My daughter and I have reservations in November at the Frontier. Has anyone stayed there recently? All opinions welcome!

I've not stayed at the hotel at New Frontier, but I've played in the casino. I found the casino to be very comfortable and not too expensive.

Gilley's is nice if you like western type bars.

Understand, though, that I don't think there has been anything "new" at the New Frontier for about 40 years...

It's a nice place though. I like it.

My husband & I stayed there for years; now we're at the Strat. Generic casino but not so big that you can't find each other. The rooms are larger than other comparable hotels & you can usually get what you ask for - refrigerator, close to the elevator, etc.

Phil's Steakhouse at the Frontier is very good. The Frontier is close to the Fashion Show Mall & TI.

My honest opinion is that the Frontier is a dump. My suggestion would be if you can find the $59 rate at the MGM both you and your daughter will be much happier. The MGM is a classy first rate luxury hotel. The Frontier is a tired worn fixture that will soon be history.

The place is OLD and DIRTY, and since they are ready to knock it down and build something else, they are not really putting money into it. I would avoid it.

Yes i have!! The rooms arent so bad but the Casino is old and dirty!! I do have good luck there when i gamble. The pool is nice and large and usually not to crowded. It is usually cheap!!

We stay at the Frontier every time we go. Was there in July and though it is an older hotel, it is still a nice place to stay. They are very good about comping rooms and dinners for their gamblers. Gilleys is the best place for a steak. It is not a fancy hotel but it is reasonable and we will stay again. Hope they dont tear it down because of its history. Didnt notice it being and more smoky than other casinos that I have visited either. Oh yeah and I am not a Grandma and I dont have pearls! :)

probably the worst buffet in vegas, beds in rooms are very bad.very old casino with bad smell. that said, i like the quiet atmosphere and it does have some decent video poker plays.

For what it's worth my friend stays there quite often and is there now as a matter of fact.
Ill ask him about it if I see him next week but he does enjoy it.

We stayed there last week. We are not picky people and we went there knowing it was an older hotel. The room was clean . The caulk around the bathtub could stand to be redone but that was the only thing that I noticed. We asked for a strip view high up and we got the 7th floor with a view of Wynn. I had a choice of getting the $59 room rate at MGM but to me being able to get from your room to the strip in 2 minutes means a lot more to me than staying in a classy hotel. ;) Have a great time in Vegas !!
