Has Anyone Visited Mt. Charleston? Is It Worth The Drive? What Is There To Do There? Thx Waco

Mt Charleston is nice...there is camping, a lodge with a nice restaurant, skiing, snowboarding, lessons, etc. I take my kids up there to go sledding sometimes, theres a big hill. There is also the hotel which has nice rooms, good restaurant, nice bar. Few machines there, but if you cant stand to be away from them, they are there.

We had a taxi driver once that lives there, he says it's a nice place to live. Lots of green and the temperature is about 20-25 degress less than Las Vegas. You might keep that in mind too. :)

Its a big skiing attraction in Winter! Ski all day and play all night.

Other seasons, there are some great view, cleaner air, trees and a mellow atmosphere.....a great daytime get-a-way from the gaming as well.
