This week's Topic Of The Week question was set to me by Boston Bill:
How loyal are you to a hotel?
Do you always stay at the same place or do you look for the best deals.
Do you gamble at one hotel to try and build up points?

We are pretty loyal to the Stratosphere. We have stayed there every trip we have had to Vegas. They offer us the best deals. You don't have to be a high roller in order to get a free room for a couple of nights at the Strat. That said, we also try to stay at one other place on our trips. We have stayed a couple nights at the Sahara, the Stardust, Bellagio (we had to do it once), and JW Marriot in Summerlin (thanks to my mother in law). Being low rollers, we are pretty much locked out of most of the center strip locations.

Loyal to the area of the strip by Tropicana and Aladdin ...errr Planet Hollywood. Normally look for deals and places where I can stroll to other casinos, so that also answers where I gamble. All over the place.

;) Whoever gives me the best deal is going to have me! I cannot afford nor justify one of these fancy places just to spend time sleeping. As I don't hang around the room any longer than I have to I cannot see wasting money on a fancy hotel, location is more important & certainly the price of room room is #1 on my list.
I pretty much gamble a little in each place I stop in but keep more of my late night gambling in the casino of the hotel I am sleeping in.
Hopefully with all the building that is going on they don't forget the "average hard working person" or I will be one who will no longer be able to go!

We have been staying at different Harrah's hotels- the comps have been good. Will decide which to call home likely after next trip when we hit the Rio and Caesars. Will likely remain loyal to them as long as they continue to express an interest in our return-

I remain pretty loyal to the Coast chain. As a visitor I always stayed at Orleans or Suncoast because I thought they were the best value and now my part time home is near the Suncoast. I tend to pretty much keep my points on their club although I do play other casinos sometimes. I stil get good offers from Coast and use them when I have more guests than my place can accomodate.
BTW.....working in Las Vegas this week and as I write this I am looking out on another beautiful day in Southern Nevada!!!!

We usually stay at the Imperial Palace as it has offered us the best deals and location. We usually gamble at Harrahs or Harrahs properties mainly because of Total Rewards, which works best of all the programs we have tried.
Imperial Palace's days appear to be numbered-but we'll try to get there one more time before the old girl goes.
PS This year we tried Atlantic City for a change. I have but two things to say: Never again, and Never again.

We always stay at the Rio for free. They treat us like royalty. We are not even high rollers. It is based on time and money. I tell people that no matter where you stay just make sure you get their club card and gamble at that place alone. We don't pay for anything but our gambling and always receive free tickets to everything in the mail. We have found that their reward program is the best. Plus, the card is good at all properties now.

We are loyal to the Rio-love the hotel, always stay free RFB without any problem. That allows us to eat and drink VERY well, and we love the hotel and staff. Wish they had better pay tables on video poker, but oh well!

I ususally stay with the best deal. Last time it was Harrah's. I do prefer the center strip. Better to get around. We gambled everywhere we went but usually came back to the Imperial Palace where we enjoyed playing. We also played a lot a Harrah which, besides the good price we had, we earned a comp night.
Not sure when I will get out there again. Usually like to make it in December for my Birthday but I doubt I will make it this year.

Been pretty loyal patrons of Rio for a few reasons:
1. My group's vacation to LV always includes 2-3 rounds of golf, so the extra large rooms are convenient for storing a couple of sets of clubs per room.
2. The location off the Strip is better for us since we always have rental cars and we can more easily access Highway 15 without dealing with the Strip traffic.
3. Our group tend to get good room rates at Rio with our Rewards cards; however, this has become of less importance now that Harrahs owns so many LV casinos now and we have more choices. We have stayed at Monte Carlo twice with comped rooms (really small) when Rio's rates were higher though.

sometimes if you always go to the same hotel, it gets boring-when the mirage
first opened we went there all the time-it just got to be too much "same old-
same old"-then we tried all the different hotels & it was great!!!! our favorite
on the strip is "paris" & our favorite downtown is the "plaza"-don't forget, you
get what you pay for-we always hear bad reviews for the "plaza'-why don't
they spend some money & stay somewhere more expensive-duh!!!!!!!!

For a long time I was loyal to Harrah's and stayed at the Rio exclusively. I received MANY free rooms and was able to visit Vegas about four times per year. I missed my late summer and winter trips one year and BOOM! No more offers. I called the Rio and asked a slot host if I would receive any more offers- she said my play wasn't good enough, so on my next trip- and several there after- I stayed at MGM properties. I am very loyal to the hotel in which I am staying. So much so that I won't even play $20 anywhere else. On this last trip I found a great deal at Caesars Palace, so I'm giving Harrah's another chance! We'll see if the offers start coming in again.

When we got married we took a SW vacation package which landed us at the Riviera. It was fine, room was fine for what goes on in the room.We try to go a few times a year, and always stay at the Riviera, because they comp us and send us free entries and rooms when they have tournaments. Another really big reason we stay is the Monte Carlo tower has free fridges, and the hotel itself is not so big that it takes an hour to get around. We are not young anymore, and have stayed at the Excalibur, also have their card and accumulate a lot of points, but they have those ramps from the elevators to the casino, which is hard to maneuver if you are old and mobility challenged. The Riv is in an area where I can go to a few other casinos easily, but for us it is still the best bargain and the most fun. Have had good luck there also.
the thought of it coming down and being replaced makes us both sad sad sad
It seems to attract an older crowd which is fine with us, since dodging kids all day is NO FUN

We are very loyal to the IP. We have been staying there for the past 6 years. We play the game and play there so that we can stay for free. We really like the location and the Hosts are wonderful! We also play at Harrahs locations so that we can comp our meals.

We have been staying at the Imperial Palacefor several years and will continue to do so as long as it remains open. We always go through the same slot host (Bob C.) and are treated fairly. I think they still have have the best return in benefits. The location also let's get around easily. thanks HJCMA

About the only place that has any loyalty to me is the Orleans. I realize that when you only put $20 - $40 in slot machines at any casino you walk into, you are not going to get many offers. The Orleans sends me offers at least twice a year, and I don't gamble that much there. With the Harrahs properties making it manditory to at least put $20 in their slot machines every six months, you can't build up too much of a point balance when you can only make it to Vegas every 12 - 18 months.

