Six couples are going to Vegas next week, and my brother in law is the only one who is not big on gambling (my poor sister). Any suggestions on things to do and see without spending a lot of money.. he loves to walk, so I was looking for some itineraries, for example where to start???- the Bellagio fountain show, the volcano, the pirate show (if that's still at TI). Isn't there a car museum at Imperial? Is it expensive? I would love to give him a list of things to do to keep him from standing behind us with his hands in his pockets :D

Here is a link to the LasVegas Advisor attractions page. Scroll down to bottom for free ones. http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/referenceguide-activities.cfm Be sure to check thru the whole list because some free atctivites are under different headings. Also it shows the carshow at Imperial Palace is 6.95, but I think they pass out tickets in front of the casino.

If you rent a car, he can take a short ride out to Red Rock Canyon and spend the day there walking, hiking, and really seeing beautiful nature scenes. Well worth the twenty minute or less ride.

There are quite a few free sites to see:
Bellagio fountains, Bellagio conservatory & choc. fountain, Mirage Volcano, TI Sirens, Atlantis Statue show in Caesars, Elvis show in Barbary Coast, MGM Lion Habitat, Flamingo Wildlife Habitat, Golden Nugget..largest gold nugget, Freemont St. Laser Light Experience, neon museum, Rio masquerade and stage show: just to name a few. Just walking around seeing the different themed casinos are worth it! The sites that charge under $20.00 are all worth it! Check them out!

In addition to the excellent ideas above, I'd suggest the gods show at Caesar's every hour, Airplay at Tropicana over the slot area, Masquerade Village at Rio (free shuttle from Harrah's), Sam's Town light and water show (another free shuttle from Harrah's), and, although they do charge admissions, Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum - so much fun! Also Sigfried & Roy's Habitat - an entry fee, but worth it.

Have a great trip!

Hope

Go to http://www.travel2vegas.com - forum on shows and entertainment -first message (sticky message they call it) is a permanent message on what to see and do at all of the casinos.

The list itself is long and it lists a lot of inexpensive/free things to see and do at each casino.

I printed it out and used it on my trip last week. I found it really helpful.
