We are going out June 7th thru the 13th and staying at the Southcoast. Are there any coupons available for the buffet or other places to eat there? We have been out to Vegas approx. 30 times and normally stay on the strip either at the Flamingo or Monte Carlo. It now seems as if they have almost doubled the room rates in the past 2 years. So I am sure we will enjoy staying at the Southcoast since we always rent a car. If you have any info to share about the Southcoast please pass it along.
Thanks in advance
Madmeg:)

As far as I know all of the Coast hotels still give you a coupon book at check in. It does not always include buffet discounts but sometimes it does. You usually get more than one free drink coupon and sometimes a free bottle of wine at the buffet. Usually once you have stayed they will send you offers like the other hotels but a lot of times those offers do include free buffets for your stay.....and as always if you are racking up the points on that players card you can use those or ask the floor people for something. The Southcoast is a little out of the way but the rooms are supposed to be very nice. One tip...if you drive up to the strip and are coming back on the Southbound 15 get off at Blue Diamond and take S. Las Vegas Blvd. the rest of the way. There is not another exit beyond Blue Diamond until several miles PAST the Southcoast if you're heading in that direction!!

I was at the South Coast in late May, having gone to check it with a local friend. It was beautiful, if a bit generic.

They gave her a free coupon book when she signed up for the player's club, but I could not get one because I already had a Club Coast card.

I cannot be sure that the coupon book might be the same as one you might receive, but it did include a 2-1 buffet coupon that we used that day - as a local, she's tried a lot of the buffets around town - not only was I impressed, but she loved it! Everything was fresh, the room was colorful and bright, and there were lots of food stations with different ethnic cuisines.

She had recently been to another new buffet with local friends, and thought this one was WAY better!! She is a vegetarian and I am not, but we were both pleased!! We had a great " do it yourself" salad, made to order Chinese food - you choose the meats, veggies, etc., and they fix it for you - you even choose your sauce base - we had a shrimp dish with various veggies - it was great!

They had great boiled shrimp. Of course, we tried the desserts - we had a couple tiny little treats - perfect end to a great meal!!

While you are there, go to the equestrian center - on the day we went in late May, we were lucky enough to get in (free) and watch a cutting horse competition. They had several booths selling goods, as well. There is even a bar in the equestrian area - think that have dueling pianos sometimes, according to the table tents.

There is a coupon in the American Casino Guide for a free dinner (or lunch) buffet when you get four of a kind on a video poker machine. We redeemed a few during our stay in May.