Again, it depends on who I am going with and why we are going. If I go on a girls trip (3 more days - I can't wait!) then we are loyal to the MGM since that is our favorite place to party!
If I go with my husband, we stay at whichever strip hotel has the best deal. I will only stay between Mandalay Bay and the Wynn. I am a pain in the butt and I HAVE to stay at a BIG hotel that is within those limits. My ultimate goal is to hit every hotel on the strip.
As far as gambling, I am not very loyal to any. I used to be loyal to Casino Royale because I love 25 cent Roulette but since they got rid of that I am no longer loyal! Last time I was in town, I won some money at the Aladdin/Planet Hollywood roulette table so I might have to try that again on Friday when I get there.

We always stay at the Rio and love it!! Their comps are fantastic. They also send us offers of free airfare and hotel at their (Harrah's) sister properties, such as Lake Tahoe, Laughlin, Atlantic City, etc... We did go to Laughlin once, rented a car, and then and drove to Vegas for a day (it's only about 2 hours or so). We are very loyal to Harrahs/Rio, but really prefer the Rio hotel rooms. The rooms are all Suites and are very spacious (600 sq ft for the typical suite). On one occassion, our room was not as clean as what we normally found, therefore, I complained to our host. Quickly they sent up housekeeping to fix things up. A week after we returned from our trip, the Rio sent a letter of apology, and told us that to keep our confidence in the Rio, that they would upgrade us to a larger more desirable suite....Boy was that an understatement. We went three weeks ago and they gave us a 1,600 sq ft suite for four nights on the house. It was spectacular!! The view was breathtaking as was the room (which had a bar, jacuzzi, private bedroom, 2 bathrooms, beautiful dining room, all marble in the master bathroom, and more)! The Rio is aimed to please and that is exactly what they do!! I am definitely a Loyal customer of the Rio!! They have also offered us free rooms at Paris, Bally's and other properties, but honestly they have everything we want and need right there! We've stayed there at least 20 times and refuse to stay elsewhere. I would highly recommend the Rio to everyone! They even gave me a Coach purse on our last visit (yes, I earned it), but the room was definitely enough of a comp for us!!:D

I think that they are working on the pay issues....but you certainly are right, the Rio is the BEST!! Comp wise they beat every other decent casino I've been to, and I've been to many. We visit the Rio at least twice a year and Love it!! Can't say enough positive things about the Rio and highly recommend it! Eventhough it is a bit off of the strip, it's only $5 for a taxi and they do have shuttle service to the strip (free). The atmosphere, show in the Sky, and all the amenities make it stand out from the others. Everyone should stay there once, so that they can compare it to the others. The rooms, being all suites (600 sq ft), set it over and beyond the other hotels. We just love it there!!

Hello
For Joyce and me, we always stay at the Venetian. When on vacation, want to be pampered and spoiled and so we love the large suites with turn down service and all the other little special touches. The "deals" there can not compare to some at the other hotels in Vegas but we just really love it there.
We are race and sports book players along with craps. So without the slots, we do not build up a lot of points out in Vegas but we do just about all of our gambling at the Venetian's Race and Sports Book and at their craps tables in the evenings.

My first trip to Vegas my Mom booked us at IP. It was okay, but I couldn't stand waiting for the elevators. Have they made any improvements there yet?? Their slots were pretty good and the location is great. The prices were extremely inexpensive, but the rooms were small and not too updated. That was eleven years ago, though. Since then, we've stayed at many places and found our home at the Rio. I still do like to stop by IP and play their slots and tables, it's a very laid back atmosphere and we have fond memories (we got married there on that 1st trip). I know they have a lot of loyal customers, but the elevator thing still bothers me:rolleyes: If you like Harrah's properties, for the comps, you have to try the Rio...just once (you'll be hooked) and likely get your rooms free!! They are spacious and beautiful!!

Since the Lady Luck is remodeling, I am looking for a new hotel. I have stayed at the IP a couple of times for free or a really good rate. I would love to have a bigger bankroll when I go to Vegas and really get established at the Nugget Downtown. I love downtown the best.

Very good point. You have to be there at least once a year to keep your status! Sometimes things come up and you can't make it for whatever reason, and they yank your status from you. We were Diamond members and it happened to us once. We have regained our status, but it hurts:( when that happens. Especially when they look back at your prior loyalty and just say "Sorry....it's policy". We do love the Rio and now do our best to make it a point to make it there at least once a year (we usually make it more than that), because their comps are by far the best, as are their rooms and other amenities. They should look further than the past year to keep their good customers coming back as everyone cannot make it there once or more a year!

I haven't been going to Las Vegal long enough to have developed a loyalty for any particular property. However, my upcoming trip later this month has me repeating a hotel for the first time. After booking deals at Flamingo and MGM, NYNY came through with an offer I couldn't refuse. So I cancelled the others and am now staying in the "best city in Las Vegas" for the second time.
Not a problem. I enjoyed my first stay here and have had a grand time in the casino on my subsequent visits.

We have been very loyal to Caesars. Through their many ownership changes, they remained loyal to us. While not a high roller by any standard, we are very consistent and never try to abuse the 'system'.
As far as same place being boring, I'm not sure why that could be. All the (decent) hotel/casinos are always under construction and are in a constant state of flux and change. In fact, if anything, they sometimes changes things that shouldn't be changed. However, enough stays the same so there is a comfort level of knowing where most things are.
We have tried other places and are always looking for a possible change, however we always come back. I think there are criteria for loyaly:
You want to think that the hotel/casino appreciates your business.
You want the most bang for your buck (comps).
You want a good gamble and a decent casino with lots of options.
You want to feel like your on vacation.
You want as many amenities on-site as possible (restaurants, entertainment, clubs, shops, etc.), whether or not you use them - your choice.
Until they let me know otherwise (it's easy to tell), I'll continue to stay at CP.

I've stayed at the Flamingo for about my last 5 trips or so. I've also stayed at the Mirage and Harrah's. I'm more loyal to that area of the strip rather then the hotel itself. I have been very satisfied staying at the Flamingo, the pool is wonderful!
And I couldn't agree more with ASTIDIXIE. I can't see staying at say the Bellagio, while yes it's beautiful, I can't see spending that much for a place to sleep and shower.

