MGM Buffet

I have never seen any comments of the buffet at the MGM. Is there one? Has anyone ever been and how was the food?

I have seen reviews and it is Not in the top 5. I have never been there.

We've done it a few times but its been three or four years since the last time. It was always fine, no bad memories about it, and they did heat up the cold crablegs for my wife when she asked. I seem to remember, though, it was not inexpensive but we had comps for it.

I've eaten at the MGM buffet a few times--first in 1999, then 2000 and then 2001 or 02(comped). It's not top 5 but it would be in my top 10. I'd go again.

I'd say it's just OK for the price. The food itself is done well and there's a pretty good selection. I'd rank it and Mandalay Bay as the top two on the south end of the strip, but I'd wouldn't go out of my way for either.

ate there mid week june '05, i dont eat a big breakfast but fruit and a bagel and coffee at their "coffee shop" was going to be more than the buffet...
sooo..no brainer...it was good, fresh, plenty of choices, sushi came out as we were on the tail end to the lucnh crowd...

i am not a buffet fan, but this seemed better than average...staff was very attentive that i can say...

I ate at the MGM Buffet the last weekend in March, 2006. We stayed at the MGM and buffet for 2 was part of the 3 free night package. The price for DINNER would have been $27.99 plus tax each. Let me just say this, the food I ate was not bad, but the food choices, in my opinion, were not near as good as at the Spice Market Buffet at Aladdin. They did have a unique mashed potato station which was good. I was just expecting a whole lot more for the money. By the time I left, I was really glad it was free!

I will say the deserts offered were very good :D
