5000 Member Mark

I am very pleased to announce that we passed the 5000 member mark today on the Forums. These are registered members and do not count the lurkers. :) :) :)

Steve, That's GREAT! I follow a couple other message boards. One doesn't have nearly the membership and isn't very active, the other has a large membership, but doesn't seem very well organized (although I do see a few ELVs there from time to time).

I love this site and have learned so much from you and everyone else here. One of these days, I hope to catch up with you at one of the official meets.

Just a comment about this. I have had a few requests about starting an "off topic" forum where what you mentioned above could be discussed. I think, and you verified my thinking by stating that this type of forum might possibly lead to argumentative type posts. So I am very glad I made the decision to keep this "Everything Las Vegas."

Also want to mention that the Forums would not be the success that they are without the wonderful posters and dedication of the answerers.

I agree with other posters about keeping thing about Vegas only. I have left other boards that turned into nothing more than an opportunity for a bunch of unhappy people to flame each other. The two boards I stay with only allow Vegas and gambling related material and not personal attacks. That isn't to say I don't like to spout of my opinion on things I do and see in Vegas, and there are places on this board to do that without attacking other posters vis-a-vis time share hawkers, kids in Vegas etc.
Keep up the good work and thanks for Everything Las Vega.;)

We probaly have that many people now in the form of lurkers....people that just read the posts but are not registered. 6 seems to be a strategic number as the newsletter is approaching it's 600th issue :)

Congratulations!! And thank you so much for all you do. We like the fact that the website is devoted only to Las Vegas topics and that we get to share and receive information from people who have the same favorite vacation place we do. This is the fun stuff - no politics, religion, etc. - there's plenty of that around in other places.:)