We have found a home away from home in the Excalibur. We love the location, we find the casino user friendly(that means it has been very ggod to us $$$$$), we find the staff overly friendly and helpful, we enjoy the food for the most part and we always get a great rate.
we have tried a couple of other hotels on the strip The Stardust (total disaster), Bally's OK but rooms on the small size. Monte Carlo just don't know what was bad just didn't feel right. So for us it is the Excalibur.
From the moment we drive up the driveway we are treatd as royalty. Now before you get carried away, we are NOT large gamblers, $.01, .05, .10,. 25 and some $1.00 machines.
Staff remembers us by name and knows our likes and dislikes and goes out of it's way to make us comfortable. Sir Galahad's is one of our favorite restaurants and is always a special treat for us.
Contrary to many posts we have read, we have never found kids to be a problem. Security is ever vigilant about keeping them off the casino floor.
If Excalibur ever closes we have already decided that we would try Tuscanny on Flamingo.

We are always ready for the deal. Harrah's usually comes through for us, if they cannot accomidate us, one of their other properties does. Our last visit was the Paris. We loved it. Felt like we were in another place! Great beds, great restaurants. We had stayed there a few years back and forgot how we enjoyed it.We go several times a year and need to use free rooms and meals, to make it all reasonable. Ever since the MGM Grand Detroit started transferring points to LV, we have become loyal to MGM properties. We have been offered free rooms, reward play and food comps at both the MGM Grand and NY NY, which are both very nice hotels. Prior to MGM, we were very loyal to the Coast casinos.
We gamble 80% of the time at MGM to build up points and hope for future comps, and the other 20% is spent at the Gold Coast, playing Bingo or Video Slots.

I have stayed at Tropicana, Imperial Palace and the Boardwalk. Now that the Boardwalk is gone IP will be first choice. I did have a Sept trip planned at IP but Harrah's offered me a deal I couldn't refuse. I'm staying 5 nights with 4 of them comped. I like to gamble different places but I like to be at my home casino for the evening. I would like to try Rio or one of the other "NICE" hotels but I can't see spending the money just for a room when the other places are so nice. The elevators in IP are bad especially being in a wheelchair but during the week they are ok.

My first trip in 2000 I went to 20 - 25 different casinos over 5 days and stayed at Treasure Island for the first 2 nights and Luxor the the last 3 nights based solely on the prices I got at the time. I didn't get rated anywhere because I played almost entirely $5 per hand blackjack.
Both trips during 2003 I stayed at Mandalay Bay and gambled 90% of the time there. I went to MGM and NYNY both times and played a few hours at each. I didn't book the room in March 2003, I just went with a group of friends who already had it booked. I liked Mandalay so much that I booked a room there for December 2003. I got rated enough to get the Casino Rate on my rooms and free buffets but that was it.
Then in March of 2004 I discovered the Palms. Since then I have stayed there on every trip other than the time my company sent me to Vegas for 2 nights and put me in the Palace Station. 95% - 98% of my gambling has been at Palms. I've been getting rated here the whole time and get frequent comps, which is a big part of doing the majority of my gambling here.
I'm currently planning a December trip, which will be at Palms and I'll be there for the annual Sweet 16 trip March 20 - 26, 2007.

We are only able to go about once a year, since that happened we get no love from the casinos and have grown not to show them much either. It was upsetting when we quit going as much about 6 years ago now we go for the best deal. I am a little partial to the action at the "local" casinos (stations etc.:D )

Altho we have our favorite places to stay, we aren't loyal to any particular hotel - we go with the best deals. We're NOT high rollers, but haven't paid for rooms in a couple of years. We've even changed accommodations in the middle of a trip to stay for free. In Oct., we're spending 3 nights at Flamingo and 2 at Harrah's. I already long for the "good old" comp days - cash comps and reward comps.

When I first started the newsletter, I was very loyal to Harrah's. But changes to their Total Rewards along with downsizing of the racebook and overall policies as they relate to the individual player forced me to look eleswhere. Don't get me wrong, I still think Harrah's is a great place play but I just don't get the offers that I used to get.
As my members know I am very loyal to the Imperial Palace and The Las Vegas Hilton. But just because I am loyal to them will not prevent me from playing elsewhere.

We have become totally loyal to the Orleans. We receive some decent offers during the year, the price and service is always very good. The food can't be beat and I gamble there often. No "Let it Ride" , so I do go gamble at some other casinos once in a while. Have stayed at MGM, Rio, Stratosphere, Harrahs, and have come to appreciate and look forward to being at the Orleans.

Normally we stay at the Vegas Club or Sam's Town. My wife gets an offer every month from Sam's for three free nights so we try to stay there every trip. We casino hop during the day and concentrate our evening play at the place we are staying in hopes that we get some freebies from them.

We are loyal to Harrah's. Having one of their properties only 2 hours away in Council Bluffs makes this an easy choice. Lots of freebies to not only this location but others. I have an excellent casino host who calls me on a regular basis with lots of "extras" too. We are headed to Las Vegas in September and will stay at the Rio 5 nights for free. Can't knock a deal like that.
We used to be loyal. First time we ever went to LV 1986.... on a pkg deal $119.00 RT air out of OKC, RFB at the Fremont. We had little money back and they treated us great. Offers flowed in, we continued to stay there (and remain loyal even though our bankrolls had grown) for 15 years, all our serious gambling time was spent there. One year we were unable to go back and the offers stopped. Put in a call and they treated us like we were beggers. That's that, time to move to the strip..... since then we have tried Riv, IP, Harrahs. Not happy with any of them. T-6 days and still searching for a home. Last Aug we played at the Paris for a short time (left way up) received offer for 2 free nights which I have taken them up on and paying 3 nights (37.00 a night tax and all) at the Orleans. Hubby not going this trip but had already said he doesn't want to stay out on the strip anymore, so hoping the Orleans may be it. Mostly sightseeing on this trip with my newbie daughter so most of my play will happen at the O and P since most of my gambling time will be after a day of rippin' around town. Will a new loyalty come? We will see. Kathy

Right now we're pretty loyal to the North Strip. We like the comparative quiet and slower pace. For the last several years it has been the Hilton, Sahara or Riviera. If the offer was good enough, we would consider another area, no problem.

We do have a couple of favorites and if they are reasonably priced at the time we are going to be there, then we stick with them. If for some reason their prices are jacked way up during our trip, we do look at other budget priced casinos. Our two favorites are The Golden Nugget downtown and The Flamingo if we are staying on the strip. But we have been known to stay at the Plaza, which was clean and very cheap in price, we would stay there again. The other places we have tried are not worth mentioning.

