Everything Las Vegas Football Pool?

I am thinking about starting an Everything Las Vegas Footbal Pool!

Eilleen, who has been running her own football pool for years (I came in last one year) turned me on to a website that hosts football pools for free.

Everything is done via the computer.

I just wanted to get some input as to how many people would be interested in participating? I will have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

I wanted to give Forum members 1st crack at the pool. Players are limited to 200.

How about a SuperBowl Party in Vegas

I have never been to Las Vegas for the Superbowl so that is always another excuse to go. Perhaps one year.

On the subject of the Football Pool, we ended up with about 110 players and a lot of nice prizes including a 3 day/2 night stay at the I.P. in A LuvTub room for the grand prize. Also have show tickets, dinners, books, gift packages and coupon packages as prizes. Should be a lot of fun.

I shouldn't be on here because I dropped out of the football pool when our younger son moved to Austin, TX for a really good job (& I needed him to weigh in on some of the games) but I KNEW Peyton & the COLTS would win.

I went on vacation for 2 weeks and when I came back and tried to get on the football pool,it no longer was available to me.
Did I lose out totally by not playing everyweek ? Somethings are just unavoidable and out of your control as to be able to play everyweek.
Can't I continue playing but just not get any points for the week I didn't play,I did make my picks for the first week 2 hours before I left on vacation

BTW..I ended up with some very nice prizes for the football pool. Maybe next year we will have more players.

Here is the Prize List:

1st Place: Two night stay at The Las Vegas Hilton plus dinner for two at Beni-Hana's.

2nd place: Two Night Stay at Imperial Palace in a LuvTub Suite plus a lot of extra's.

3rd Place: Dinner for two at The Horizon Room at The Skyline Casino.

4th and 5th Place: 2 tickets each to see The Scintas

6th place: Two tickets to see The Amazing Jonathan

7th and 8th place: Two tickets each to see Folies Bergere.

9th and 10th Place. A family four-pack of tickets to see Dirk Arthur's X-treme Magic show.

11th and 12th place: Each will receive a $75 voucher good at the gift shop at Slots-A-Fun.

13th Place: A $50 voucher good at the Food Court at Slots-A-Fun.

14th-17th place: A $25 voucher which can be used at Envy The Steakhouse.

Last Place: 2 tickets to Lance Burton

The 5 people with the lowest numbers of winners that finish above the last place finisher will each receive at packet of 10 $$$$ saving coupons along with a Las Vegas mouse pad.

Also there will be a random drawing for all non-wining players for merchandise donated by the Las Vegas Hilton. As of now, I have 24 shirts and I do have a committment for 12 hats that will be shipped when they arrive.

You guys are making me feel bad :(

Rules are rules and it was stated many times that picks had to be made every week or you were disqualified from the pool. I also gave everyone the option of emailing me their picks if they could not post them and I would do it for them.

But all is not lost.....If I can scrape up some more prizes by Superbowl time, I will have Superbowl boxes at the poolhost site. But my "begging" for prizes might be done for the year. ;)
