My husband and I will be in Vegas Oct 3 to 12 for our 35th wedding anniversary and we have never seen any of the Cirque de Soleil shows.

We would like to go to one of them this trip and was wondering what you would recommend? I have to say that we were big fans of the Beatles, so maybe "Love" would be the one to see, but we really aren't sure.

Also, is it worth getting the most expensive tickets ($95.00), and if so, where would be the best seating, and is it a good idea to book them on line in advance or wait until we are there?

Thank you in advance for your opinions and recommendations.

Linda

Hey Linda...you're lookin' at pretty short notice for the
CIRQUE DU SOLEIL Shows...the seats go on sale 120 in
advance of the night YOU want to be there...

Here's what I'd do:
If you guys want a good example of what a CIRQUE Show is
like, see MYSTERE...it's great and you'll have a GREAT time!

YES, it's worth the $95.00 if you can still get a seat there.
Section 203, Rows AA thru HH. If those are gone, try for the
same Rows in Sections 204 or 202 as close to 203 as you can.
...and be in your seat at least 15min. before Showtime.
Call the Boxoffice for tickets: 1.800.944.7444

"LOVE" is great, but is so totally different from the normal CIRQUE
Show, you should see MYSTERE first.

For your BEATLE 'fix'...go see The FAB FOUR in Aladdin's Desert Passage.
They are the BEST Beatles tribute band around! YOU WILL LOVE THEM!
You can get tix the day of the Show (it's at 6PM), but I always reserve
mine in advance (your dime) 1.702.932.1818 DARK Fri. $49.-$59.
The VIP seats will put you in the first row, but the illusion will work better
from mid room with the Gen'l Ad ticket.
TIX4TONIGHT also has their tickets at their 2for1 stores.

Here are my reviews:

"Mystere": The original and the best one I have seen. Good combination of music, acrobatics, comedy, and oversized snails. This is the one show that I recommend to everybody. Get there 20 minutes early to watch the clowns escort ticketholders to their seats. Grade: A+

"O": A stunning show, but I think there's only so many ways one can dive into water. My wife likes this one the best, but I rate it a notch below Mystere. Grade: A-

"Zumanity": Not exactly pornographic as some would lead you to think, but definitely more erotic than any other Cirque show. The two half-naked girls in the big champagne glass was my favorite bit. There was a running gag involving Puritans that has probably been edited out by now. This isn't for everybody. I can't recommend it as the gotta-see Cirque show. Grade: B

"Love": Read GREGRIO's review. I have tickets for it in November.

As far as seating goes, I don't recommend trying to get a front row ticket. All Cirque shows have action going on above, behind, and to the side. Something in the middle allows you to see everything well.

I have seen 2 of them. Zummanity and O.If you ask my husband Zummanity was the best and if you ask me O was the best. Zummanity takes a very open frame of mind.

O left me speechless. I have have been in the front for both shows and think it is well worth the money. We had a couch up front for Zummanity and were 2nd row for O.

I have seen a lot of differnet shows as well as the Cirrque show in Orlando and I think by far that O has to be the best show I have ever seen.

Which ever you chose I am sure you will enjoy it.Have a great time.

Hi Georgio,

Thanks for your advice. I hope we haven't left it too late for tickets. Will try and get the ones that you recommended. Mookie said to read your "Love" review, where is it, I would like to read it. Would you recommend the same seating for "Love" as "Mystere"?

Hi Mookie,
Thanks for your comments too. It seems like everyone likes Mystere. Is it because there is something for everyone in the show, or is it just "classic" Cirque??

Hi Ladylasvegas,

Yes, I can just imagine that "O" would be stunning. Its so hard to choose between the three of them. I guess we'll just have to pick one each time we go!!

Thanks
Linda

I would also recommend "Mystere", but haven't seen LOVE yet. Middle of the theater seats are best for this show too. So much going on above and around you.

MYSTERE THEATRE has front and back sections. I always recommend
the UPPER BACK because it provides you with full view of the
Pre-Show and main Show. I've been in the front section, and it's cool,
but you need to keep your eyes...up and in back of you for the early
seating entertainment.
I'm sure I've posted this before, but here it comes again.........
There's a great SEATING CHART visual Treasure Island offers on their
website for MYSTERE:

www.treasureislandlasvegas.com
'click' on the MYSTERE picture
'click' the name of your Show...MYSTERE
'click' "Seating Map" on the Left, under the picture

Point your 'arrow' on a section and 'click'...the pics seem to have
been shot from the 2nd,3d, rows of each section, but give you a
VERY GOOD idea of what each area's view looks like.

I can't believe no one has mentioned KA! While I've loved all of the Cirque shows in Vegas (well, I wouldn't sayed I loved ZUMANITY), KA is my favorite. It's one of the most incredible things I've ever seen.

But I might take Gregrio's advice and see MYSTERE first. It's an excellent show and for someone who has never seen Cirque before, it's probably a good one to start with.

In my opinion, any seat in the MYSTERE theater is a good one.

Have fun! I hope you get some tickets!!

I loved Le Reve at Wynn's, it kept me very entertained and all the seats in that round theater looked pretty good. Am I the only one out there that saw it? Or I the only one that thought it was that good?