I'm a Coast person. Been staying at the Gold Coast 3 to 4 times a year for 19 years. A few times at The Orleans also. Strictly a low roller but get free room offers several times a year. Love the daytime band in the lounge.

iam4nd, I know what you mean. Although we are not loyal to any one hotel - I've/we've staying in 13 different ones since Dec. '99 - I tend toward the North Strip also - since I am such a low roller (read that as cheap) gambler, and play BJ almost exclusively, I love the Sahara and SAF for their cheap limits. I visit them both so often, I am greeted warmly by the table area employees, and have even become friends with one and her hubby.
Because I always rent a car, I have grown to like being off Strip better - including downtown at the GN. It's just nice not to fight the traffic on the strip - the exception is when I have a reason to visit the strip, such as a show, dinner, meeting friends, etc. Then I just sneak up on the strip from behind!!! lol
I go to Vegas about four times a year, but hubby goes much less. When I go alone, I play "the deal game", seeing just how low I can get by with. We/I've stayed at everything from a $9.99 room at Terribles Christmas '04 to The Hotel on a pricey weekend- closest to loyalty for us is any Hilton brand hotel - don't earn much in comps because of play, but earn lots of Hilton points to use for airfare, free nights (both in Vegas and elsewhere). The hotel where I have probably stayed the most is the LV Hilton - often get good deals on room rates and I feel comfortable there if traveling alone.
Thanks to various travel buddies, including sibling and friends, I've gotten to try many places.
When hubby and I travel together we always get a suite, and you KNOW how much those can be at hotels on strip - often stay at non-gaming hotels - so much easier to navigate, etc. If he does not stay entire trip, I usually move to a cheaper location!
We always stay at the Flamingo. OK rooms, GREAT location, and a high comfort level for us. As for our play we tend to stick around the mid strip area at Park Place, er... Caesars, er....HARRAHS properties. I REALLY miss the comps that we used to get before Total Rewards took over but we do get offers from several of the Harrahs properties on the strip. Now if I only had the time...........

I stay at whoever has the lowest price on the
strip.Although when I can afford it, I like staying at the MGM since that's
where I won a good amount of money on the $1 slots.Other than that the Excaliber is a good place to stay.Good luck everyone.

This week's Topic Of The Week question was set to me by Boston Bill:
How loyal are you to a hotel?
Do you always stay at the same place or do you look for the best deals.
Do you gamble at one hotel to try and build up points?
I always stay at the Imperial Palace (at least 9 yrs.), center of strip, great price & great hotel staff. Gamble all over, 1 day outskirts, 1 day downtown, 1 day strip & always at night around the I.P.
Bob Cohen, I.P. Executive Slot Host is 1 of the most genuine/sincere people I've ever come in contact with.
I come to Vegas 3-4 times a year, I always play the same slot machine I win $$ the time before. I hit & run. To kill time I play blacljack

I have business in LV that takes me there every three months.
Client is the MGM group but I NEVER stay at their properties... not wise.
I say at the better Boyd properties... Sun Coast/Gold Coast as I'm a stockholder and feel that it's benificial to support your long term investments.
But... I gamble anywhere I feel like for that moment in time.

We like to stay at the Imperial Palace or The Flamingo because of the location on the strip, but we stay where we can find the best deal as long as it is on the strip and handy to the monorail

We have been loyal for the last few years to the Luxor; good
location, decent rooms deals, so-so gambling. However, my Hubby wants to check out the off-strip casinos, particularly
the Orleans, on our next trip. Some of the posts have been
very complementary to the smaller hotels and casinos. We shall see!

I stay at the Flamingo most trips due to free room offers as a Platinum member in the Total Rewards program. Total Rewards seems best for people who have a local casino to gamble in more frequently when not going to Vegas, i.e. I visit Harrahs Ak Chin in Phoenix and Harrahs in Laughlin regularly. It's nice to alternate properties because sometimes it does get to be the same old, same old. The rooms are fine at Flamingo and the location on the strip is good. I love the pool at Flamingo but it's so busy but that also means fun people-watching. I wish Flamingo had a cool lounge where bands could play. I love the lounge at Bally's and they always seem to have great lounge bands that are fun and entertaining. I stayed at the Flamingo last weekend and they stuck a band in a tight corner in this casino bar in the back of the casino by the table games. It was not a fun atmosphere as it was so cramped and it was way too loud for that area. If money and the price of rooms weren't an issue for me, I would pick the Augustus Tower at Caesar's as my favorite place to stay. Unfortunately, I only got the chance to stay in those beautiful, contemporary rooms once the week after the tower opened. Now, I can't afford them, even at the casino player's rate.

=mofrogfarm]We are loyal to Harrah's.
We always get all our nights free at the Rio too. The hosts there can go over and beyond the typical "total rewards" rules. People shouldn't shy away from Harrah's because of the reward system, it can be a bit deceiving, but the hosts want to keep you happy and they will generally do whatever it takes to keep your loyalty. You just need to deal directly with a host, preferably a platinum or diamond host, to get your comps. We never use the total rewards booth for our comps, we charge everything to the room, then, the last morning there, we go down and settle up with our host and we have never-ever been disappointed. I am sure if I was going off of the Total Rewards brochure and policy, I would assume we were going to get much less comps, but I don't even look at it, I just know from past experience that they have always been more than generous with us -- and we only have one table player between the two of us, so I'd say they are treating us very well!! We always stay at the Rio, and generally don't pay a penny for our food (we don't eat too much), room, roomservice or even the many gift shop items that we charge to our room. We learned to charge everything to our room and they always (almost always) comp it all off; we were there the 2nd week of July and they comp'd off nearly $500 of room charges, most of it was gift shop purchases, some room service, and our room was free for four nights. I strictly play slots and my husband plays the tables (he's not a High-high roller either -- not that I know of lol). We site-see and casino hop during the day/early evening, and finish off our evening back home at the Rio. One thing that I do need to stress is to make sure to show your rewards card /ID when playing the tables, because if you don't, you certainly won't get comps. My mother-in-law often forgot to do that each time she switched tables (which she didn't do too often), but when she sat down at a table and didn't show her card/id she didn't get rated for many-many hours of her table play. She gambled much more than we did, for higher stakes, and she still had to partially pay for her room/charges, because they didn't have her in the system for a large majority of the gambling she did. So make sure to show/use your cards, and make sure that if your playing slots, that the machine recognizes your card! And for those of you who think the cards are bad luck....get over it, I've hit my biggest jackpots while using my card! You have to use your cards to get the comps!!! I can't tell you how many people I have run into that simply won't use the cards because they think "the casino is watching them and won't let them win." I have a huge collection of the cards (from every casino I've ever been to), unfortunately they are always changing them, so I still always have to wait in line for a new one when I go back. When you get your card from the players club be sure to ask for 2 or 3 cards, just incase you misplace one or the magnetic strip goes bad...it saves a lot time from waiting in line.:)[/FONT] But most importantly get the card, use the card and enjoy the comps and the multitude of offers that will follow your visit!! And that goes for any casino that you choose to play at.

