I Didn't See It But I Heard It In The Bathroom. A Gal Was Masturbating In The Next Stall. I Got Out Of There Real Fast!!

#1-jet lag has never been a problem for us even though it's a 3 hour difference in time-when you are in vegas you get so wired you stay up
late the first night & then you are fine-granted we wake up at 7am in
vegas since it's 10am at home-
#3-we feel the only way you can live in vegas is to be away from vegas,
especially if you have any sort of gambling problem-sometimes we feel that
vegas is a very sad town to live in-maybe we are wrong-
#5-heats never a problem-you walk from an air conditioned car to an air
conditioned casino-its true about the dry heat-its not so bad & you can

Jet lag has never been a problem for me in Vegas. it's only a two hour time change, but I never stick to a time schedule while there anyway. I eat when I'm hungry, I sleep when I'm tired and I play the rest of the time!
#2:
My father jumping out of the card to collect business cards for me. I collect cards and several years ago we saw several cards stuck on a long row of newspaper machines. I was driving in the ever soooooo slow traffic on the strip so I asked dad if he'd get out and get me some cards for my collection. As he was grabbing cards as quickly as he could I had to laugh as I wondered what the other drivers must be thinking. :D
#3:
My wife is not a fan of Las Vegas, however my Dad lives out there in Henderson. But,God forbid, if something ever happened to my wife and I couldn't convince my dad to move to Tennessee, I'd go out there to take care of him.
#4:
Not being single I wouldn't know, but, God forbid, if anything ever happened to my wife, I'll go out there and check it out and report back. ;)
#5:
No the heat doesn't bother me, most of the time is spent in an air conditioned home, car or casino, so it really doesn't matter what the weather is.

Do you have trouble with jet lag either when arriving in LV or arriving back home?
Only if I take the midnight flight east to Boston from LV.
Question #2:
What is the oddest/strangest/funniest sight you have seen in LV?
I recall a wealthy acquaintance living in Las Vegas who gave his favorite waitress a $5,000 tip. Only to return the next day and asking her to return it as he lost big that night. Thankfully... she refused.
Question #3:
What would be like to retire and move to Vegas.
I would love it ... but only part of the year. I miss the ocean in summer.
Question #4:
Where are some good places for older singles to meet?
I'm single and have discovered that Las Vegas is a male oriented city. The best opportunity is via the Internet dating but extra filtering is required.
Question #5:
What about the heat in Las Vegas... do you love the heat? Do you visit during special months because of the heat or wait until the Las Vegas winter?
I AVOID visiting in during summer heat. You can survive it but it's not fun if you enjoy walking everywhere as I do.

Question #1:
Do you have trouble with jet lag either when arriving in LV or arriving back home?
A. Yes, though I'd call it "Vegas lag" since I only live one time zone away. I've taken to using sleeping pills and melatonin for sleepy time and caffeine for "wakey" time when I return -- until my schedule returns back close to normal.
Question #5:
What about the heat in Las Vegas... do you love the heat? Do you visit during special months because of the heat or wait until the Las Vegas winter?
A. I'm from TX orig, so I kind of like the heat -- esp since it's a dry heat, but I don't go out of my way to schedule during hotter months. I usually have a different reason for scheduling (companion's availability, poker tourneys, etc)

I retired 3 yrs ago and moved to las Vegas and love it !!!! Most visitors who come to Vegas only go on the Strip. I live in the NW Valley with lovely mountain views. There is always something to do. They are very senior friendly out here. Many senior community centers with lots of activities, cards, bingo, exercise classes. free college courses in computers, jewelry design, etc.
The weather is great so you don't have to be a shut in the house. My mother who is in her mid 80's came out here and just loved it. We took her all around and she is wheel chair bound, but she could always sit outside and not be shut in. Vegas weather is so condusive to getting out there and walking. Our neighborhood group walks 3 miles every morning and it is so invigorating to see the morning skies of pinks and purples and the stark beauty of the mountains. What a breathtaking sight. I also do volunteer work at many local centers. The local casinos are really family based. they have movies compleses, bowling, bingo, arcades and Kids Quest (babysitting service for children 2 mo. to 12 yrs old) which is closely supervised.
So don't just think of the Strip as Vegas, it has many neighborhoods just like any other town.

