This should be a very good topic.
You only have 48 hours to spend in Las Vegas. I would like you to post an itineray for those 48 hours. Include everything from the time you wake up untill the time you go to bed.

If you only have 48 hours in Vegas, I highly suggest staying on/near the Strip or downtown, just for convenience of mass transit.
As a general rule, I'd spend half of the first day just exploring your hotel/casino and the surrounding properties. If you're staying mid- to south-Strip, I'd spend the other half of the day exploring MGM, New York New York... if you're a rookie gambler, check out the gaming classes at Excalibur. If you're staying downtown, check out the Fremont Street Experience at night.
For your second day, check out the portion of the Strip you didn't get to the day before... If, for some reason, you managed to check out the entire Strip in one day, you probably didn't stop and enjoy anything. I could easily spend a whole day in Paris Las Vegas and Bally's alone.
I think a trip wouldn't be complete without seeing one of the more niche properties, like the first floor of Paris or the canal at the Venetian. I also think taking in one Vegas buffet is a great experience. As nice as Bally's Sunday brunch is, it's overhyped and you'll probably face some long lines just to get in. The Bellagio has a wonderful buffet at a great price, and though I've never been, people say good things about the Wynn buffet.
While I know I've failed to provide a proper itinerary, I hope some of these tips are helpful in creating your own itinerary. Saving money by getting just your standard room as opposed to an upgrade will give you the cash to hail a taxi or ride the monorail to check out more stuff in less time, which is vital for just a 48-hour trip. Besides, those weekend/48-hour trips.... every minute of sleep you lose can be well worth it if you keep active.

We would not go to Vegas for just 48 hours. Our travel is too long, expensive and inconvenient for us. Besides, it would be nothing but a complete tease given our appetite for this city. However, if somehow we would ever be forced into the position of going to Vegas for a mere 48 hours, time management would be of the essence to us! There would be a limo waiting at the airport with the promise of a better tip to get us to the hotel, FAST! No, we would not go without say five hours of sleep, that would just make us sick. Primarily, we would plop ourselves down in the middle of the Bellagio Casino and never leave otherwise except for brief runs to their snackbar. We would save our real meal of the day for room service after we retire from an 18-20 hour day of play. Just two days in Vegas, NAH! Our absolute minimum is four days and that’s even ridiculous for us.

much too short-we have to stay at least 4 nights-but lets say we won 48
hours.........we would want to be at a fabulous hotel such as paris, ceasars,
bellagio, 4 seasons, etc. & just stay put-48 hours isn't enough time to do
much so just just hang at the hotel-enjoy & relax-that would be fun.........

This is funny because many our trips are for 48 hrs or less. This is what we do.
Arrive at McCarran about 11:15 pm.
Get a rental car and drive to hotel.
Arrive at hotel around midnight, check in room,, unpack.
12:45am, find a 24 hour cafe and have a light bite.
1:30am,hit the slots for as long as we can stay awake.
Make it to bed around 4:30 or 5:00am and rise about 8:00am.
9:00am, late registration for a slot tournament.
9:30am, eat a big breakfast.
10:30am, go back to tournament area and stand around until time to play - usually around 11:00am
11:30am, hit the road to some other casinos. Sometimes walking, sometimes driving.
3:00pm, go back to home casino for another slot round if there is one - if not, keep moving
4:30pm, go to room and clean up a little
5:30pm, eat dinner, usually a steakhouse, sometimes a buffet
7:30pm, go see a show
9:30pm, hit the slots at our home hotel
2:30am, go back to room for sleep
8:30am, rise and eat a big breakfast
9:30am, play slots
11:00am, play second or third round of tournament
11:30am, hit the road again, maybe go to some off-strip casinos
6:00pm, go to room and clean up a little and pack a few things
7:00pm, go to tournament awards banquet
8:00pm, get back to room and finish packing
8:30pm, check out of hotel for a 10:50 flight back to Dallas
Sometimes our schedule varies a little bit, but most times this is it.

