I have a choice of several different hotels, can any of you share which hotels check room keys at the pool? I am thinking MGM, Monte Carlo, Mirage, Bellagio, Venetian, Caesars...I know Mandalay Bay checks for room keys, right?
Thanks in advance for the info....

I know the Mirage does...was turned away from there once because I wasn't a guest.

MGM Grand does . . . . Why are you asking? Hoping they keep the riff raff out of yours, or wanting to crash another? ;)

Hoping to find a pool that's nice/decent and not too overcrowded...It wasn't fun in Mandalay's wave pool worrying that 10 other people were going to plow into me due to the intesity of the waves and overcrowded conditions. I was there in the summer, though, so I guess every pool would be packed to the gills at that time...

MGM Grand has multiple pools, including the lazy river.

There's plenty of room to spread out.

Keep in mind though that some of the pools will be closed this late in the season.

We stay at the Flamingo because if the pools. On our last trip we rented a cabana, and had a great day lounging by the pool.

By experience The Sunset, Wynn & Hard Rock does. The Hard Rock not only checks for room keys, but they frequently (probably weekly) change the picture on the keys so they know the time frame they are good for. We stayed there once; we went back a month later (with our key) to show his buddy what the pool looked like, and he almost got thrown out. He told them our room number, and securtiy told him that the key was a month old.

Almost all Strip hotels do.

Mandalay checks EACH GUEST while most hotels check per group of guests. For Mandalay, each person must have a key. No going in with your friends if you're not staying there.