Q1 Do not have trouble with jet lag. Before retiring, I did a great deal of traveling by air and I think my body kust be acclimatged to flying.
Q2 A couple of years ago while driving on Paradise Road I saw a very lovely gal, could have been a model, walking very casually without a top or bra, I almost had an accident, but she just smiled and waved.
Q3 I moved to Vegas shortly after I retired 16 years ago and have never regretted my decision, it is just a great place to retire.
Q4 Wish I knew.
Q5. I don't love the heat, but manage to get by during hot summer by living in an air conditioned world, i.e., leave my air conditioned apartment, get into my air conditioned car, and drive to my favorite air conditioned casino {Santa Fe} and spend the hotest part of the day there.

I moved out to Vegas 3 years ago, and found that the hot summer months can be dealt with. When I lived on the East Coast during the hot humid months I would not go outside.
In Vegas, with the hot drier heat I still stick the same principle, but since everything is air conditioned, I can bear up to the heat better. I walk early in the morning with my neighborhood group at 6:30 AM before the hot sun bears down. The hottest part of the day is from noon to 5 PM.
Some visitors from the East Coast came out in August and asked me how can you bear this heat. Since they all are still employed and work I replied that I handle it no different than I would have in NJ. You would not be out in the sun during the day unless you were at the shore (beach) At night we can sit out without the misery of those darn mosquitoes biting at you. We have a mister system which sprays lite mists of water when we are on the patio and the weather is hot.

1. Jet lag - what jet lag? Never happens when we arrive. How come the trip home is always quicker than the trip to Las Vegas?
2. Two strange sights -- several years ago at The Bellagio, saw a fellow with the most outrageous mohawk imaginable. I wanted to ask him what he put on it to keep it from falling. The spikes must have been 8" high. Other strange sight, on a flight home from Vegas, young lady sitting next to me had been attending a Nail (as in fingernails) Convention. She had the longest fingernails I've ever seen. They actually curled around and were so long it was freaky. I asked her how she put jewelry on and buttoned buttons. She showed me how with her thumbs. Yikes!!
3. Retire in Vegas -- You betcha; would do so in a heartbeat if I could convince hubby, despite the heat in the Summer. Would probably visit one or two casinos once a week. All our gambling buddies would come for visits.:)
4. Haven't a clue as to where older singles mingle.
5. We do visit in the Summer and even though it's a "dry heat," it's hotter than you-know-what. Returning home to Florida, our humidity feels like heaven after spendng a week in the heat in Vegas.

Q1- Yes, jet lag can be a problem, if I let it. I, too, am from the east coast, (Bflo, NY), my eyes would see 10 pm and my mind would tell me 1 am. The eyes win.
Q3 I WOULD LOVE TO MOVE TO VEGAS. Since my brother already lives there..but I would have to have (1) a job & (2) a place to live, I wouldn't want to intrude on my brother and his family.
Q5 As far as the heat goes, I would suck it up. I would probably be at work all day, but at night it would be nice to sit outside and watch the sunset without being mosquito food. Winter in Bflo,ny to winter in Vegas? which would you choose (vegas, of course).

Q1 Do not have trouble with jet lag.
Yes, for some reason I personally always do. Takes me a day and a half to catch up getting there and almost a week to acustom myself coming back. But I always stay for almost 2 weeks when I go.
Q2 What is the oddest/strangest/funniest sight you have seen in LV?
I always used to see this handicapped fellow in front of O'shays or Harrahs every year I went. And I mean for a lot of years. He was so sad looking with no legs and just stubs for hands and arms. I always put a little something in his cup. And then one Sunday on 60 minutes...they did a whole segment all about him. He lives in a million dollar home and all day long teams of people came by and emptied his cup and fixed him up. It was a quite an operation. Thing is...I havnt seen him the last 2 years now. Wonder if he's still around?
Question #3:
What would be like to retire and move to Vegas.
I could do it I think but my wife I believe would put everything we owned into the slot machines. Were not moving there any time soon.
Question #4:
Where are some good places for older singles to meet?
Not sure about the rest of you but we always have a ball at the tiki bar between Oshays and Harrahs. We are always dancing with other single couples and having some of the best times in Vegas there.
Question #5:
What about the heat in Las Vegas... do you love the heat? Do you visit during special months because of the heat or wait until the Las Vegas winter?
We like to go in October. The weather is perfect. 70-85 during the day and 50-60 at night. Never need to pack anything more than a light jacket.

