What to do in Vegas? Money "no object"...

I'm headed to Vegas for a week for an "all expenses paid" get away in November. (She wants to impress me I guess.) Any ideas on what to do would be great. Here are several things planned so far... Staying at Luxor, maybe Hard Rock also. Helicopter flight over strip on the night of her birthday, tickets to the Aerosmith/Motley Crue concert, helicopter ride to Grand Canyon with lunch on the bottom of the canyon, drive race cars at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (either Indy or Nascar style), Blue Man Group, and Zumanity. Anyother ideas out there? Maybe enough shows already so, what else can I do? (Shes not much of a gambler).

Dinner at the "Top of the World" revolving restaurant at the Stratosphere would be nice. There are better eating establishments available but no better view when dining in the evening.

Please post a trip report when you get done with this trip! I want to hear about the lunch at the bottom of the canyon, I am thinking about doing this next year. Are you going to Havasu Falls?

If money is no object, I would rent some crazy car that you normally wouldn't get to drive.

You all have some great ideas!! lol. I will definately keep you all informed about my trip! We have been talking about it for days. Here is what we have planned out...

We decided to stay at The Signature at MGM Grand (ANyone know how this place is?) We plan to do two helicopter rides (one over the strip at night and the other to the grand canyon for lunch in the canyon, then fly back by way of hoover dam and final strip fly over), Star Trek Experience, We decided to go see Mystere instead of Zumanity (we heard Mystere was better), Blue Man Group, Drive a Nascar at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Aerosmith/Motley Crue concert on the floor, shoot automatic riffles at the range, and rent a Ferarri for a day... ANyother ideas on what we can do??
I'm sooo excited!

Check out the details for Aerosmith - one of their guys (Tom Hamilton) was unfortunately diagnosed with throat cancer recently and has said that he will be out of action for a few months. The band have said that it will affect some gigs but didn't mention which ones. Tom Hamilton is spending a few months recuperating and spending time with his family so I don't know if this will affect the LV gig or not.

The Star Trek Experience is a lot of fun (the rides, not the museum part - however, I'm not a Star Trek fan). You will have a great time on the 4D rides.

If you are a spa kinda guy, consider a couples massage treatment. Very relaxing and rejuvinating - with all you have planned you will need that recharge!

Or, just send her to the spa for a bunch of treatments.

Any good spas and/ or good deals you all can recommend?

I really, really liked the Elemis spa at the Aladdin. I enjoyed the lime ginger salt glow body treatment and the signature massage (I forget what its called)

It is a beautiful facility. I especially like that they add on the tip, so I don't have to fumble with bills and envelopes after a relaxing treatment.

but also check out the spa at your hotel. Nice thing about using the "in house" spa is that afterwards you can easily go back to your roomm and "relax" :p

You may also have coupons or a discount for treatments at your own hotel's spa.

When I read a post like this...I think the writer must be dreaming...or damed lucky!

Once, we took a side trip to lake Meade and rented Jet skis for 1/2 a day and it was really exciting-we had never been on them before, if you have, the thrill may be lost. Even better find a secluded cove and well...imagine what else you could do. (Best thrills in life are free)

I could tell you some other things we did that were fun...but I am afraid someone might recognize me from my post : )

You know " What happens here.....etc"

Have fun!!!

You have to treat her to the 4.95 steak at ellis island and to the locals at the el cortez. that ought to impress her, especially after all she is doing for you. on the serious side, you are doing all that you first mentioned AND renting a ferrari? damn!!

My suggestion: Load your own luggage with Viagra tablets, make a big fuss over her, tell everyone, everywhere you go (if you leave the room) that it is her b-day and how cool a gal she is.... maybe have a few flowers delivered to surprise her, call ahead and order a nice champagne to be delivered to her at dinner (again, assuming you leave the room) and make this trip all about HER!! (especially whilst in the room).... Guess I'd be a cheap date, I'd pretty much only come out to eat and restock the liqour shelf and throw a few quick 20's in the slots.................. seriously, have a GREAT time!! (what a lucky girl she is!! ....)

You need to do a nice romantic dinner for 2. I'd recommend the Eiffel Tower restaurant at Paris. Ask for a table by the window with a view of the Bellagio fountains.

As for helicopters, I'd recommend Maverick. They do a great job and have a lot of different trips to choose from. They're close to the Strip hotels and will come and pick you up.

Have fun!