I really don't consider us loyal, but I guess we are . . . we have stayed at numerous places in LV, but the last 6 or 7 years, we always go back to Treasure Island because they comp our rooms and give us food and freeplay. We gamble quite a bit there but we are in many other casinos gambling. We also get offers from others but they never seem to beat TI's. We also love the location (mid Strip) allowing us to get everywhere pretty quickly.

I have stayed at many hotels but I prefer the Bellagio. Good deals for the Players Club members @ $99/night. Not cheap, but fair for the luxurious rooms/bathrooms. They also have $5 minimum at the tables during the day and have allowed me to be "grandfathered in" when the minimum changes in the evening. So I get to continue to play cheap.
I do spend the bulk of my gambling money in the hotel at which I stay, although I do drop $5 - $20 in slots as I pass through various hotels on the strip.
When the Golden Nugget completes their renovations & the pool is open, I will consider staying there again.

I suppose living in Theme Park Land (Orlando) I prefer downtown casinos... all within 3 steps from the curb.
For years I stayed at Lady Luck enjoying comp RFB and stretch limo to/from airport. As the property changed owners a few times, their slot club became harder to maintain the level of offers I enjoyed. Believe me, Im a low roller and sometimes make a trip to Las Vegas on a shoestring budget.
Prior to my last trip (October) I called the Four Queens and asked for a slot host. I explained I wanted to move my play and asked about their slot club and what it took to earn comp RFB. I then took a deep breath and asked if, since I had no history there, he would extend the casino rate for room until I was rated. No problem, only required deposit equal to first night ($35). When I arrived I asked if the hotel wasnt full would an upgrade to suite be possible... it was already held for me. Since I arrived late at night, I met my host the following day and was told I would be comped RFB. Upon checkout I was told my next trip would be comp RFB with a suite for 4 nights again.
Every two weeks or more for the last 9 months Ive received offers from Four Queens, Golden Nugget and Fremont for free entry into tournaments with 3 nights room. I played mostly at 4Q, maybe 8 hours at GN and 4 hours at Fremont. Cash back were good at both GN and 4Q. Just a walk to the desk at GN and Fremont resulted in comp dinners just for the asking. Each trip I spend a day on the strip hitting Cesars, Flamingo and Mandalay Bay.
My goal this October is to play a little more at Golden Nugget to try to earn comp RFB there.

Often in the past, as we were checking out of the Rio, we were told by our Host that we had "Extra Comp Money" left over. They always said we could use it on our next trip...so, we learned through trial and error to use it to our benefit! When you use your Diamond Card, you get a nice discount (I think it's 25% off) Rio/Harrah's merchandise, so that helps too as far as shopping. But definitely charge it to the room! All the gifts, things you forgot, or things that just are plain fun! I used to be skeptical too, but this last trip we really made out. I think that they want to see you leave with a big smile on your face, as we did!!

I have a friend that stays the mirage loyal. He has his VP $1.00 progressive area. that's it for him.
When I go with the above mentioned friend to the Mirage I head out the door to gamble. I scout out the next place to stay. Run a few dollars through the slots, get the comps started and keep the post cards deals coming in. This December I hope to try a different hotel for the first time with my friend.
As for me, 17 different strip hotels in 32 years. I hang at one place a few trips then move on. Deciding factor is room price first. then, does the hotel have everything I want
I am there to gamble If the hotel has everything I want why leave, no real reason to gamble else where, might as well get another hosts business card in my pocket, earn my comped free nights in the hotel i am staying at. See what free offers roll in.

The Four Queens are very hospitable, back in my early days, they graciously gave me a room when my travel agent (luckily they are no longer needed-thanks to the internet) and the GN shorted a large group of friends and family a room. I didn't even have to ask. I was approached by a Host, asked where I was staying, I explained the circumstance and was immediately given a room free for five nights, without playing for more than two hours at that point. I can't say enough nice things about the Four Queens, they still come and say hi when I visit and I always make sure to stop in, eventhough I choose to stay elsewhere now. I like to play their dollar slots, and like to give my business to a worthy cause. The Golden Nugget was not nearly as hospitable then, and from what I've recently heard, the GN is even less so now. It (GN) is a beautiful casino with great history, but what they lack is the charm, and they sure don't go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed as many of the other casinos so eagerly do. That is what unfortunately, in my eyes, sets them apart.

We (my mom and I) are very loyal to Harrah's. We have been staying at Harrah's for the last 20 years. We started out as Gold Members, then were Plantinum for many years. A few years ago my mom made Diamond and I made Diamond last year. We DO NOT spend a lot of money - don't have it to spend. We usually win a little bit, but not always. They treat us nicely. We haven't paid for a room for at least the last 6-7 years. Our comps more than cover our food. If we make our own reservations and can't get what we want, we then speak to a host and usually get what we want. Other than that, we never see a host while we are there. We always have a great time.
Some how (we still can't figure it out) we got on the casino junket list out of Ohio. We have been going to other Harrah's properties in Atlantic City, Tunica, Laughlin, etc. on them for about three years now. It is really fun and we have a good time. These trips also allow us to build up our points to maintain our Diamond status. By going on about 6-8 trips a year - most just overnight, we have more opportunties to build up points without spending a lot of money.
This year we are going in November for my birthday (usually go in October for mom's b'day). This year it is my special roman numeral "L" b'day as I refer to it. My aunt and uncle are also going with us. So far, Harrah's has given us two rooms comped for six nights each. We used a free night offer for one room for four nights only - balance was all casino comp. Our food for all of us will be covered by my mom's and my comps. Our airlines tickets cost os $7.00 plus 25000 miles each. Rental car is $56 each. So, this trip is cheap so far and that means more money to play with.
Only complaint I have about Harrahs is that you never seem to get the room you request, no matter how much you state you need a room close to the elevator due to someone having problems walking a long distance.