there is no place that I'm aware of. But there should be! Everything is geared toward the 20 something crowd. My boyfriend works security at one such place, and he told me he'd never go there for pleasure on his night off. The crowd is just too young and and roudy for him.
I've gone to the Voodoo Lounge already, and had a great time, but I went with older folks. There are a few shows that cater to the older crowd: Scintas, Earl Turner, Forever Plaid (Plaid Tidings for the Holidays), and I'm sure many more, but I haven't seen them yet.
So, if somebody is reading this newsletter, and looking for a new idea for a future MONEYMAKING venture, you've just been given one!

Wow, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that he's that wealthy, but man! Yes, he's still out there, at least he was around this time last year. I certainly don't begrudge him being wealthy from pan-handling though. I'm sure he lost his legs in Vietnam or something, and he's earned it IMO.
As for the Other questions:
#1-Yes, I get jet lag on the return trip, or maybe it has more to do with the erratic Vegas schedule. Never a problem in Vegas though!
#2-I agree with Bushay
#3-I think I'd like it, there are alot of perks. My father-in-law retired there and is taking advantage of the free classes offered at UNLV (to any resident over 60 who's lived there a minimum of a year), is substitute teaching and enjoys playing in a poker tournament or two every week. He loves it!
#4-Don't know
#5-The heat doesn't bother me that much, I'm not out in it long enough. I must say that we stayed at IP one year in July, and without landscaping, the pavement by the pool was too hot to walk on without shoes (you had to wear them to the edge of the pool). The exhaust fumes that hang over the strip in the summer bother me more than the heat.

#1: Jet Lag.....We fly in from Boston and generally arrive around 3pm L.V. time (3 hour difference) ...6pm Boston time. First night will call it quits around 11pm L.V. time which is 2am Boston time. Still awake at about 6am L.V. time and then for rest of week we are fine on L.V. time. No matter what or where, cannot sleep late, so we do not stay up crazy hours in the evening. 11pm to 12.

Question #1:
Not really a problem with jet lag just wore out from all the fun by the time we get home. The only "lag" problem I had was a couple years ago when we decided it would be fun to stay up all night the night before we left for Vegas and party. I was tired the whole trip. I realize now that I'm not that young anymore.Question #2:
Question "2
I have said it before but I saw a dwarf on a tricycle going through the casino at MGM.
Question #3:
I don't know what it would be like but I have imagined it many times. Waking early to enjoy the sunrise and taking walks in the beautiful weather, hubby and I going on day trips to the dessert and ghost towns etc...and of course, trying out different casinos and hopfully having the funds to experience the wonderful entertainment and dining.
Question #4:
I don't know but from what I've seen, almost anywhere on the stripQuestion #5:
I have been to LV when the temps were record breaking and it didn't bother me enough to affect any part of the trip.

do you like the feeling of a hot blow dryer on your face? Then you'll love Vegas in the summer. I never realized how the combination of wind and heat would affect me while walking from my car to my favorite casino. That's exactly what it feels like: a blow dryer on your face for the amount of time it takes you to get where you're going. but, I still love it here!
Please note, after experiencing 4 summers here, 60 degrees now feels cold in the winter. My body has evidently adjusted to the 117 degree summers!

1. Jet lag. It usually bothers me on the second day of my trip. I cant sleep the first night because im too excited about being in Vegas and it catches up with me. I need at least a day to recover from my trip. I always get some sort of cold when I get home.
Retiring to Vegas may be a possibility. I dont think relocating there when Im younger would be a good idea because of all the distractions Vegas has to offer.
The heat bothers me but I dont sit outside mid afternoon in August when its 115

Question #1:
Do you have trouble with jet lag either when arriving in LV or arriving back home? No. I hit the ground running.
Question #2:
What is the oddest/strangest/funniest sight you have seen in LV?
Absolutely nothing has struck me either way. Guess I don't hang out in the right (or wrong) places.
Question #3:
What would be like to retire and move to Vegas.
That would be my fantasy...yet family keeps me in Tennessee.
Question #4:
Where are some good places for older singles to meet?
Wouldn't know.
Question #5:
What about the heat in Las Vegas... do you love the heat? Do you visit during special months because of the heat or wait until the Las Vegas winter?
I plan my trip for late July and early August...especially because of the HEAT!
Usually I go to Death Valley first for a few days then head back to Vegas to absorb the heat while by the Bellagio pool. Love the heat!

