A local writer for the Post-Gazette here in Pittsburgh has written an article praising the new show, "Love", now at the Mirage.I couldn't imagine how they were going to replace S&R's show, but after reading this review and the other posts on the Board, it sounds like they have a winner, I can't wait to see it!!

One of the best reviews I've seen yet is at www.foxnews.com
Type...'beatles reunion' in the SEARCH to find Roger Friedman's story.

Greg thanks for the article, it was great, I am sending to my friend. They may be going out Labor Day week and her Mother is a HUGE Beatles fan so they want to see it. They are seeing Ringo Starr next week at the Mohegan Sun in CT.

Hey Gregio we have seat in October. I had already bought them before I read what you wrote. I believe we are in sec 104 row 3. should we try to change?

GREGRIO

YES and NO
You're real close, but it will look pretty cool. It will be kinda hard
to get the whole scope of the Show sitting that close I think...
The Upper Orchestra is the place to be for me. If they'll let you
change, I would or see it from further back also on another trip.

Please don't feel bad if you can't change your seats. The experience
you'll have down front will be great. I've read posts that say they
wished they'd been further back, others have enjoyed down front....
I want to see it from down front once too!
It's just that if this is a one shot deal, I think the BIG PICTURE works
better than a DETAILED one for the first time.

Thanks Gregrio. I think I'll try to change. I'm sure this won't be my last trip to Vegas. LOL. I'm hoping they will add a dinner pkg to this show as well. I think I can change my seat because they told me if they add the pkg deal I could call back and change my tickets then. Thanks again for the advice.:D

Excellent show!!!

We sat in Section 207 and my only advice on seating is that if possible, try to get seats on the interior of a row as opposed to the outer edges. I say this because they use curtain drapes at various times and between that and railings, your vision is a little obscured if you are trying to take it all in.

There also needs to be a realistic approach to this show. It is not a typical Cirque show with acrobats, etc. Yes, some of this happens, but it is mostly ariel or even a skateboard segment. It's a lot more like Ka in that the emphasis is more on the storyline versus the "tricks". Much attention is drawn to the music and in all honesty, the visual pictures of The Beatles as well as the playing of conversations that were probably recorded in the studios while recording their music. Sometimes the attention is to a fault because you are so involved with the ending photos, that it's hard to give proper attention to the ensemble of performers. Yes, we stand, clap and call out Bravo, but you linger to watch the last images on the screen.

Many were heard to comment on leaving that they wished for such-and-such song but the reality is that with so many "hits", you simply can't do all of them justice in a 90 minute show. Perhaps, in time, these left out songs will provide changes to a show that definitely warrants more then one visit.

One of the shows that makes you feel it was worth the expense :) Don't forget to grab a few of the free Beatles buttons that they offer as you are leaving the area. Costs for beverages were lower then at Celine Dion's theatre and the beverage area was done up like a concession stand, complete with movie theatre candy offerings.

Bathrooms at the top of the theatre, before going down to the seat, are available only before and during the performance. They closed them for after-performance use.

Like many of the Cirque performances, I don't think I would have wanted to sit on the same level as the stage. With more then usual arial happenings, it must have been tiresome to keep looking upward. Great seats!

My husband and I sat in the next to the top row in the "cheap seats." I was so involved with the show the last two songs moved me to tears. We've seen several shows, and I would have to say that Love and Blue Man Group are at the top of my list.

'sue2u2', go to www.mirage.com
'click' the LOVE picture and you'll see the prices and can
open the seating chart.

I doubt there'll be much change in the Show in re. to music
or scenes, it seems pretty set. There's so much I missed too.
As time goes on and you read more and more insights as to
the imagery used in each scene...things you totally missed during
the Show...I need to see it at least one more time (and will) in Sept.
This time I got a seat at the very back of one of the down front
sections...just to see the contrast.

Speaking of the imagery...I'm so slow! The Volkswagons in the Show
for example were obvious...BEATLES, but when the one blows up...?
....went right over my head at the time...it's the break up of the BEATLES
which gets back to what KenoMom was saying about watching/following
everything and missing other things. Like other CIRQUE Shows, there's a lot
going on, but it's a very cool Show!