Loyalty.... not really. We like to stay at different places and/or find the deals.
This past June we stayed at the Wynn. We got a good deal and we were very pleased. In fact, we will stay there again..... BUT.......
We will never gamble there again. The comps aren't good and if you are a slot player don't expect drinks to come to you after 11:00pm.
Don't play at the tables after 11:00 (if you want drinks) unless your minimum is 25.00. They literally ignore you if you are at a 15.00 table. I'm not kidding.
We loved staying there. We loved the room. We loved the service (not the casino). If we stay there again which we probably will our gambling money will go elsewhere.

my loyalty is to the best deal. i like to stay at more than one casino on each trip, usually i stay five to seven nights on each L.V.trip. three days on the strip, three days either downtown or locals casinos.been staying D.T. at M.S.S. hotel is small, easy to get aroundand casino has good vp.i like the how close the casinos are to each other. comps are not hard to get at MSS andthe beer is good at the brew pub. i have stayed mostly center strip, since Harrah's owns most of the center strip, will be staying there next trip.Harrah's room comps are not bad for the play you have to give them. Orleans always have good deals and is a place to go if you are not getting comped and looking for agood price.

We have stayed at IP for over 15 years, 2,3, sometimes 4 times a year. Not high rollers, but give them enough play to have rooms comped, few years even RFB and limo to/from airport. Free NASCAR race, etc. Play there a lot but do give others in area some action. Love the location. Hate to see it go and will be interesting what Harrah's will do for us. Great staff and clean rooms, although not "upscale" rooms. Can't wait for August 22nd to go again. We do not really play at IP only for comps, although I think you are better off playing where you stay.

A few years ago I found myself walking from one end of the strip to the other, to get what I thought was the best ice cream very late at night. Now I just stay at Excalibur where the Cold Stone Creamery is, plus they have Krispy Kreme and Quiznos. Yes, I feel silly when I tell people I stay there because of their food court. The added bonus is that I found a woman in their hair salon (Joanne) who does a fantastic job. I don't care to gamble there much but I have had some luck on a couple of their slots. I generally like to play blackjack at Monte Carlo, Mirage, MGM, and TI.

We stay anywhere we can get for free, which is usually several places. We are going to Vegas in 4 weeks and we are staying at the Stardust for 2 nights, the Flamingo for 2 nights and the Cal for 2 nights. All for free. We will gamble in at least 10 to 12 different casinos during our trip. We will gamble the most in hotels other than or own and next time get free rooms at those hotels. While we like to try different hotels we still have our favorites. My wife's favorite hotel and casino is the Sahara. My favorite hotel is the Flamingo and my favorite casino is where ever I had the most fun that day.:p

Been there and done that...it is a lot of fun moving around! We'd even switch hotels for one free night! It's nice to get a taste of what's out there and not have to pay for it. Most places won't give you 5 or 6 nights unless your an elite player. Have a great trip and most of all have lots of FUN!!

We used to stay on Boulder Highway usually Arizona Charlie's but, lately we've been staying at the Golden Nugget. Yes there are real reasons:-) We don't have to rent a car, I don't have to worry about a DUI if I have a couple extra drinks and if I'm having a bad run I can change casinos without having to pack a lunch. Downtown seems to be getting better and the Strip just seems to be getting pricier.

When i started going to LV I decided i would stay at every hotel the strip had to offer, which included several factors, one if i got any comps for rooms or the best deals. I started going to LV in the late 70's (when i turned 21) and was going abt every other year to now mayb once a year, i have stayed at The sahara, circus circus (severel times), excalibur (sev ts), Harrahs (b4 it was harrahs) IP, Monte Carlo, Flamingo (ser ts), MGM (b4 it was Ballys), Ballys, The Dunes, Riviera, Mandalay Bay. NY NY. My very 1st time in Vegas my aunt likes to stay downtown took us to some dive of a Motel, and i vowed i would never do that again. This place didnt even have a slot machine.
But my last 2 times was at a time share just off the strip. I dont think I will be doing that to much either, not that it wasnt a bad place to stay, but it was away from the action, to quiet..... So i have only put a dent in all the hotels LV has to offer so I need to pick up the pace a bit....:)

We prefer trying out something new each time, but we're closing in on the end of strip properties that we're willing to pony up for. When it comes time to cycle through again, we'll probably rotate among the Coast properties. We've stayed at BC, GC, and Orleans and had a great time at all 3, and seem to have the most fun with fellow players as well.

I stay at the Flamingo for the past seven years allways get comped for at least two nights. I,m a low roller but still receive good rates, will be at Flamingo for three nights in Sept. for total price of $.95.00 not bad for a middle of strip casino.I do most of gambling at all of Harrahs properties which ever one seems to be a winning one is the one I gamble at:D

My hotel choices were based on how much money I had available for my vacation. If I was traveling on the cheap, the excalibur midweek rates suited me just fine. If I had money to burn, it was definitely Mandalay Bay, or the Rio, both having fantastic spa facilities. These days, I'd probably choose the Venetian, Green Valley Ranch, or Red Rock.
For gambling, I definitely stick to one casino, for the players club rewards. Now that I am a local, I get at least one promotion in the mail every week from Sam's Town. They give away at least 2 free "gifts" per month (generally a household type item that everyone can use), they have scratch cards twice a year, where you can earn bonus rewards points, and they also award free play practically every week, based on your level of play. I also earn at least 2 free buffets per week with my level of play. Now, if only the slots were a little looser, I'd be in heaven.

Wow! If any of the Harrah's execs are reading this forum, I bet they're patting themselves on the back. Looks like RIO's winning! I answered the question, then went back and read the other responses. The responses brought back a few other RIO memories.
I arrived one late night, 1 a.m., after a rough flight. I must have looked like he__! The desk clerk talked to a supervisor, came back to the check in counter, and told me I'd be extra comfortable in a Cariocus (sp?) suite. I thought, "OK, these are all suites anyway." I then gave the desk clerk a nice tip. Even though it was in the older part of the hotel, my jaw dropped when I opened the door. A huge living room, huge bedroom with a huge jacuzzi in the bedroom, huge bathroom, vanity room, and walk in closet (big enough to be an additional bedroom.) What a trip!
I also had friends visiting Vegas last week, and I nagged them, until they agreed to go to the Voodoo lounge. (They thought it would be too fancy) To my disappointment, the lounge was closed for a private party (young models in body paint only--what a sight in the elevator!) However, the elevator attendant and bartender at the Voodoo cafe were very accomodating, and the night turned out to be a success. My friends were totally impressed with the RIO, it's high energy, and my drink: "What the witchdoctor ordered!" (Gotta try one! Worth every penny of the $26.)