Question #1:
Do you have trouble with jet lag either when arriving in LV or arriving back home?
The first time my boyfriend and I went to Vegas together I made the mistake of letting him be the man and lead the vacation; even though I'm the Vegas Queen and it was his first trip there. Well, we landed at 10:30 pm (1:30 am in Ohio) and instead of checking out our surroundings, grabbing a late night snack and hitting the sack- we stayed up ALL night playing craps, ate breakfast at the buffet at Paris (where he fell asleep at the table) and then we dragged ourselves back to the Mirage to go to bed. We slept until sunset and stayed up all night and into the next morning AGAIN and went to bed after breakfast. It was awful! I was completely turned around- I mistook some medications because I thought it was morning but it was really night - I actually took one prescription twice! I never felt like things were right. Not to mention that when we came home couldn't crawl out of bed before 2 pm for several days. When we go in January I'M taking control- AND I made sure our flight arrives in the morning.

1. jet lag
No - try to adjust my hours before going; when returning home, I'm tired from Vegas, but not jet lagged - 3 hr flight
3. What would be like to retire and move to Vegas?
Wish I knew - we're kinda planning on it - but recent posts make us wonder about health insurance prior to qualifying (by age) for Medicare
4. Where are some good places for older singles to meet?
sorry...married 36 years...haven't the foggiest
5. Do you love the heat? Do you visit special months because of the heat or wait until the Las Vegas winter?
Love the heat - no - but in Texas it gets well over 100 in the summer, and you can fry eggs on the sidewalks here, too - at least Vegas isn't humid!! Luckily, here in Austin, TX, mosquitos are not an issue. Our anniversary is in August, so we sometimes plan a trip to Vegas that month.
October is usually out - it's the nicest weather month here, too. We do, however, go to Vegas every December - for, or just before Christmastime - good weather, less crowded
..but hey, I'll use any excuse to go.....

Question #1:
Do you have trouble with jet lag either when arriving in LV or arriving back home?
Only when we get back home.
Question #2:
What is the oddest/strangest/funniest sight you have seen in LV?
The first time I took my wife (mostly male group), she was bothered by the game of who ever collected the most unique of the call girl cards. The second day, on the way to the convention, we were stuck in traffic. 2 little old ladies came out by the van and she overheard one ask the other, "Do you have this one?". That was the moment that my wife fel in love with the strip.
Question #3:
What would be like to retire and move to Vegas.
Mt. Charleston, Beaty or someplace higher up that stays cooler in the summer would be fantastic. We'd get away from these Indiana allergies. We've noticed through the decades that Vegas is getting bigger and people are planting things that irritate our allergies.
Question #4:
Where are some good places for older singles to meet?
Not applicatble
Question #5:

1. I have a little bit trouble with jet lag when I arrive in Vegas because I flight in from Germany and the time difference is 9 hours. But when Iīm in Vegas I forget the jet lag because I am too excited that and too happy. It is harder when I am back in Germany because there is not just the jet lag, but the sadness that I had to leave Las Vegas :(
2. There are many funny sights.
3. That would be sooo great. I just bought a book about Moving to Las Vegas and I love to read in it and dream.
4. I am not an older single, but I am sure that there are good places, anything is possible in Las Vegas.
5. I always visit Las Vegas in September/October and I like the heat. In Germany it is really cold and rainy in October, so I really enjoy the weather in Vegas. I donīt care about the heat because I hate winter.

