Two part question...
1.) What is your favorite on-Strip Hotel/Casino?
2.) What is your largest gambling win and loss in one day?

Mine is Imperial Palace, for whatever reason I enjoy the Dealertainers and the relaxed mood.
Largest win in one day was only about $150, and loss in one day about the same...I am still waiting for the Big Win!

because each of the hotels has a different character and there are varying prices, the favorite is the one that suits the needs of the trip. center strip is convenient, however, like harrah's for instance. my biggest one day win was $3600 at mandalay bay, where i sometimes stayed before i became a "local". always loved that hotel and stayed there as often as we stayed anywhere else.

since moving here, between the two of us, we've many win days of $2-4000, with two of those happening over labor day weekend. because i don't like to accumulate w2g's (the tax report on a win of more than $1200) i tend to play games where i won't win that much, although it's happened--and on a penny machine.

enjoy. andrea from las vegas

My favorite place on the strip is a toss between Imperial Palace and the tropicana.
My largest win in vegas was 3000 and the biggest lost in one day was 300.

:) Hello. For 1st question, I have 4. Mandalay Bay, T.I., Paris, and Mirage. I only stay at any of them if I can get a good rate. My last 3 visits I have stayed @ Stardust, Harrahs, and Sahara because I had free room nights including the weekend.
Question 2: My largest win in any 1 night was guess where? NEW ORLEANS @Harrah's. Oh the memories I have of that place. !!! I won on a 10x's pay machine with 1 quarter about 2:30a.m for about $1300. 2 10x's pay with a red 7. My biggest lost was earlier this year in Tunica, Ms @ the Horseshoe. I dropped about $700 playing a $1 machine in about 1 1/2 hours. Guess what? I never even received a free room night offer from them. A coworker who was on the trip with me received offer for a free suite Sun-Thur and free play money and free food. According to her, she only played a few hundred dollars. Hmmm, I wonder how few?

Favorite Casino/Hotel is the Palms.
Largest single session win was $11,900 at the Venetian playing BJ.
Largest single session loss was at the Orleans 2 days later. Lost $900 playing BJ, 3 card poker and Let it Ride.
The loss didn't really bother me though cause of the 2 day earlier hit!
BIG B IN LV

P.S. The 2 week vacation back to NY the week after was the best part of the win!

@ the Rio in Jan 05. $5,000 @ Flamingo Hilton/Laughlin

My family likes the Rio for their rooms and friendly staff...
Rio seems to attract the "cool" people more that us regular humans.

But, since I'm not their to impress anyone.... :D Just Win!!! It will do.

I too wait for the big win.
I suppose the easiest win I had with no initial outlay was finding a wadded up $1 bill on the floor of the Luxor casino. Picked it up... later un-rolled it... turns out it was $100. The Luxor god of "those who lose more than they win in casinos" was smiling upon me that day... :D

Our favorite hotel is the one with the best rates.

Biggest win in one day was $800 at a slot machine in Luxor about five years ago. We were staying at Excalibur and my husband had packed it in for the night. I was on my own and wandered next door to the Luxor. I played a 3-coin dollar machine with the extra action screen on top that was activated by a combination of symbols. I put in $40 and, per my usual strategy, figured on either losing it all or trying to double it, and then take the $80 and split. The machine hit from the start and I was over $80 before I knew it. So I raised my bar to $100, and kept climbing. When I finally hit the extra-action screen I ended up with a hand payout (no tickets back then) and, combined with the credits was up to a little more than $800. I played back down to $800 and cashed out.

The funny thing is I must have been playing in the Twilight Zone and got completely disoriented. I couldn't find the Cashier Cage to cash out and did a complete 360 around the casino only to find it right back where I started! Then the next day I went back to find the machine to give it another try and couldn't find it. Go figure.

My favorite casino is Harrah's. Been staying there for 20+ years.
Biggest win was this past March in Reno - won $4000 in the Fitzgeralds. A very nice bartender directed me to a 10X machine and it hit after about $30. Needless to say, he was tipped very nicely. :p

I don't play much on the Strip Troy...the Dealertainers are fun though huh...
I do most of my play at the PALMS. Strip gaming happens only when I'm waiting for a Show to start.
Biggest win....not all that long ago actually. 3,000. at the RIO if you can beleive that and on two nickel machines at that!

Favorite casino on the strip is the Aladdin. We have been staying there for the last 4 years. Great location, great views of the fountains, their offers have been very generous.

Afraid that may be coming to an end though with the switch to Planet Hollywood, they have already raised the levels for gold membership from 500pts to 750pts and the amount of coin in per point from $15 to $20 for slots and from $30 to $40 for VP players. Makes it tougher for mid rangers to stay at Gold level which brings the nicer offers and we will not chase the comps.

In the meantime as long as a good offer comes in we will be there.