We usually stay at the Luxor or Excalibur. They have consistantly offered us great deals. We usually end up getting a free room, and I love the Luxor "free breakfast". We like to gamble at the Luxor, usually win something or break even. However, if I were to get a great deal equal to what we have now I would probably change hotels, as long as we can stay on the strip.

Our loyalty lies only with the city itself, Las Vegas. We have stayed at six strip casinos and always had a great time. We try to get the best package available for the time of the year we can go. We stayed at Paris in April and seem to be receiving very good deals from Harrahs for a future visit. We always gamble up and down the strip and really enjoy gambling at O'sheas and Harrahs. As long as we continue to have a great time then we will continue planning trips to show our loyalty to fun-city, Las Vegas!

I wish I could locate them because I think I was right with my opinions more times than I was wrong. I did say the Poker craze would not last so why displace all the horseplayers just to open a Poker Room? Hey, I not perfect!

For the last 10 years, we go to Vegas once a year every fall for about 11 nites & are loyal to the best deals on rooms. We move around to take advantage of the hotel rates & also minimize our walking as we don't rent a car. We hit as many casinos as we can to take advantage of their gambling offers, promos & food offers. This year we are at Sahara for 5 nites @ $48- per nite booked over the phone. While staying there we cover all hotels on the strip from there to Frontier & also Las Vegas Hilton, using all the ACG coupons & offers.
The next 2 nites are at The Plaza downtown on a ACG coupon 2 for 1 for a total of $79- for a tower room for 2 nites. The next 2 nites are at Binions downtown fot a total of $54- for 2 nites with the ACG coupon. These 4 days we cover all the downtown casinos.
Our last 2 nites are at the Imperial Palace for $65- per nite including buffets & matchplays. We go to all casinos between IP & Excalibur, including Ellis, Westin , Hard Rock , & Terribles
We book our next years trip as soon as we get home & see what's in the ACG as the rates usually go up in Jan. Other similar hotels that we get similar rates at in the past AGC or website coupons are Terribles, Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas Club
We are only loyal to our budget!

We stay for the location. As we/he actually attend shows that makes a difference.
We like the Imperial Palace for that most of the time as they are close to the convention halls and there are shuttle buses from there.
This past March there was a convention at Mandalay Bay convention centre and we ended up at Excalibur as it has the monorail and we got a really good deal with them, air and hotel via expedia.ca. The combination worked out to only $35 per night for the room including taxes. It worked out great.
Once we booked NAB in April late and got a discount package through Air Canada staying at the Hilton which was perfect for NAB of course.
I personally prefer a place which is within walking distance (up to 2 miles in any direction) and the Imperial Palace suits us there.

About 15 years ago, we started at the Mirage, but were playing ar Harrah's. They started sending some free nights, so moved to Harrah's for several trips.
From our play at Mirage, TI sent us several free nights. We now go twice a year for five nights with room, food, limos, and a show compted. I also, am entered in a slot tourney. Therefore, TI gets the majority of our play. Now all the MGM properties are offering good offers. We have a terrific host and stay with TI.

For the last 10 years it's been the RIO. Prior to that we stayed at several other strip and off strip casinos and found that we got better treatment at the Rio. After Harrah's took over we were treated equally as well and continue to be. A friend of ours has been coming out every year with but splits his days between two or three other properties and doesn't get comped as much. I must admit that I'm a little excited because now there is more of a choice and on our next trip we will be spending a night at Caesar's....have to keep it in the family :D

I am loyal only to the games I play. If the casino has the games I like to play, then I will patronize them. It has nothing to do with how nice the people are to me, or how pretty the pool is in the sunshine, etc.
It all boils down to the games. I used to love the PALMS, but now they
have single deck blackjack and 8 deck shoes on the main floor.
The only double deck and 6 deck shoes are in the high limit area.
The only reason you'll see me at the PALMS is if I want to see a movie,
visit the Ghost Bar, or if I get a free room in the mail.
This week's Topic Of The Week question was set to me by Boston Bill:
How loyal are you to a hotel?
Do you always stay at the same place or do you look for the best deals.
Do you gamble at one hotel to try and build up points?

I like the Coast casinos, been staying at the BC since about 95, usually split stay between BC and which ever one sent the best offer between GC or Orleans (free rooms and food). However, on the last trip got better offer's from the Orleans and South Coast, so skipped the BC. As long as the Orleans has good VP and the offers keep coming, I do not see a reason to change from the Coast's. I usually play 80% where I stay then go to different casinos and play except for Harrah’s.
Do not know why but just can not stand Harrah’s and will not play one nickel in any of them.

We used to stay at Harrah's or the Rio with at least two nights free, but the last few years the offers stopped coming. since then we like to stay at the Orleans as they offer free rooms and meals.
Harrah's sends me offers to New Orleans (we live in Houston) and have no desire to go there.

We are loyal Harrahs fans. Before the merger we also had Connection Cards, so now with all the different options we really stick to Harrahs. We have stayed in the namesake, Rio, Paris, and Caesars. After the Caesars stay I think I am partial to them, especially if I can get one of those his/her bath rooms in the Palace Tower. We also go to Harrahs props around the country. One of our sons lives in NOLA and the other in Chicago, so we frequent the Harrahs/Horseshoe casinos in the area when visiting them. We also go to Shreveport/Bossier City quite a lot as well, so we can rejuvenate our Total Cards balance there if we need to. We go to Tunica occasionally as well. Hubby uses his comps at Harrahs when travelling on business when he is in an area where there is a Harrahs owned property. NOBODY BEATS THEIR OFFERS.
Only thing we don't like is their weak cash back, but when you get free rooms for 4 or 5 nights, free food, free shows and can charge your shopping to your room and have it comped when you leave you can get by without so much cash in your pocket. Just use it to GAMBLE!!!!!
However, if we got a good offer from another property we would not be adverse to trying them. We like to play at MGM props but they don't give us much in the way of comps or offers.

Since Treasure Island opened I have stayed there. I would not think of staying anywhere else. The staff and my Slot Club Host spoil me during my stays. The majority of my play is at Treasure Island although I do play some at other MGM Mirage Resorts. At non-MGM Mirage resorts we may just stop in, play low denominations as we are walking.