#1: There's no such thing as "Jet Lag" I've been an 'on call' driver for over twenty years and any time is the right time in Vegas! But my lovely wife can arrive from Ct and manage to stay on a modified east coast schedule. I'm always hoping that she can stay awake past 11:00 but in vain. She also awakes "with the crows" while I'm still sleeping. I wish that she could turn the clock around and enjoy our vacation.
#2 The best 'Vegas Moment" was the time that I took my #2 son to Vegas for his 21th birthday present... While walking south on the strip around the Fashion Show mall there was a GORGEOUS babe ahead of us strolling down the sidewalk,we hustled through the crowd to get a glimpse of her.......when she turned around we saw that she must have been 85 years old. What a dissapointment, she was SOOOOOO good from behind!
#3 From the first time that I visited Las Vegas I thought that I would LOVE to retire there. I still do every time!
#4 Not single
#5 I usually try to hit L.V. around the 4th of july, I gues you can figure out that the heat doesn't bother me. I just got in from a round trip to Buffalo ,NY and there was a bit of Lake effect Snow about, and when I'm in Vegas I just think of how many miles of freezing rain or snow I have to travel to earn each fling at a craps table or slot machine and it all seems to balance out.
End of questions............... see ya................Paul

1. Although I live in New Jersey, (3 hr. difference), I don't get jet lag, however my husband seems to get affected by it and usually takes a nap for a couple hours then he's fine.
2. Haven't really seen a "funny sight". Just some "weird" looking people walking around LV.
3. My hubby and I talk about retiring to LV (or within the vicinity), but it's just talk. Don't think we'd actually do it.
4. Not single, but would still love to know where to go and enjoy music, drinks and dancing for "older" crowds!
5. Hate, hate, hate the heat! I go to LV usually in late fall, mid winter, or beginning of spring. I can't stand the heat, whether it's dry heat or not. If I were to ever move here, I'd be a hermit for the summer or move to the mountains....

Not "ha ha" funny, but one of the funniest things I experienced in Vegas was having to brush snow off of my rental car at my mother-in-law's house in Summerlin before I had to brush snow off of my own car back home in Chicago!
I experienced my first Vegas summer trip this past summer. The joke here about the dry heat is, "yeah, an oven is dry heat too." After experiencing it, there is a difference between the dry heat of Vegas and the humidity of Chicago. The heat in Vegas is stifling, but it is more tolerable than the 90 degrees plus with high humidity that we have at home.

#1 We usually get to Vegas around 1:00 PM, we are ready to bed by9:00 PST and then wake up at 4:00, this happens for two days. When I get home I can't get enough sleep, takes me a week to get back on track. But that is okay!
#2 One trip a family of many entered the elevator with everything but their kitchen sink. I am not kidding, bags of groceries, hot plates and what stood out were two dozen eggs grandma was carrying followed by a stoller and diaper bags. This was at TI. I could not believe they crammed onto the elevator with us already on it. They got off before us and my husband and I burst out laughing.

Just to answer a few of the questions---
Not much problem with jet lag since we stopped taking the "redeyes" home many years ago. The money we saved by leaving L.V. at midnight and actually arriving at our house around 9 a.m. was not at all worth the many days it took to get our bodies back on a normal schedule. Now we leave L.V. around 4 to 6 p.m. which gets us to our house about midnight or a little later and the tiredness only lasts for a day. I think the amount of alchohol we consume in L.V. and the much smaller amount we use at home also is a factor in how we feel after our trip.:o
Used to think how great it would be to retire in L.V.when we first started visiting in the late 80's. Not any more. It would just be too far away from our children and grandchildren to work out. Having to fly every time we wanted to visit would get quite expensive and also it will still be fun to go to L.V. whenever we have the best deals because we will have the time.:)
As far as the heat goes, it has never been a factor for us. We spend a lot of time outdoors and do a lot of walking at home. We enjoy laying by the pool and walking the strip during July and August. The air conditioning is never more than a few hundred feet away. I feel sorry for those that are not truly handicapped but constantly complain about the walking and the heat, (Gee, the monorails are SO far away:confused: ). They're missing out on a lot of fun and great exercise.

Jetlag?
Not a problem when I travel out of Vegas and back....
Question #2:
What is the oddest/strangest/funniest sight you have seen in LV?
While doing my impressionist show, ...During a Tom Jones Parody, a really hairy guy in the front row of my show stood up, ripped off his shirt twirled it around over his head and threw it at me on the stage. Everybody went nuts! I am still laughing just thinking about it!
Question #3:
What would be like to retire and move to Vegas.
If you are retired on a fixed income AND you are a gambler, I'd say it's probably not a good idea to live here.
Question #4:
Where are some good places for older singles to meet?
I live here, am single, and 40 and I have no idea where to meet people my age. Who would want to go to a 'Ultra Lounge' and pay $14 for a drink (or $300 for 'bottle service'), and go deaf from the music... ?? Not me.
Question #5:
What about the heat in Las Vegas... do you love the heat? Do you visit during special months because of the heat or wait until the Las Vegas winter?
The heat sucks, but I'd rather have that than a pile of snow on my car.