Last September, my girlfriend and I did this. Been there done that, got the T-shirt. Will not do it again. I AM TOO OLD :o
Arrived in LV on Saturday via America West at 8:30am. Did carry on, so out the door.
Cab over to the Rio. Check in at Diamond, room not ready. After all it is only 9:00 am. Drop bags at bellman.
Eat, gamble.
Room ready. Drop off luggage. Shuttle to Harrahs.
Gamble, eat ,gamble.
Down to Wynn as friend had not been there before. Gamble.
Over to fashion show mall. Shop.
Walk carrying heavy bags. Enter Bellagio, gamble, look at Conservatory.
Back to Harrahs, gamble. Catch shuttle back to the Rio. Grab a Starbucks.
Up to room to unload bags. Eat cookies and FALL ASLEEP!!!
Slept straight through until 9 am. Because our plane left Calgary at 6:00 am
we had to leave home at 1:00 am to get there. We thought we were young enough it wouldn't be too bad. Wrong!
Sunday
Breakfast, gamble, shuttle back to Harrahs. Ride the Monorail for fun down to Sahara. Gamble. Back to Rio. Gamble until 4am.
Sleep for 5 hours. Get late check out. Gamble. Cab to airport.Flight leaves at 5:00 PM.
Not enough time for hockeymom. I like to be there for at least 4 days.:)

Since, I only have 48 hours, I wouldn't be sleeping. My first stop would be Harrahs. I seem to have lots of good luck there. My next stop would be Paris for a strawberry daquirie and a trip up the Tower. Next is Monte Carlo. The second black jack table on the right is my favorite also must play the Zodiac slots. NYNY is my next stop. They have the city slots. Since I'm from WA state, I play Seattle. Upstairs for a maragarita.. Yummy!!! To Excalibur.... Glitter gulch of the strip but lots of fun. MGM for snack at the Rainforest. I like the house lions slots and they have Elvis still. Have to shop at the Aladdin mall. The only non gambling event besides food...
Imp Palace is still one of my favorites. Will hate to see it go. I enjoy the Dealertainers. Really gets the blood moving. Songs I can understand...
Will catch the bus downtown. Have to go to the 4 Queens and Main Street and watch the laser show. It's a real people watching experience downtown. Esp the bus ride.
There goes my 48. Went ever so fast. Can't wait for the next trip. Plan to stay longer.

Tried this once- not worth it- not enough time for much of anything. BUT, I would:
gamble, shop, hot tub, gamble, eat, gamble, shop, hot tub,gamble.... guess you get the idea. Any amount of time in Vegas is good.Additional suggestion: sleep on the plane....

:) This is speaking quite in general, but both days must include at least one visit per day at ELLIS ISLAND for breakfast and/or dinner. The $4.95 steak dinner is not listed on the menu, but ask for it at any time of the day or night.....You may even see Nicholas Cage there also....If you are really hunger and you are not looking for kosher food, order the hunger man's breaKfast, which is still under $5.....Of course, go on HOTWIRE.COM prior to your arrival and rent a car. The advantage of hotwire is the best rates, but the disadvantage for hotwire is that you pay in advance .....but if you know that you definitely will be making the trip, follow through because it's better to rent a car per day at $20 or less than to depend on the honesty of Vegas Cabbies....I made that mistake once but never again....Likewise, you expand your options of visiting local casinos if you have wheels available...For entertainment see MYSTERE' one night and CLINT HOLMES or CELINE DION the second night.....One the first day, and especially if it's on a MONDAY late afternoon, play the dollar BLAZING 777's slots which are located near the bar in FLAMINGO's...Be sure to visit MGM and the major strip casinos...IF YOU RENT A CAR, visit the PAHRUMP Winery for lunch. It's only about an hour away from Vegas taking the highway near the Silverton Casino off I-15. I recommend the flat-iron steak meal and sample the wines.....The side trips save you money away from the slots and the card tables...Finally, get a copy of the AMERICAN GUIDE TO CASINOS at your local book store. The cost is about $16, but the coupons will save you major bucks. Enjoy, Gene

48 hours wouldn't be enough time, however I would not rent a car so cab it to Bellagio, check in, unpack and head to the casino to see my favorite bartender. Park myself at the VP bar and play all afternoon. Dinner at the Cafe and then back to gambling with hubby. Sleep from 2-7 and then start going again, head down to Wynn and play some there. Grab a bite to eat and head back to Bellagio and gamble some more. Get to bed around 3 up at 8 for the flight home........
In reality we are planning or trying to plan a 3 day trip, but I think that is as little time as I would go.

