Has Anyone Been To The Monte Carlo Recently And Played The Monte Carlo Riches, Their Signature Machine? Have They Been Good To You? MGM Has Their Majestic Lions And The Flamingo Has The Blazing 7's That Seem To Go In A Frenzy At Certain Times Of The Day, Night.
We Like The Monte Carlo. It's A Nice Size Casino, Pretty, and Elegant, But not Stuffy. And That Fresh "signature Fragrance" When You Come In From The Parking Garage, Or From Las Vegas Boulevard, You Know You Are At The Monte Carlo. Great Location On The Strip. Love That South Strip Four Corners! You Have Nice Neighbors, All Around.
The Pool Area Could Be Improved Upon For The Number Of Guests There. With 3,000 Rooms, Wish The Pool/ Chaise Lounge Chair Areas Were Larger. Nice Selection Of Food Choices In Restaurants And The Minibrewery/pub Is Fun. The Staff Has Always Been Pleasant And Helpful. The Elevators Being Right Around the Corner From The Registration Desk is Great. You Can Also Take The Monorail Over To The Bellagio from The Monte Carlo.
We Have Stayed At Different Casino/Hotels Over The Years. The Monte Carlo Is One Of Our Favorite Places To Stay.

I used to have a lot of luck playing the Monte Carlo Riches slot machines. There was one in particular near the food court that I used to make Steve go and play when we stopped in to the Monte Carlo. But the last few trips I have found them very tight. I also like the Monte Carlo though we've never stayed there (some day!). I find that the newer the machine, the looser it is in the Monte Carlo. For the most part we've come away with more money than we've put in at the Monte!

My brother used to stay at the Monte Carlo every year, but got away from it, I think primarily due to price. I know he never had any complaints about the hotel. I'm going to try the brew pub this year . . . . .

One of my companies in involved in importing ultra quality essential oils and we fragrance some of the Casino properties (Secret) in the gaming area. The new trend is to brand each casino with it's own signature scent as well..... I dislike the scent from the Flamingo,
Environmental fragrancing objective.... relax you during the day in staying at that property and stimulate you in late evenings to counter your body sleep clock.
What they will not do to separate us from our $$$

We usually stay at the Monte Carlo once a year and our second trip is at a different hotel. Last October I put my first 20.00 in the Monte Carlo Riches machine right after we got checked in and first spin hit the progressive. It was only a quarter machine, so progress was just at 500.00, but still thought that was great. We love the Monte Carlo, not quite as crowded as some strip hotels, decent places to eat, and we have usually won more than lost there.

Glad to see other members like the Monte Carlo too. As I mentioned in one of my other posts, it is a casino I feel safe in. If my husband wants to go up to the room earlier than I do, I feel safe playing the slots for a little while longer. It is a very comfortable, pretty casino. We have always found the employees to be very pleasant and accommodating. It is nice to see familiar faces, year after year at the same casino.
We usually had lucky trips there, mostly on the Monte Carlo Riches slots. Our last trip in May, I played a $1 Monte Carlo Riches machine in the middle of a row, and hit the $1160 jackpot, putting in about $100. While the slot attendant went to get the jackpot money, I leaned over to the next machine and put in 3 $1 tokens from my coin bin and one spin, BINGO won the $1400 jackpot. That happened to us also about 2 years ago, where on the first spin won the $1,000 jackpot. That was when we were waiting for my husband to get paid his $1,000 jackpot on a $60 investment. What a treat! We won two quarter jackpots also on this trip. Love to see those top hats and canes come up for 300 coin payout.
We had lots of play time on the machines there. The Slot Club Card there is the One Card. When we went to check our points at the end of our stay we had $76 dollars in cashback, which we took out. The points there last for at least 12 months, which is great as we live in PA and were getting there once a year. Only the last three years we have been able to get there in the Spring and in October.
Today is our 37th wedding anniversary. We'll be making our "anniversary trip to Las Vegas in two weeks. :) Celebrated our 25th anniversary there and have been back almost every year since. Started out at the Excalibur and have watched the MGM being built, NYNY, Monte Carlo Mandalay Bay and Bellagio.
Have stayed at different casinos over the years, and have split our stays.
We usually stay at the Monte Carlo on the second part of our stay and its always exciting coming back there.
Good selection of food choices. Had a wonderful steak dinner at Blackstones. The Cafe has great omlettes and sandwiches. The food court is great if we are on the run for a day trip or ice cream treat. Saw the Lance Burton Magic Show. Some comments were it was cheesy. I think he is so laid back, I liked him better than uh oh, David Copperfield.
Thank you for all of your input. Regarding the Monte Carlo fragrance, I believe they sell cans of their air freshener at the news stand near the elevators.
Interesting information that there is a company to sell "signature fragrances" to each casino. We also noticed walking around in Mandalay Bay it smelled like coconut. What does Wynn have in the air?
Thanks again, everyone!! :D

I love the Monte Carlo too but normally play VP.. no big pots but good playing time. I like the atmosphere plus they play good music over the speakers. doesn't distract... just nice stuff!
can't wait to get back next week but won't be staying there. their rates were pricy! will play tho.

We also have had luck playing the Monte Carlo Riches machines in the past but they seemed tight when we were there in July. maybe we just had no luck that day. There cash back for yur play is very good with the one club. I would also recommend playing the old Sierra Silver machines there (not many left on the strip that Iam aware of as I always hit the silver belt buckles for 160 credits. Brew pub is great and i agree it is one of my favorite casino's in Vegas even though I have never stayed there.