#1 - East coast here so there's a 3 hour difference. I usually take a non-stop that gets in about 6 PM Vegas time. I try to stay awake until midnight the first night - after that I'm on West coast time<g>. Have no problem with jet lag heading west, but am wiped out for a day or two when I get home. I don't really know whether it's jet lag or burnout from the late hours, short nights and excitement of being in my favorite city!
#5 - Been there in June, July and August....the only time I was really uncomfortable was last year when the heat wave was going on and temps were around 117 every day:( Couldn't hit the pool unless we went early in the morning and we only lasted about an hour. Other trips that were the "normal" summer temps didn't bother me at all. That said, my favorite times to visit are usually May and October.

1. No jet lag but I do suffer from Post Vegas Syndrome and am tired from lack of seepie and too much hoofin' when I return home.
2. Too many to list.
3. Would like to "snow-bird" it out there in the winter and return to Michigan for summers.
4. Older single meeting places: for my money, I'd try the Voodoo Lounge at the 51st floor of the Rio. Caters to a 30+ crowd and the view is spectacular even if you don't meet someone. OR: I might take a flier at "Tempo" at the LV Hilton; older more sophisticated hotel clientele may translate into the same type of folks in their version of an ultralounge.
5. I hate the heat, but don't let it affect my decision when to come. i DO let football season dictate when I visit, though.

[QUOTE=Bushay;27318]Q2 What is the oddest/strangest/funniest sight you have seen in LV?
I always used to see this handicapped fellow in front of O'shays or Harrahs every year I went. And I mean for a lot of years. He was so sad looking with no legs and just stubs for hands and arms. I always put a little something in his cup. And then one Sunday on 60 minutes...they did a whole segment all about him. He lives in a million dollar home and all day long teams of people came by and emptied his cup and fixed him up. It was a quite an operation. Thing is...I havnt seen him the last 2 years now. Wonder if he's still around?
My husband and I alway used to look for him too. We usually saw him near the Carnival Court by Harrah's. I always referred to him as "Bob." A couple of years ago when I didn't see him, I went into the Ghirardelli shop there and asked the clerk if she knew what had happened to him. She said his name was Richard and he was vacationing in Colorado. We haven't seen him for a couple of years and always wondered what his story was. Anybody know for sure?

To answer #5: We try to go during the summer months..love the dry heat,. as it beats the humid stuff back here in Nebraska. Mrs. Keno loves to lay out at the pool and read, while I will join her, I do like the a/c and always try to have a cool drink in my hand, especially when headed outside. Also on the positve side, its so easy to pack when going in the summer..all we ever take are carry-on's, and if we need something, we just buy when we are there.

1. I fight the jet lag when I arrive in Vegas but it kills me when I get home. A 12 hour flight and 8 hour time difference... I really DO turn day into night.
3. I would LOVE to retire and move to Vegas. I would love to live and work in Vegas even more though.
4. I don't know about places for older singles. It is wishful thinking probably but at 34 I don't think I'm "older". I suppose it depends... older than what? :D
5. I ADORE the Vegas heat. I could live in that all year round.

1. Jet lag isn't a problem for me. With a 2 hour difference and no real pressure to get up at a certain time , it doesn't matter.
5. I, personally, like the heat ( dry heat ) instead of the 90% humidity we have here in the summer. At least you aren't sticky all the time in Vegas.

1 No jet lag, in same time zone.
2 Oddest & Strangest - seeing parents dragging babies & toddlers around the streets after midnight. Who in their right mind would do this to their children. Didn't see any kids enjoying themselves and the parents looked really sad.
3 Good retirement spot if you avoid the 4 mile strip on Las Vegas Blvd and took advantage of everything else the area has to offer.
4 No idea, seems to be geared to the younger crowd.
5 Fall (low 70s) weather is great.

