;) How many people are single & traveling to Vegas? Do you travel alone when you go? Do you get wild & crazy or stay with the same personality you have at home? Where do you stay & for how long? Did you ever meet "someone" there? Did you continue to keep in touch if you did?

Inquiring minds want to know..............lol ;)

I travel to Vegas alone all the time. I haven't met anyone there but I become a totally different person when I'm there. It is just like the ad says "What goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas." But I have a wonderful time there when I go. Do you travel to Vegas alone?:D

I'm single but go with married gals who leave their husbands home. I've never gone to Vegas alone, altho it wouldn't scare me too. I've never met anyone there. I don't even think about that. Except when I fell in love with Barry Manilow last year! We stay at Flamingo, it's home, center strip, love pool area & many outside spaces. Stayed at a few other Hotels over the years. We stay five days, four nights. Been going to Vegas for about 12 years, addicted! Viva

Not single - married 36 years

Do you travel alone when you go?
I travel with hubby, meet siblings, go with friends, and go alone.

Do you get wild & crazy or stay with the same personality you have at home?
Same personality - only crazy when it comes to long marathon BJ sessions

Where do you stay & for how long?
Go for various periods, from four days to over a week - record was 11 days; stay all over, usually off strip since I ALWAYS rent a car

Did you ever meet "someone" there? Did you continue to keep in touch if you did?
Always wind up with "table buddies" def. people I sit with at the same table for several days during visit, but haven't kept up with any of them. Do look for them when I visit, however.

Have met people, but not like you mean - have made friends with several locals - a couple and a single girl friend. Yes we keep in touch, and always get together when in town. ..trying to get them to visit us in Texas, as well.

I've gone to Vegas a few times by myself and have a great time - haven't met anyone there other than people I meet playing blackjack.
Sometimes meet friends there from here. Am heading there a week Saturday - my friend from Alberta has a vet conference there.
I think Vegas is one place you can go by yourself and feel safe and I don't feel a lack of things to do,

Been to Vegas once for Spring Break.. and I am going again for the fourth of July.. Friends backed out at last minute after I bought my ticket. Not letting it get me down though.. I'm gonna go have a great time and see what I can get into. Maybe will not be hitting up the clubs this time, but there are a lot of great hangout spots. .

Me and 3 other girls are meeting for the first time in Vegas. We play at a poker room site and decide to all get together. This will be the first time for me being in Vegas single (kind of scary...lol), don't PLAN on meeting anyone, but my eyes are wide open;)

I always go by myself I like it that way - can do what I want when I want - thats great. I have done several MEETS with people from this newsletter and everyone has been great!!! Hope to do more when I go April 23-25th. I am a Harrah's player therefore I naturally stay at Harrah's properties as I am Comp I will be staying at Wynn this time as they sent me a very nice package!! Guess they want me back - guess what it worked. If you go April 23-25th let me know there will be a meet I'm sure. And I will be going July for Steve's Slot T!

Get wild and crazy when I used to travel out here. I sure couldn't get wild and crazy working in Lansdale, Pa and living near Souderton! LOL

I had a special wardrobe of sparkling dresses I brought.

Sometimes I came with a friend, but mostly I came alone. My friend wanted to spend her time and $$$ in the couture (sp?) shops at caesars. Didn't interest me, since I never had that kind of money.

I hooked up with a stranger once. I wasn't even that drunk, and he wasn't even that good looking. I never saw him again after our 1 nighter. It always seemed when I was "on the prowl" I couldn't find a single if my life depended on it. Everyone was there with friends, or their significant other.

I wrote in the past tense, as I now live in Vegas. I only get wild and crazy occassionally, as I work a lot of hours, and must stay in professional mode!

I haven't been to Vegas completely solo before but I have spent two nights alone in Vegas because my friend had to leave a day early, and once when a friend had to arrive a day later. On one occasion I walked the strip at night with my camera and tripod and got a lot of really nice shots, including my avatar.

On the other occasion, I met a guy on the elevator an hour after my friend flew back home to L.A. We locked eyes when he got on and started talking as we got off. He was in Vegas alone too, and asked me if he could buy me a drink. I never turn down a free drink, and he was VERY handsome, so we found two seats at the bar. We spent the next 20 hours together (until he had to fly home) exploring the strip. We had SO much fun together! He tried to change his flight so he could fly home with me (my flight had a connection in his home town and we were on the same airline). We ended up dating long distance for about 8 months- he even flew to Columbus to see me! In the end it didn't work out, but that is my amazing "love at first sight" story from Vegas!

Before I moved here, I often came her by myself. I also travelled light. It was usually a shoulder canvas bag, with just a few things. I would also bring a few DVD's. When I checked in, I usually ordered room service and plopped myself in front of the TV, popped in a DVD, and yeah....just like at home. LOL. Take a nap...get up at 3 am, and it was time to play. When I play, I usually don't like crowds, so at 3 am, it was pretty quiet. The thing about playing slots or video poker machines, you don't need company.

You asked about meeting people??? There were times when guys would hit on me, but the folks at Caesars always kept me safe. When they would see a guy talking to me, the slot manager on duty would always whisper in my ear, "want me to get rid of him"?....yes...please.

But those days of coming here by myself are long gone. Now I live here, and I don't go playing much anymore unless guests are in town.

Winegums, welcome to the ELV forums. I check http://www.smartervegas.com/ for discount codes a couple times a week. I don't see Phantom listed but maybe there's something else you might be interested in.

I agree with all of the posts about the positives of vacationing in LV alone. My first trip to LV was June 1997. I've been going 1-2 times a year ever since. I traveled solo for about 1/2 of the trips. I have no problems traveling solo. Many advantages. When I have someone traveling with me, it's my SIL Kathy and LV is NEVER prepared when we hit town!!! :D We hit LV running.

Keep us updated on your plans and Please, Please give us a TR when you get back.

How many people are single & traveling to Vegas?
I am single

Do you travel alone when you go?
Out of my 10 trips so far, 5 have been solo.

Do you get wild & crazy or stay with the same personality you have at home?
I am an outgoing, social guy so I am no different than at home, expcet just revved up more lol. I like to have fun

Where do you stay & for how long?
I've stayed 4-6 nights, depends on the rates and flight combinations.

Did you ever meet "someone" there? Did you continue to keep in touch if you did?
I have met a few locals and do keep in touch witht hem. Some trips I didn't call anyone because I was only there for 3-4 days and was attending an event or just wanted to do my own thing.
I know some of the girls who work in the restaurants and bars, so it is great to drop by and see them.

One trip, June 2007, I had been talking online to this girl from Michigan, I had told her I just finished booking my Vegas trip for June. She asked what days I was going because she was as well in June with friends. Low and behold it was the same days, she was going Sun-Thu and I was going Sun-Fri. She mentioned they were staying at Excalibur..so was I. So we had to meet. I ended up spending Sun-Thu doing things with her everyday and night, had an awesome time and still keep in touch. We took lots of pics of us together. Now in January when I go, she is going to meet up with me for 4 of my 6 nights. I told her she has to stay with me, which she laughed and replied "I'd have it no other way."
So it will be fun.
