I got this thru an e-mail sent to me. For $29.99 per nite mid-week, it includes 2 free show tickets to Viva Las Vegas, 2 for 1 tickets to Bite or American Superstars, free entrance to the tower between 10am and 2pm, and free use of the fitness facilities. Subject to availability. Must be 21 years or older. Offer is not transferable. "$29.99 Midweek and $69.99 Weekend Take the Plunge Special" is valid from May 29, 2006 to June 30, 2006. Excluding June 2-5, holidays, special events and high peak convention periods. Must book by May 28, 2006. Limited availability. Does not apply to groups or conventions. Not valid with any other offer. Based on double occupancy. Must be 21 and over to access Beach Club 25. I have stayed at the Strat in the past and enjoyed it. They were quite generous with low level comps (free rooms and slot tournies). I would call it a 'good value' with clean basic rooms, decent casino and pool - pleasant enough as long as you're not expecting luxurious accommodations.
P.S.- Stay away- very far away from the buffet!

I just returned from Stratosphere -- using this offer.
I was also given a $50 Redemption Coupon = $50 free cash !
Very nice offer.
Stratosphere is improving.
It had been years since I stayed last --
More food options now.
Late nite food specials, casino deli, inc.
Small Poker Section -- Fitness room --
( Less reasons to leave their property than previously)
This is an "international tourist" destination --
I heard many languages spoken during my stay.
.
Trip Report, soon.

I recall that the area around it is not too good? Is it safe to walk out down the street to the Sahara or further or no? Some say it is not and some say it is. Seems the Strat has some good deals alot of times. Might want to take a chance sometime.

We have walked from the Sahara to the Strat and back and from the Sahara to the Riviera and back many, many times with no problems. Probably late at night the area between the Strat and Sahara could get a little sketchy.:(