48 HOURS???? What a tease!!!
I would certainly be able to take all I need in a carry-on for that short a time.
I would have to take Delta's non-stop at 7:30 pm, pop an Ambien as soon as I board and sleep the 5 hour flight.... good to go now! No time to waste.
9:45 pm Grab a cab to either the Golden Nugget or Four Queens, park the bag probably no further in the room than the thermostat to make sure it is cranked down cool. Grab the 'casino bag' containing money, slot cards, cigs, single use vials of saline for contacts and a protein bar or two..... hey its a 48 hour trip...
11:00 pm find a vp machine and drop anchor.
Around 5:00 am, or whenever I get tired of being bumped around for casino personnel to relieve the machines of money, I head up to the room and crash until about 10:00 am.
Noon: Im not a morning person, so it takes me about two hours with my coffee to shower and dress. Breakfast was Room Service.
Grab a cab to Cesars... play there, Paris, NYNY, Bellagio, where Ill probably hit the Buffet for dinner. I would like to hit MGM and Mandalay Bay, but this is a short trip. If I make it to all those, Im losing ... and moving around a lot. I usually do good at Cesars and if this were the case ... I would have to catch the others another trip.
Midnight is the latest I want to get back downtown. Still a few hours to play before heading upstairs.
Whenever I wake up, breakfast is again Room Service.
Pretty much pack up before heading out for the day, where I will remain downtown. Dinner at the hotel. Collect any cashback from cards.
9:00pm Late Checkout and cab to catch an 11pm flight back. Ambien will again be needed for the 5 hour flight home, as I am not one to sleep on my own in a plane, car, etc. Otherwise I will spend the flight planning my next trip back.

I did this the first time I was in Vegas!
Went horse back riding in the desert, went to Grand Canyon, went down to the Rio for the free show & the Chippendales, went to see LaCage...........walked into as many as possible of the hotels & collapsed on the plane.............lol Had a ball but KNEW at this point I would go back so I could spend more time & have! :D
Tammy
09-04-2006, 09:24 PM
To go for 48-hrs ~ the plane ride and hotel stay would have to be free.
I would not spend the money for only 48-hrs.
Whenever I arrive I would take a nap then eat. I would then go to Bellagio and/or Mandalay Bay to gamble.
Stay up late and drink.
Go to bed for 4-7 hours.
Eat breakfast and go to the pool.
Take a shower, have dinner (maybe a show) and gamble until it was time to leave.
I will nap on the plane and then go to bed when I got home. :D

This scenerio describes my very first trip to Vegas, which I only booked a week in advance, and was still scared to death of flying at that time! (And it took 4 planes to get me there--but only 2 to get back!)
immediately after a 12 hour overnight work shift, boarded plane(s):Syracuse to NY, NY to Atlanta, Atlanta to Dallas (huuuuge plane with flap problems--firetrucks welcomed us to Dallas), Dallas to Vegas (luckily they held our connecting flights after the plane trouble, or I would've been spending my 48 hours in Dallas!)
Bell Trans to the Excalibur, no time to rest or unpack--my band was playing in Minstrel lounge! Got to the lounge around 9:30 pm. Stayed in lounge till 3:30 am listening to Gentleman and their Lady, and Earl Turner (alternating sets). Spent half hour of Quality Time with my adorable honey in the band--the whole reason for the trip, then off to sleep for 3 hours.
Breakfast in morning, explored Excalibur, got tickets for King Arthur's Tournament (as it was called in the 90's), spent 2 hours QT with my honey, went to the show with him, then it was off to work for him, off to lounge for me. More great music from G & L and ET--all night!
Had to leave hotel at 4:30 a.m. next morning to catch my 7 a.m. flight, in order to make it to my 8 p.m. job back in Syracuse, NY.
That was only about 34 hours in Vegas! But I'll never forget it, and it was great. Except for the fact that I never left the hotel I was staying in. I only got to see the Excalibur. Many more trips were needed!

