'Steve'...there's a post on LVA in re. to Harrah's might not renew
Erocktica, Clint Holmes, and the Scintas contracts at some point...
...any truth to this or just a rumor?...said they read it in your newsletter.

I could care less what they do with Greg Thompson's Erocktica, but
Clint Holmes and Scintas would be a loss until they found new homes...
...and I'm sure they would (at least Holmes)
Scintas mentioned the renewal of their new contract, so maybe it
it is all rumor.....any update?

It does say that in the most recent newsletter. I hope it is not true.

"Las Vegas Showroom rumors are that the Harrah's/Rio organization will be revamping it's entire shows schedule. Sources say Clint Holmes and The Scinta's are soon out and Erocktica who is currently "on hiatus", won't be back."

During the summer my daughter saw the Scintas and the contract business came up. She said the Scintas assured everyone that they would be back and laughed at the idea of leaving.
As for Clint Holmes, since his cancer surgery and divorce, he doesn't quite have the pizzazz that he had. I saw his show before his crises and after. I thought the show before was better. You know, he could get moved to another Harrahs property. Remember Earl Turner? He moved to Harrahs in New Orleans. However, since Clint was so instrumental in the production of the music at the 100 birthday bash, his credits have gone up quite a bit in Vegas and he has a great band. Another property may be giving him the eye with more bucks.
 Erocktica? Who are they? Just kidding. Never seen them and have no desire to. If they leave, I'll never know the difference. At least we won't have to look at those gaudy posters of them when walk in from the Valley View side.

Awww, the politics of Vegas Showbiz...always the 'positive face' from
the performers, personal issue rumors, corporations wanting to keep
their shareholders happy, introducing new young talent for the new
young demographic...
I do like the Erocktica 'poster' however....
The show might not be your cup of tea 'sonntex' (and it is terrible) but
that poster is hot and very deceiving. I knew a Greg Thompson production
was probably a looser but the poster put me over the top and I saw it...
...tooooooo bad, my mistake! LOL

Hey, Gregrio, you're a man. My hubby probably likes those Erocktica exposes, too. Us females just have different tastes.

Agree with you about the happy face put on by the Scintas. Probably PR.

At this point, it does not look like any of the Headliner contracts will be extended once they expire.

Why? Just another of Harrah's many unexplainable corporate decisions.

Now I know the Clint Holmes and The Scintas fill at least 85% of their respective showrooms on a nightly basis. (Note:This is taking in account the 2 for 1 coupons) Plus you have to remember that Harrah's renamed their showrooms for these headliners.

These are two of the best shows in Las Vegas so I can't understand why they wouldn't be continued but then again......Harrah's.

I also have a hunch that Mac King might be getting a major push into the main showroom somewhere down the road.