Biggest win so far is $1000: Royal flush on .25 single line VP

I too like IP, I can always find the person I'm with at one of the vp bars (the fact that they have so many vp bars is a plus). Most I ever won was $2000 at 50 cent video poker.

Our favorite hotel is Caesar's Palace. Just love the location, the shopping, the food, and especially the pools.

The biggest one day payout was just over $12000
The biggest one day lost was $3500

I just love talking about ***VEGAS***

Favorite Hotel Strip - Mandelay Bay
Favorite Hotel Off Strip - Green Valley Ranch
Where do we normally stay - wherever the best comp offer comes from <G>

Biggest win - $3500 in 4 hours of blackjack at Treasure Island in April. It was the first time I ever gambled there. We were vacationing with friends who wanted to stay there, so while they went sightseeing with wife, I hit the tables. Went down real quick and was coming close to my daily loss limit, when I hit a real nice run. Normally I would have walked away, but I was enjoying talking to a nice, young, blonde teacher so I stayed and hit even a better streak.

Biggest loss - $1500 several years ago at the Lady luck. Learned 2 important lessons that trip. 1) Don't carry a credit card for cash advances. 2) Walk away when things go sour rather than thinking about getting in your 4 hours to keep your rating good.

My favorite place to gamble would be the Palms. In addition to the gambling, the people watching is great. I sat next to a guy at a Baccarrat table one night - I was playing $10 on the Banker and he was betting $3500 - $5000 per hand. Then there was the guy with the $10,000 brick of hundreds at the $5 craps table....

As to my daily wins and losses, I tend to go between extremes of +200 to about -200 in a day. I'm not a high roller by any means.

Years ago I was in Casino Royale and wasn't winning - went to find my mom to see if she was ready to leave and out of the corner of my eye, I saw something rolling on the floor. Scooped it up and put in my pocket. Looked around and no one was looking like they lost or dropped something. Left the casino and looked at what was in my pocket and it was a $100 chip from Harrah's. I was staying at Harrah's along with about 17 family members and showed it to my cousin who promptly told me I couldn't just take the $100 home as it was found money and I had to gamble with it (I think he wanted a share!). So, I sat down and played Caribbean Stud and the first hand I was given a Full House and won $600. Guess my cousin was right! :p

After 22 years of going to Vegas and staying at various places, usually the Imperial Palace, I feel that the old familiar friendly feelings have been totally removed with the onset of players cards. I'm not thrilled with the glitz and glamour that has taken over the Strip and lack of personal attention and service. So, after many referrals I have booked my next visit in November at the Westard Ho where I will compose a trip report and let everyone know how the rooms and service are.

My biggest loss was probably $500 one day (blackjack) and my biggest win was a red-white-blue 7 progressive quarter machine about 8 years ago at Slots-Of-Fun where I won the progressive amount of $10,300 in US. Because the Canadian dollar was very low at that time, it was uh, like, a million Canadian. Yes, they did take 30 percent right off the top but it was sure a great win.

The Aladdin is my favorite on the strip, Golden Nugget favorite of all though, Biggest win in Vegas is $500 twice, once at stardust, and once at harrahs, biggest loss $300, but my biggest win ever was at Isle of Capri in Iowa, $5580 on a bad beat jackpot playing holdem poker.I had aces full of 9's got beat by aces full of jacks, a month later they changed it to aces full of 10s had to get beat instead of aces full of 8's, what timing :)

My favorite strip casino is Excalibur. We have always been treated well there.
Second would be Harrahs, where I won $4000 on Dueces wild VP in June.
After I won there,we went to Ballys to do some sportsbetting and I played a Blazing 7 quick hit $1 machine and won the progressive 2 times within $34.00 for a total of $2065.00 :D
But the biggest win was at Sams Town LV in 1998 when I won 24,000 on a progressive 5 times pay machine.
Our biggest loss was 2500.00 when we decided to go up and down the strip and randomly insert money into slot machines, instead of staying at the Rio and just losing all our money there. At least it would have translated into more comp points.

My favorite on strip hotel & casino is the Bellagio, second favorite Mirage. Customer service is wonderful at all MGM properties. Off strip favorite is Green Valley Ranch.

Biggest one day win was two weeks ago at the Bellagio...I won $19.000.00.
I came home with 7 tax forms. I was in a state of shock. I hit while waiting to get paid from another jackpot. Then I hit a jackpot on a $5.00 machine. I was so excited I couldn't sleep. :D

I've never had a run like that before..and probably won't ever come close. Husband considers it a goal to beat my numbers. ;)

Our favorite place to stay is Bellagio! So elegant and classy. Service is top notch. We do gamble there, but we frequent many other casinos. Because of the low-minimum tables, I go across the street to Barbary Coast often. Off strip...Palms is also great place to gamble!