I'd have 40 of the 48 hours planned out in advance. I'd research all the shows I wanted to see ahead of time, afternoon and evening, and reserve tickets online. Earl Turner would still be on that list, even though his shows are no longer free. At least he's back in Vegas again.
I'd use the monorail, and my feet as my main mode of transportation to get to all my reserved shows. There would be very little chance of me getting in a cab, or a bus, since I'd spend way too much time stuck in traffic.
There would have to be a massage and spa "time" in there somewhere, and I think 4 to 6 hours of sleep would be sufficient.
The hotel would be decided by research on the internet to find the best "value" at the time. Not necessarily cheapest price!
Then, I'd just allow myself to have fun for 48 hours. Gambling would be optional, and inserted as time permitted.

I've done a 48 hour trip, but 7am - 8pm the first day was for a business meeting. It was a short trip and felt like it was even shorter.
If I did a 48 hour trip for fun, I would never leave Palms except to go back to the airport. I would just eat and gamble at Palms.

This will sound crazy but one time I took a trip to Vegas that was only 12 hours in duration! It was the one-year anniversary of 9-11, and my plane fare was $1 each way plus taxes (it ended up being about $20 RT from Dallas).
Anyway, we spent the entire day on Freemont street, gambling and drinking. We tried to hit almost every casino on Freemont and our mission was to get those collector coins (the $10 collector coins you can win on certain slot machines). It was great fun and we came home with over $100 in coins! It's a nice collection, and any duplicates we won were simply cashed in.
That was a whirlwind trip! We just got right down to business as soon as we arrived, and it was enough for a day!

I'm wondering---if my wife takes eight pairs of shoes for a five day trip, how many pairs would she take for a 48 hour trip? Algebraically it comes out to 3.2 pairs but I bet she wouldn't chance it and would move up to at least four pairs!

We did this our first time.
Land at noon, bet on slots at airport, think we will win, don't.
Check in at MGM explore hotel and eat at buffet.
Explore strip at dusk, collect bucket from every hotel (they are still in my basement holding nails) this takes 8 hours, enter every casino on strip, and see all the outside shows: volcano, Buccaneer Bay, White tigers, Harrahs court, MGM lions, so on and so on.
Drink cheap beer at now gone small strip casino and talk about how amazing Vegas is: getting ver very late (or really early) and are really buzzed.
Go back to MGM, Wife sleeps I do some slots, end up hitting a small jackpot and think how great a gambler I am and how easy it is to win.
Sleep some, sun is coming up. Wake wife, do buffet and go to Ceasars mall and wait for everything to open. Only ones at the fountain shows, thrilled out of our minds, go shopping at great stores, try on rings I might could afford, but wouldn't ever buy.
Rent car realizing that feet are really sore from walking all night. Go on drive to Hoover Dam and out into mountains around Vegas.
Love the mountains, had a great time at corny show, Red River Canyon or such, on way back to Vegas see Liberance museum and go shopping at outlet malls. Stop at downtown see Fremont street, tick off Lady Luck by taking winning and leaving. Look at all the lights on way back to MGM on strip. Get back in time for FX (show now gone, but we thought was great.)
Get up, gamble a little and win (gee how easy that is!!) Get to airport early (about an hour, what a joke now that is now). Gamble and win again at airport (geez what easy money).
Great time.
Never forget it.
Do it.

