It came today! The offer I was waiting for, from Imperial Palace, my new favorite place to stay (at least until Harrah's decides what it's going to do).
I called IP over a month ago to book a room for the end of October and they quoted me $49/night. I hadn't called Bob Cohen yet, but figured as the time got a little closer I'd see if he could improve on the price, but seriously doubted it. I had called around and nobody else was anywhere near that price.
The Autumn Escape Players Package includes a room rate of $29/night (September 5 - December 28) which by itself is fantastic, but also:
$100 slot play
$25 in comp dollars (to be used as cash)
Two meals at Emperor's Buffet
Two frozen cocktails at the Daiquiri Bar
Four cocktails at the casino bars
Two-for-one entry to Legends in Concert
Two drawing tickets for Cash Blast
Four $5 match play blackjack coupons
Hopefully Delta will still be flying, because our tickets were only $250, bought before the fuel shortage.
I'm SO psyched!

I was also excited to receive the card - rooms $29.00 - per night.
We will be flying DELTA and from Florida to Atlanta and then to LV on Oct 2 thur 7
It made my day.

Excellent rate. Is it for anyone or do you have to use a special code to get that rate.

Hi Granny,
The card was addressed to "G******** Household" which caused me to wonder. Both my husband and I have cards there, with the same number. There's no code to refer to.
There's nothing on the card that says the card must be presented at check-in (although I'll have it with me anyway). When I called I gave them my confirmation number with the old rate, explained that I got the offer in the mail and wanted to make the change. They made the change and my confirmation number stayed the same.
Try giving them a call 800-634-6441 Ext. 2 or check their web site at events@imperialpalace.com and check it out and let us know what happens.

If you get a problem getting these rates being you do not have an I.P. Players Card, don't hesitate to contact my pal and Executive Host, Bob Cohen. I am sure he will set you up with these rates.
Email me at mrvegas98@aol.com and I will be happy to send you his contact info.

Thank you Legolais!! I just called and booked for Fri/Sat/Sun November 25-27. The rate for the package was $39 for Fri and Sat and $29 for Sunday. What a great deal. I was booked at the Ho but have been going to IP for 22 years and would certainly prefer the IP because it is more central. I did not have my players card number here at work but they looked up the number when I made my reservatrions. Have you looked at the crazy prices online for the last couple weeks in November in Vegas! I guess with Paul McCartney, the auto convention and various other things going on, the room prices are all jacked up. FYI: The regular rates for non-player card accommodations at the IP are $113/$113/$85 respectively on my dates. Quite the savings you informed us of and I am extremely grateful!! :-)

Thanks for the info. I had orginally booked for October 5th with a rate of 49 weeknights and 69 weekends. I did not get a card in the mail but called anyway and got my rate changed to 29 weekday and 39 weekend. Not sure if I will get the freebies when I check in but it still gave me an extra $100 for the slots!

I just got off the phone with the IP folks, who let me know (in no uncertain terms!) that this deal was ONLY for Players' Club card holders with previous play on their cards. "You have to have earned significant points to be able to participate in this offer..." was what I was told. The gentleman was only too happy to pass me along to another reservations specialist who offered me a "great" deluxe room for $109 or standard for $89. NO THANKS!
Upon Steve's suggestion, I did write to Bob Cohen and am hopeful that he will be able to match the $29 per night rate, even without all of the other goodies included in the original offer. Jeez - you'd think that management would be thrilled to have anyone still stay and play there, with the recent news of the purchase by Harrah's..... Will let you all know if things turn out well!

I am sure Bob will get in touch with you. In fact Bob is now a member of the Forums and I have asked him to keep our members informed of any I.P. news that he thinks our members would like to know about.

Did get a reply from Bob Cohen, for $69 weekends and $49 weekday.
Not as good as the $29 and $39 rates. But still better than what the
rest of the strip wants for our dates in Nov.

We are also taking advantage of the Autumn Escape Package and looking forward to it!..Called Bob Cohen and he has taken care of everthing, and on top of it we got round trip tickets for $192 out of Omaha!..so we are psyched!!!! :), we have never stayed at the IP, so this will be a new experience for us..if anyone that has stayed there wants to fill us in on what we can expect, I would appreciated it..I did ask for a room AWAY from the Carnival Court, as I have ready many accounts on here about the the late nite noise..anyway, Cant wait for December 8th!....Viva Las Vegas!

I wasn't aware that you could hear the music from Imperial Palace rooms...thought only at Harrahs (who owns Carnvial Court). I've stayed at IP for 20 years and although it feels so much like home I feel I could go down to the casino in my pj's and slippers there is a reason people assume it is going to be torn down in the near future since Harrahs bought it. If you are only sleeping in your room, they are fine. The elevators are extremly lined up and slow so you'll want to only go up and down to your room as less as possible. If you smoke, okay place..which I do. If you don't, the celings in the casino are low and the ventilation limited. My kids, 20's, always complain that they get a sore throat and headache when playing there too long. Guess I'm immune!! On the good side, the Doubles Bar and other amenities like the restaurants on the 3rd floor up the escalator (not elevator) are pretty good. Their poker room has free Hold-em Poker lessons every day at 11 am and you can mosey on over to the low limit tables to practice your new-found knowledge. The Dealertainers at the blackjack pit are very entertaining but they only pay out 6:5 on blackjacks. The Champagne Pit tables pay out 3:2. All in all, I'll be very sad to see it go because of the excellent people that work there and their friendly over-the-top service.

Granny: When I called about the Autumn package they told me you MUST have an IP card to be eligible for those rates. But I think if you contact Bob Cohen, either by email or phone, he may be able to help you..He is great at what he does!

Thanks for the nice remarks about Bob Cohen, he really does go out of his way for my newsletter members and will give them the best deal that he possibly can.
I am hoping he will be making posts on the Forums very soon.

It is a great deal.
However
The $100 slot play is on special machines where you must hit the jackpot or nothing. Also congrats to the IP they have taken the top spot away from the Boardwalk:eek: . The emperors buffet is now even worse    than Boardwalks surf buffet. I suggest using your comp points and eating in the teahouse. The two daqs at the pool are worth it. I dont usually drink them but they are big and not bad either.

Bob the wonderful set us up for Veterns day weekend using the phenom Autumn Package! What a deal.
Now, tell me what area to ask for. We are concerned about:
Must be non smoking
Should be convenient
We have 2 rooms, so ajoining would be cool
Big enough rooms that we wont hurt each other!
IS a nice bathroom a choice?
Cant wait. :p
We are flying Allegient out of Colorado - $59 each way!! And no Denver airport - Allegient only flys out of small airports. Great service and nice enough planes.
