Can anyone tell me about the "In and Out"Burger joint. We have been coming to Vegas since 1982 and I'm always joking about taking my wife for a gourmet dinner there. However lately I have been reading reviews that describe the place as a diamond in the rough. Worth a stop?

In-N- Out Burgers are like McDonalds or Burger King...some of them are just drive through, others have seating areas like McD's and BK....it is just a fast food burger place

There are quite a few of them around the Las Vegas area...burgers are good for fast food. I happen to like Carl's Jr. or Fatburger better though, but my opinion is that In-N-Out and Fatburger are both better than (McD and BK, Wendy's, Sonics, etc.)

It certainly is not something I would be making a point to try if I were visiting Las Vegas though...instead go to the Burger Bar in Mandalay Place (Mandalay Bay Hotel) Oh my gosh yummy!

I had an In & Out burger and thought it was disgusting, way inferior to Fatburger.

IMHO Fatburger is hands down the best fast food burger out there.

Fat Burger>Sonic>Mac D's>Burger King>In & Out

* never had a Carls Jnr burger, but their commercials make them look real tasty.

Go for Fatburger, or Red Robin. Red Robin is more of a sit down, while Fatburger is more "fast food type". But my hands down fave is Fatburger.

We went there based on all the good things we were reading about it. It was a major disappointment. Go to Wildfire and get their burger special. One of the best we have had, especially for the money.

In and Out Started out in California. There burgers are pretty good for fast food. There animale style fries are great, they are not on the menu. I'll eat there before I eat at Fatburger or Wendy's. Though if I still lived in the Il or IA I'd say Cluvers has the best burger. That's just my two cents.

In-N-Out bugers are rubbish. Only good thing is the tee shirts

Fatburgers are much better.

Not that i know a great deal coming from the UK, but have tried both in different parts. And by far the best is Fatburgers :)

Wow, I'm blown away! I think In-N-Out is the best, so I cannot believe all of the negative reviews.

It's one our first stops while in Vegas; I developed my addiction while attending college in SoCal and have forced others to join in. The shakes are great, and everything is fresh--you can see them making the fries as you wait in line.

Finally, they are one of the best employers in the industry, providing their workers with fair wages and a good working environment, so that makes me happy as well!

Since someone mentioned the non-menu Animal Fries, here's a list (and review) of the many non-menu items available.

I've eaten at many In-n-Out restaurants throughout California and found the quality to be good and consistent. I think the best thing is the friendly service. I think the reason for this is because all restaurants are corporate owned, there are no franchises.

Personally, for fast food hamburgers I like Tommy Burgers the best. Again, this is a corporate owned business, no franchises.

This is making me hungry.

Fat Burger V. In-And-Out.

Good way to start a war!

Fat burger: thick patty, very messy and juicy.

In and Out - thin patty, fresh, fresh fresh toppings and fries, and the famous secret menu.

I like In and Out. Fat burger was too messy and greasy for me.