Its just too sketchy. I mean, I can Plan, but the time it takes for check in, unloading the car, unpacking, that never seems to be the same. So, for argument's sake, we will start with the assumption that the 48 hours would start as soon as I come up over the top of the hill from Boulder, and can see the sprawling strip, end to end. The car windows are all rolled down, I'm puffing on a giant cigar, the radio is blasting the ZZ Top version of "Viva Las Vegas", and I'm singing along at the top of my lungs.
I wave at the Fiesta and the Sunset Sstation but I do not stop because they both SUCK. I get off at Tropicana and go surface streets to the corner of Tropicana and the Strip. I hit the parking garage at Monte Carlo and stop for a gin and tonic at the first bar that presents itself. I travel through the casino and out the other side, crossing the street to the Hawaiian Village. This recently remodeled shopping and dining venue is nice, good bargains, good food, but no parking of its own. The restaurant that used to be out front, with a hookah pipe on every table is gone. Too bad.
But this is where you have to go for supplies. Many years ago, the Las Vegas Cigar Company had a wonderful store across the street from the Dunes, just a few doors up from the Little Caesar's Casino, where they had actual old hand-crank slots, in penny, nicl\kle and dime denominations. In those days the LVCC had work desks, where actual imported little guys from Cuba hand rolled the nicest, tastiest stogies in town. The walls were covered with autographed photos of famous people who patronized the place, including George Burns, Jog\hn Wayne, and Groucho Marx. They tore that place down to build Paris, and the LVCC moved from center to center. The last place was the size of a walk-in closet, in the old and now dead Boardwalk. They now have a small cabinet-humidor and a desk just inside the front door of the Cybernet Cafe. So I get a box of Panatella Sweets, a couple of the Churchills that are rum soaked, and several nix (a tiny cigar most usually associated with the Cllint Eastwood cowboy movies.)
On the way back to the car, I stop at the CVS drug store, where 15 minutes of shopping covers all of my souvineer needs, gifts for friends and family and two calendars that won't be useable until next year but what the hell.
I play a few machines at the Mote Carlo as I head back to the parking garage, but won't touch their table games, as I feel they are all rigged. Reason? Last trip my dealer at Pai Gow had a really bad hand, but she knew she had me beat before she turned over my cards. A little too fast, very suspicious.
Back in the car, I visit a local grocery for fresh fruit, some mixers and some alcohol. And maybe some cheese and crackers. I also visit the Las Vegas Tourist Info office for all the coupons and offers I can carry.
I check in at the Barbary Coast, I always get a "view" room because of the victorian decor, the view of the Bellagio fountains and Eiffel Tower, and the 52" wall mounted plasma TV. The beds are those sink-in-and-can't-get-out kinds of mattresses, and the tub has a stained glass window with three roses, which opens up so you can smoke a cigar while taking a hot shower and not suffocate from steam and smoke.
Unpacked, I dress for the evening and head downstairs. I work my way up the strip until I get to the Flamingo, where I stop in to Margaritaville. I've been a Jimmy Buffet Parrot-Head most of my adult life, and I can't resist a "Cheeseburger In Paradise", substituting a huge boat-drink size Margarita for the lyrically obligatory cold-draft-beer. Well I only have 48 hours! And I walk away full, carrying a little souvineer in my pocket: Jimmy can stop searchin' for his lost shaker of salt... I took it!
I continue north through Harrah's (a drink in that party village is usually great, unless the stupid Disco Band is playing.) Harrah's has a table version of Texas Hold-Em. that I haven't quite figured out how to lose at yet.
That puts us at about 10pm, so its time to get ripped. 50 cent well drinks at Casino Royale lights the fire, and the low table stakes makes it fun.
More than a little blurry, I continue on to the Venetian, and throw away a bunch of quarters on pretty slots. Right around 11:30 I visit Emeril's Delmonico restaurant. The dining room is closed, but the slot winnings gets me a fantastic cup of New Orleans quality coffee, a bu\ig fat cigar I cannot pronounce, and a snifter of fancy-schmancy cognac that I dip the mouth-end of the cigar in while smol\king it. Fan-damn-tastic!