This was the first trip that I didn't experience any jet lag. I was home by
8:30PM, took an over the counter sleep aid for a couple of nights and that did the trick.

#1. No jet lag for me...not usually. We're from Western NY so there is a 3 hour time difference. I don't go to bed until 1AM or 2AM, so I can manage to stay up until 11PM...maybe. Our return flight arrives home at 1AM, and I go directly to bed...up at 8...back to normal.
#2. I saw a bride, in her wedding attire, which included a long train on her dress, and on her veil. See was walking through Harrah's casino in the arm of a man in a black tux. She was carrying a bouquet 2 dozen white roses. However, her gown was very short in the front...real short, way above mid thigh AND it was RED!
#3. We have talked about that for many years. Now that the time has come, my husband doesn't want to leave his comfort zone. Seriously though, I'm not sure either of us could take the summer weather for any length. Our son, who has lived there for 8 years, said it usually takes one year to become acclimated to the climate. "Usually" being the key word.
#5. I don't exactly love the heat, don't hate it either...not too much anyway. I could take it for a week or so. in the summer months if I didn't walk too far when the sun is shining...and if we valet everywhere. We always go in December (and any other time the mood hits us :) ) During wich time we usually wear only sweaters or light jackets. We've been there during every month except August...every months has it's pros and cons.

Question #1:
Do you have trouble with jet lag either when arriving in LV or arriving back home? No, never had a prob with adjusting to time changes or enviroments. However my wife is dead at 10PM CST, so I usually play whe she's asleep and try to get in by 4AM.
Question #2:
What is the oddest/strangest/funniest sight you have seen inLV?When I was in Vegas in 2000 with a buddy of mine. We were in front of the Frontier at 2-3AM talking to a russian honey we had met in Gilley's and then this guy falls out of 10th floor window across the street. What we didn't know was that they were filming Rush Hour 2.
Question #3:
What would be like to retire and move to Vegas. No, I want Vegas to remain a place thats unique. Moving there would ruin that.
Question #4:
Where are some good places for older singles to meet?Florida?
Question #5:
What about the heat in Las Vegas... do you love the heat? Do you visit during special months because of the heat or wait until the Las Vegas winter? When I get the itch to go to Vegas I go. Hot cold whatever.

Question #1:
Do you have trouble with jet lag either when arriving in LV or arriving back home? Never a problem! Fly from PA nonstop and get to bed a little earlier the first day in Vegas. No jet lag coming to Vegas or returning home.
Question #2:
What is the oddest/strangest/funniest sight you have seen in LV? Nothing that stands out.
Question #3:
What would it be like to retire and move to Vegas. Not sure about this one!
Question #4:
Where are some good places for older singles to meet? Not sure hold old "older" is, but one group that I'd highly recommend is Get Out Las Vegas. I accidentally met up with them at The Bootlegger in May. Sure made me wish I lived there. They were very nice, and they plan lots of really fun things. There HAS to be something for everyone! They had just been skydiving the weekend before my visit (Darn!). See Get Out Las Vegas's website (http://www.getoutlv.com/).
Question #5:
What about the heat in Las Vegas... do you love the heat? Don't like the heat! Can you say open oven & insert head? To me, that's Las Vegas in July. I much prefer Spring and Fall! Winter isn't too bad either though.

for question #3 - We moved here from Colorado for the sunshine and have not been disappointed. However living in vegas is not much different from anywhere else really. when You live here it is not always "Vegas" You work, you shop, pay bills, in fact many go months even years without ever going to the strip. When people come to visit they forget that We are NOT on vacation and can't go out running around with them all week. If gambling is a problem for someone this is a bad place to live since even the supermarket and walmart have machines so it is a place you can get into financial trouble real fast. But I would't live anywhere else except maybe La Jolla Southern cal.
only for the laid back lifestyle missing here.

Question #1:I've never had any problems with jet lag. When in Vegas I never keep my normal schedule.
Question #2: Oddest was seeing a guy on a corner screaming at the top of his lungs reading from the bible. Though this is more common now that I live in LA.
Question #5: I enjoy the heat for short periods of time. I prefer colder weather and snow. When I do go I like the summer because at least I don't have to deal with the humidity of summer. :)
