of Vegas where you could stock up pretty cheap.

Just a thought.

If you've bought cigs at a grocery or drug store in Vegas over a month ago, you'll be suffering from sticker shock on your next trip. They've gone up anywhere from $1 to $1.50 due to actual price increases, and now state taxes.

I bought a pack of Virgina Slims at Caesars - $7.49.

The only place I know for sure is Caesar's, not in the variety store but in the cigar shop. With the prices going up now you are better off bringing them from home--but it's good to know if you run out:)

My son and his wife have been paying $8 a pack for cigs in Chicago for quite a while. Guess they are close to $10 now.

They are $54 a carton in Texas.

I only smoke in Vegas but I was mortified to by a mack of Marlboro Lights for $7.00 from a machine at the El Cortez, yet, I passed a window looking out to a liquor store across the street and saw the same cigs for $5.00.

Oh well, I guess it was a convienience fee.

Nlalley has the best advice on smokes in Vegas. PAIUTES! I did drive E on Fremont and found a grungy lil smoke shop that sold me generics for $3.50 and gave me a free lighter. The E Fremont area is an interesting mix of what it was like when there was only Downtown. Prolly won't do that again. I bring a carton from home but ran out. COUGH.

I order cigs from an Indian Tribe in New York (I live in Kansas). Brand I purchase is called Seneca and they are not bad. Cost is $21.10 a carton and $1.90 shipping per carton. Have dealt with them for over a year and never a problem. Must provide proof of birthdate with first order. Anyone interested in the website?

That's interesting, I didn't realize they were in the mail order business.Do you get name brands for that price?
I live near the Seneca Reservation in Western NY. I know several people around here who not only go to the res for cigarettes but also for gas. NY state has some of the highest gas, and tobacco taxes, in the country...all their products are tax free.
Incidentally, the Senecas run 3 Las Vegas type casinos here and are building a 3rd in Buffalo.

The $21.10 and $1.90 per carton applies when buying 10 cartons at one time. My hubby and I both smoke, so that is not a problem for us.

Website is : http://www.threefeatherstobacco.com/

Like I said, I have never been disappointed and have never not received what I ordered. This place is in New York and I think I remember reading somewhere, they would not ship to an address anywhere in the state of New York (got to be some stupid rule somewhere).