I cross the street and visit TI, Mirage and Caesars. If I time it right, the cast of the late show are all in one of the bars near Elton John's store, as well as late night famous people to gawk at, or maybe even speak to. More drinks and then its across the bridge, back into Barbary Coast, up the elevator and into my bed. it's close to 3 am, I use the great big TV as a night light, and leave the drapes wide open so the last thing I see as I pass out is the lights of the strip, all the way to Mandalay Bay.
Awakened by sunshine in my face, I'm up and out very early. The strip is deserted except for an assortment of joggers and late night ladies who haven't gone home yet. Showered, refreshed and full of Excedrin, I exit out the side of the Barbary Coast and go right through the Ballys facilities, catching the Monorail. It dumps me out at the MGM, where I break away and cross the street to the new Hooters. They have a modest yet delicious breakfast buffet, and a set of blackjack tables where the dealers are Hooters Calendar Girls. I always say there's nothing wrong with Hooters for Breakfast.
I make my way to the Tropicana, where I start the day's delerium with a two-foot long alcohol-laced tropical beverage. I take a few minutes to watchj the people in the pool playing Blackjack. Someday I want to try that.
I cross the street and get on the littler-monorail and ride it down to Mandalay Bay. My father passed away a few years ago. He loved the horses and the doggies, and I think he still haunts several of the better sports books. So, in his honor, I attempt to place a bet in every sports book on the strip. I go through Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Excalibur, and then New York New York. If you like imported beer, I recommend the bar at Nine Fine Irishmen. They have an Irish (duh!) import called "Smithwick's". Over there, its pronounced "Smiddiks" and the bartender knows you're experienced when you order a pint of that. Its half-way between Guiness and Harp, and has a reddish color to it. and it is like getting hit in the face with a gold brick, wrapped in a piece of brown bread. Two of these and I need to spend some time at the nickle slots until the buzz wears down. Then I play my way through the MGM back to the Monorail. I won a LOT of money at the MGM last trip playing "war", at $5 a hand. There is another Emeril restaurant here, but they don't have cigars and all they serve is Fish. They Used to have a raw bar out front, with fresh oysters and Clams, but that's gone now too. Thats a shame.
The Monorail takes me to the Hilton, where I visit the Star Trek venue. I like the slots that are activated by breaking a light beam instead of pressing a button or pulling a handle. I remember when they had table games in that area, I played and won a LOT! Probably why they too are gone. But the restaurant, downstairs from the Ride, is called Quarks, and the food is fantastic. I h\recommend the pipus claw, the roast loin of targ, and the Holy Rings of Betazed. And one Warp Core Breach, a glowing, foaming, smoking beverage in a massive futuristic fish-bowl size glass. They maj\ke a smaller size for beginners, but I take the big one. Then I pick a fight with a Klingon, make a pass at a Romulan I HOPE is a female, and get escorted out by Ferengi.
So, properl loaded, I catch a cab Downtown, and play my heart out at the low table stakes games, the loose slots, and the mini Texas Hold-em tournaments. I visit Glitter Gulch for some eye-widening stimulation, and late night snack on 99 cent shrimp cocktails at the Golden Gate. I work off a lot of the buzz at Gillians pinball place, and then a late night bus back to Barbary Coast. I sit, clad only in my underwear, in a cushy chair, looking out at the lights, smoking a cigar and sipping a night cap. Not a pretty sight, but the most fun I can have without my wife there.
Next morning I pack up the room and check out. I walk over to Bellagio for the most sumptious breakfast buffet anywhere. I drive down to Circus Circus, and go in breifly, to tour the arcade and circus area. Love to play those carnival games to win some stuffed piece of fluff to give to the kids at home. Their prizes are usually cutting-edge with what my kids like. Last time I got as Batman that was large enough to sit in the passenger seat and qualify me for Diamond Lane access. By noon I have visited every last casino on the strip, I gas up and head for home, with Sheryl Crow singing "Leaving Las Vegas" on the car stereo.
Some day I will just LIVe here and won't have to worry about going home. I'm already there.