I am definitely a Caesars fan for many years. When Harrahs took over I was depressed for months, but my experience has been fine so far - the biggest change I've seen is the reduction in cash back, but I can handle that as long as rooms are free and comps are decent. As I pretty much just play video poker my days at Caesars would end if they start getting rid of the decent paytables on all their VP. I also like Wynn a lot, but it takes a lot of play for a quarter multi line player to get a comped room here. If we're staying longer than five days, we usually spend the first day or two at a local's casino like Sam's Town (they are very generous with their offers).

Back in the old days we usually went on a charter trip and stayed at the Stardust or Flamingo when they had motel type rooms in back of the casino. After that it was Harrah's, and then they got too expensive. Also stayed at the old Alladin and the Barbary Coast which was nice. The last few years have been at the Imperial Palace which we really liked. This year we are trying something different and staying off the strip at the South Coast. We have friends that live near by so we will be able to see them more often, and if we want to go to the Strip we can take the shuttle. The Strip has become very populated and we don't like to walk around it at night.

After staying at many different places on the strip and downtown, I now limit myself to 3. Caesars is my favorite but I don't always get affordable rates on days I like. Monte Carlo, cheap rooms, great location. Orleans, free rooms + food. Low roller tables. I usually stay for 4-5 nights so I often split the trip between 2 of the properties.

We don't get much in the way of comps, I get discounted Room offers all the time from TI and NYNY though. We used to stay at TI all the time, then moved onto Mirage, and now we love Bellagio. I have stayed at others and I used to really like PPE comp system or was it Caesar's Entertainment, I think they were both similar. Now I stay away, Harrah's doesn't do it for me!
We stay where we want, we take two vacations a year and both are to Vegas, I want to stay somewhere that I enjoy the room and not worry about whether I have played enough for future offers. I will start playing more where I stay though, or atleast within MGM properties a bit more, especially with the merger, it will open up more hotels to us.
This upcoming trip we are staying at Wynn for a few nights, then Mirage and ending our trip at Bellagio since we had an night added on and the rates were less than Mirage!!! We have our limits to what we will pay and we do try to go during slower times, but I like my nice rooms!!!

I always stay where they comp my rooms. I have worked my was from Sam's Town, to the MGM. I like the way MGM treats me, and I plan to come there for a long time. I like MGM Mirage, and Sams Boyds Properties, next time I go, I will visit Orleans for the first time. I usually play at the south end of the strip, but since Mirage, and TI are owned my MGM Mirage, I can build my points up there, I will play there in the future.
I want to try Casino Royale also, I have heard some good, more bad! Downtown fun on the strip.
But MGM has EVERYTHING there, you do not have to leave the casino. :)

We've stayed at Treasure Island (I guess it's TI now) probably 30 times since it opened. Maybe it's not as "fancy" as some of the new places, but for our requirements, it is perfect. Being directly across the street from the Fashion Show Mall allows the "boss" great shopping. It is about 5 minutes from TI to the intersection of New York, Tropicanna, and MGM by staying off Las Vegas BLVD. The people at TI treat us great and, believe it or not, the comps aren't bad. We can get to Ceasars by using the Mirage tram in about 10 minutes. We'll be there again very soon.

I have only stayed at two hotels (worldwide) that were nicer rooms - and both cost much much more!

When my wife and I go we tend to stay at different place each time. We are still pretty young, under 30, so we like to try to find a place that we might consider for long term loyalty. It's been fun for us because we've found things we like, or don't, about one place and take that info when we stay somewhere else. We are looking to be loyal at some point, but not right now. When it comes to gambling I do have some loyalty to Mirage. I guess because that's when I turned 21 that was the first place I played. My wife likes to play wherever we are staying to build up loyalty points.

The nice thing about being loyal to Harrah's Total Rewards is that they have hotels and casinos all over the country and Canada, 6 of them being in Las Vegas. Caesars, Rio, Flamingo, Harrah's, Paris, & Harrah's. Many choices, lots of comps.
We still occasionally check out other places, especially if it is new and at least one day each trip is devoted to locals casinos, mostly Station brand.
Being a low roller, I am not loyal to a certain hotel except Wynn. I want a hotel that is 1. Clean room / not yucky & outdated bathroom -- room should be comparable or nicer to home; afterall I'm on vacation! 2. I prefer center strip because I like to be able to walk everywhere.
Wynn is the only one who I get decent offers from. I have tried different places. I wish Monte Carlo was center strip. Bally's rooms are too far from the strip. Flamingo - you never know what you are going to get. Harrah's rates seem to fluctuate wildly, but I have them booked for 7/7/07 as they are the most reasonable and center strip, & plenty of places to sit at the pool and I love Carnaval Court and the piano bar. IP -- the elevators are still sucky. :p I have stayed at Mirage (love the location and the buffet but windows were too high for a "view"). I get decent rates at TI, but I hate their buffet and there is no lounge entertainment there.
I would like to stay at Bellagio and Venetian someday, but the rates have not been worth it so far. Although Bellagio casino always seems dead.
Those who think they are getting "free" rooms -- :D
I guess I'm still trying to find my perfect hotel! :)

We normally stay at the Aladdin. A few nights elsewhere, but usually we're happy and at home at the Aladdin. They have treated us right in the past, with RFB, or at the lease usually just the R.
Excited to see it now that its almost finished, I think this trip in April (14-21) will be the deciding factor on whether our loyalty stays with the property after the re branding is complete.
As for location, it couldn't be better, walk everywhere, quick exit to Paradise or to Tropicana for off strip and out of city Jaunts...great rooms for our gambling level, great room service, friendly staff that remembers us from one trip to the next...couldn't be happier...but again, lets see if Planet Hollywood can keep it up!

We've stayed at Bally's JUST because we have learned our way around the property and so far, the rooms have been nice and affordable. Husband is a creature of habit and if he's comfortable...I can convince him to go with me...sneaky huh?? We're not high rollers, but play slots enough to get good offers and comped at the end of our stay.
We would be more loyal to the Wynn, (we stayed there once) but the casino is too tight (for me).
My husband is also a creature of Habit!! After that, I can say we have returned to Harrah's for many years. The comps are good, but just as important is the personnel at Harrah's. We have made friends with Harrah's employees. They welcome us with each visit. Also give use exceptional personal service. A casino can become too large and impersonal. However, during the past few years, Harrah's Las Vegas is our home-away-from-home. The bartenders are awesome, as well as the servers in the buffet. Calvin Brookes, at the Range, is so good as a jazz entertainer. He is a Detroit, MI guy. If you get to Harrah's and and Range....see Calvin, and Jeff Popp. You will not be disappointed.