I couldn't possible just spend 48 hours in Vegas. It is just like getting there then turning and coming home. Too much to see, too much to do and too many casinos to hit in just 48 hours. I would do this only if I were going back the following week for a few days stay. ;) Sherry

Ok, I have 48 hrs....hmm
After my 5 1/2 hr flight from Jersey, I'd grab a cab, check-in at either Bellagio or Mirage, then start at the slots. Tip the cocktail waitress $10 so she doesn't forget me, then begin to drink heavily! ;)
Move to Let it Ride, then Paigow Poker, then Roulette. Eat. Don't care where, as long as it fills me..LOL! Go to Barbary Coast and gamble more there, move to O'Sheas, then hit Wynn! Make sure I grab a drink for my walks to and from the casino's!
Ok, time to eat again.
Go see a show, perhaps Mac King, etc. A show I haven't seen yet that I didn't have to book 2 months in advance.
Back to gambling, don't care where just pick a casino.
Find a lounge, sit and people watch while....drinking heavily...LOL!
Getting hungry again, so eat a little snack before going to bed.
Day 2... Call Circo (Bellagio), make reservations for dinner tonight for two. Eat breakfast then take a walk down the strip while the weather is still cool and nice out. Go to my usual trip to M&M's World (I'm addicted to them). Go to MGM and gamble a while there, make my way to Mandalay Bay, gamble there, not drinking as much today, but will catch up later. Eat lunch, anywhere.
Grab a cab and go to either Palms or Hard Rock, and...gamble and drink. Grab cab back to hotel, shower and get dressed up for nice dinner, then stay in Bellagio and gamble, go to the lounge and drink some more, listen to some good music, maybe dance a little bit, hit the tables one more time before bed.
Next morning catch early plane back to Newark and unpack and go back to normal life and wonder if the last two days were a dream!

Well, concidering that's what we're gonna do in December, I guess I'll let you in on our itenerary(sp).
Actually we'll be there a little over the time limit but who's counting.
Day 1
First we pick up our bags and grab a shuttle to the hotel. Staying at CC this time. Cheap enough for two nights. Get up to the room and quickly unpackthen head down to the casino. First get something quick to eat as we will be leaving New Orleans about 3 pm and not arriving in Vegas till 5.35 pm Then probably play for a while .After that, will most likely go DT to play a bit and see the Freemont Street Experience. After we get back to the hotel will grab a late dinner at the cafe (graveyard specials), then off to bed.
Day 2
Will more than likely be up early as our bodies are still on Louisiana time. Fix a couple of cups of coffee while getting showers etc. Then down to the cafe for breakfast (I normally don't eat breakfast except on trips ). Then some more playing and wandering around the north strip for a while. Maybe a trip to Bellagio to see the concervatory. Will have to be back for our dinner .reservations at The Steakhouse about 7.00pm that night. After dinner we willplay more till bedtime.
Day 3
After getting up and enjoying some coffee and a shower, time to pack up, check out and check our luggage for a few hours, as our flight home dosen't leave till about 6.00 pm. After breakfast, we play a while till it's time to catch the shuttle back to the airport.
And thats a ballpark of our 48 hours in Vegas.

Wake up at Wynn's around 10am, because they have the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Get room service to bring me coffee and rolls while I am getting ready. Don't want to waste the hour in the coffee shop.
Then hubby and I go down to play. I have had very good luck on Wynn's slots, even won $1,000 on penny machine. Hubby plays blackjack while they still have $10 and $15 tables open. Around 4:30 we realize that we don't really belong here as the table limits rise and the dinner prices climb.
So we head down to the Sahara, eat dinner at Paco's, husband enters $30 poker tournament at 7pm and I get to play $3 and $5 blackjack. (only place on the strip except slots of fun to do this). Then hit their video poker machines at the bar until hubby wins, (I hope) the tournament. Around 11pm go to their Casbar for great free entertainment, usually lots of jazz and blues, sometime comedy. Take the free drink from the bar with me.. Since we are old and out of shape, 2 hours later we have to head back to the comfort of the beautiful room and bed at Wynn and waste about 8 hours sleeping and rejuvenating. Next day head out to the Rio for brunch at the buffet, play everything that looks good, catch the free show in the sky. Pick a show for the evening, maybe something I haven't seen yet, then gamble, drink, eat and sleep till time to go home.

The first thing I would do is unpack and freshen up. Then it would be non stop gambling. Then I would go back to the hotel and change into after hours gear and do more gambling. Day two would include a massage and facial and nonstop gambling.:D
